I never had a storage before but (I believe it was Ignacio) broke down the rate insurance and admin fee for me. They have access through holidays which is helpful for my line of work, business finally grew enough for me to need the extra space, Woo! If you have a business you can speak with the manager about possibly extending your access if there's space. THE COLLECTORS Once upon a time there were a couple of "collectors" who thought it was really fun to go to yard sales, antique shops, grandma's basement, and other such places that clearly held treasures and other incomparable, sentimental memorabilia. They also thought they needed to hang on to furniture, inherited, that was way too good to donate. This couple, Dee and Dubyew, never even considered the fact that (eventually) all that good stuff would not fit inside their humble abode, try as they may, until one day they realized that without some quick action, the house would become a war zone...and that stuff was clearly already winning. Dee and Dubyew, such good hearted people, had every honest intention of downsizing, but their brains apparently had an electrical short. So, getting a storage unit was considered a viable, temporary solution....just until the "kids" moved out and took much of the saved stuff with them to furnish their own humble abodes, or Dubyew sold it on EBay or a yard sale. It didn't matter that most of the stuff they had saved had a value less than a deflated soccer ball, or the kids didn't really like or want it. The collection grew. Six years passed and one day, a letter came in the mail. Get your stuff out, it said. We are selling the property, knocking it down, and you will be happy to know we no longer will be extorting you for your money. It was then that something in Dubyew snapped. We may have to resort to another storage unit, but *all* that stuff is not coming with us, said she. Dee trembled and knew that his empty beer can collection, the gorilla fur rug, and the eight appliance-sized boxes filled with ketchup and soy sauce packets needed to go. Grandma's hookah pipe and rubberband ball the size of a moose head were also a no-go. So, Goodwill said thank you, the 1970's vintage school books and ugly furniture were finally gone, and Waste Management had to hire temporary workers due to an unexpected surge in dumpsters filling up. After successfully whittling their collection down to at least half, it was time to find new storage. And that is where Yelp became their hero. There were many local storage places, but all even more expensive that the previous one, and with shockingly less square footage. All but one. Yes, Storage Stop. Mind you, there was a waiting list. There was also a really hip manager, Melody, who willingly worked with them, so well that she had just the right unit available within one day. The prices...unbeatable, the unit...clean, the security...satisfactory, the management...a precious jewel. Happy ending? Well maybe not quite yet. The D's still need to purge more collections, but they are in a far better place than before, literally and figuratively and economically. This place is a dirt and dust-bowl nightmare. I spend most of one day cleaning out the dirt that blows into my storage unit (I'm not talking about a little dust and dirt - it's a ton). There is NO weatherstripping at all. Huge gaps allow everything to blow inside. Grit everywhere. Management doesn't care at all. read more

my service today as I speak, I'm here to rent a truck and move out of my storage unit due to health reasons. I am no longer to continue on which I am a business when I rent at this place. My first question was 24 hour hour. ask access I was in that mindset I come and then I'm told they had too many so they weren't gonna allow anymore but there's people after me that have 24 hour access. I've experience Rachel profile because I was in my storage and there was a lady across from me, and I was called every name outside of who I was and I was informed by the employees. Why would they tell me that they did nothing to her? I don't find that I'm experiencing the most ungodly treatment that I was quoted 258 and I get here due to unforeseen tragedy in the family emergency. I was able to be here , two days later and I walk in and I'm told by the male who is very rude and short, have some mental illness. I'm not sure but he tells me he was standing next to the manager when she quoted me a price no, he was not it was 258 and now they want 318 so basically they put the fees back on after they remove them. That's even ethical but that's what's happening and I don't like that because that's what I came in prepared to do so now I have to come up with additional funds in order to pay what they feel that they have to do you do not quote a price and then change it. That's not that's not legal and I will pursue that next thing the gentleman is laughing very will not give me a copy of the bill before pay. He told me he would not do it and that I needed to pay 318 before he gives me anything that's not how that goes. If I wish to see what you're charging me for I should be allowed to have that but he's not doing it so of course I do not wish to speak to anyone who's rude and talking to me and laughing in my face , the manager supposedly is not here, but he says that's what she said and that's not the truth. I know what I was quoted. Supposedly this whoever owns this business is upset and don't like the fact that I'm asking for fees to be reduced well my income has been limited and I had to explain this, but the fact of it is is that I paid the storage even when it was high in the amount I never forfeited or defaulted and that meant nothing to him. She told me he didn't care so if this is what you want to run when you get into a situation, trust and believe they will not honor your excuses, they will call them and they will not give you a discount and they will try to sell your items so do not come here they're higher than the rest of the storages and they have no facilities they offer you and you will encounter some rude people and liars because if you tell me something, that's what it should be because I don't come in and you don't know why does it mean that you should raise the prices and have someone sitting there and cutting me off and listening and bullying and making me tell me I need to pay him before he gives me anything and what part of America do you bully someone for money I'm a senior I'm disabled and I'm alone and this is what I've been. That was a very scary situation , don't walk up to me in an angry way and that's what he has done and he's lying. Storage Stop - This is the facility that I am talking about and this is what you encounter - Self Storage Near Me - Norco, California

If you can find a different facility for your storage needs I would go elsewhere. I rented a 10x10 unit here for 2.5 years and there was always something happening with the facility. At one point they changed the automatic payment without notifying so I had to back pay for 3 months in one payment. Secondly, the facility is out door so there is so much dirt and debris that gets into the actual unit itself. Lots of gross bugs!!! Third, upon cancelling they continued to charge my card. I have tried to get my refund for over a month and a half. I've tried calling and keep getting the run around. I shouldn't have to call week after week being the one to follow up. I called again today for my last attempt to get my refund but they answered and hung up. I tried calling again but they let my calls go to voicemail. The guy who works there is unprofessional and rude. The girl Melissa is nice but at the end of the day hasn't resolved this issue with no follow up on their end. They don't care at all. Overall, disappointed and don't recommend to anyone. For the price you pay I would go somewhere else with air conditioned units that are clean and kept up with maintenance. read more

Mel is absolutely amazing! She went out of her way for me a few times when I absolutely NEEDED to stay a little past hours. That and our 2 personalities really took off! Nice and clean place. I had it for around 2 yearsish and had no problems with things you really don't think of like BUGS!!! They keep the property very well maintained. The place has gone south since manager Mel passed away last year. The staff was less then polite when they told me and I was left stunned at the news. My family had known Mel and her husband for years. Would have been nice to pay my condolences. The staff that replaced her are less then hospitable. They provide information on the phone that is false. I have sent requests to speak with the owner and have heard nothing. I actually had to contact the City of Norco to get the owners address, since I suspect the management just threw the letters in the garbage. They told me that Mel had mismanaged the books and have no record of verbal agreements. I am looking to move out soon and would NOT recommend this location unless you are desperate. read more

I'm really only writing a review because there are none, which surprises me. I've had a few storage units around corona/norco area in the past, but none compare to Storage Stop in Norco. I moved to orange county 2 years ago but keep my storage unit here because I really don't want to haul my stuff to another unit, and the customer service and unit prices seriously cannot be beat. I used to pay a little over a hundred bucks for a garage size unit and recently downsized to a smaller one for half the price. I always paid more at other locations. Mel in the office is great. She works with you if you're behind, need to get into your unit a little after the gate closes, need to have a friend or family member enter your unit, lose your lock and need to cut the old one off with her bolt cutters(which I've done three times now). And they sell new locks for a reasonable price. It's behind stater Bros off of Second Street and River Road which is convenient for me even living 40 miles away since it's close to my family's house so I'll probably keep my unit there until I move too far to commute. I've had both storage unit companies off hamner in norco, and they don't come close to the security and excellent customer service available here. read more

I've been a customer for over two years and this place was fantastic until it was sold last autumn and the new owners replaced Dawn with their team. Dawn kept it immaculate and kept an eye on anyone entering she didn't recognize and followed them to ascertain their business there. It now resembles a old west ghost town replete with the requisite tumbleweeds. They shortened the gate hours which were nothing special in the first place which is really difficult on some. They don't keep on the customers that leave a mess behind just slackers. I think we as customers deserve the facility to be navigable and the dirt and dust removed from the door area so my belongings aren't dust choked when I open it read more
