Storage Now is a superior, warm and friendly, yet professional and efficient 'mom and pop' establishment, located at the SW intersection of McDonald Dr and Granite Reef Rd in Scottsdale (85250). A place where they know you by name, their outstanding ethics continually amaze me, topping each impressive gesture from the one before. Aside from the daily access hours being a little shorter than what I'm used to (closing at 6pm), it has yet to pose a problem for me these past 18 mo. The property is lifelike in size, as opposed to the burdening infinitive mass, demanded by many corporate facilities (you can actually find your way / walk out without a shuttle service to transport you!). Security is solid, with no fear of being alone in there... a feeling of vulnerability I've sensed inside other facilities. Further, the property is always so clean... one could virtually eat off the floors if it came to that. :) But the real element setting them apart from countless competitors, is in their customer service implementation. I can't imagine anything qualifying me as more special than the next patron, so I presume an equality of their divine treatment, among all. In all brutal humility, I share an actual example: My husband left town abruptly, on a long, state-paid vacation, leaving behind a series of unfinished business involving ALL my Aunt's belongings; The two had arranged for him to pack it all and store it, while a job transfer relocated her across the country practically overnight; Problem was, the unit leased containing her whole world, was a bound contract in his name; This was a feat in legal transfer without his written consent, but Heather Planellas, site manager, completely absolved / resolved this issue with the smoothest of transitions, thanks to her expertise of knowledge in proceedings of this nature. And that's just one of many examples in her extended courtesy... her persistence in excellence was the inspiration of this well-deserved review. I've been a tenant of Storage Now for 15 years or more & have seen at least 4 management teams come & go. I've had little complaint. The current team are approachable, friendly, love to chat and go out of their way to help a customer in any way they can. If one is having financial issues, they will work with them. Manager Heather knows her stuff & the storage business like the back of her hand. The people there love their work & reach out to others at the holidays. The holiday decorations add to the ambience. The place is climate controlled, so one can feel comfortable working inside a unit no matter the season. Most items can be stored safely without harm. Pricing is reasonable compared to other places and sites are valleywide, so one should be able to find a site close to them. Good reviews are the result of the promise of a second month of half price rent so don't be fooled by all the 5 star ratings. My actual experience was horrible. I called a week before my move from IL and I was told by the manager that I was all set. The day my movers arrived I was told I didn't have a reservation and then the manager left the office early and I was told to call her immediately for my access code. I called several times, however, I only reached the fax number and the national 800 number. I had to scramble and find another storage facility. So, for those of you moving from a distance, I'd recommend using another facility!! read more

Heather and her staff ae the friendliest people...moving is hard enough as it is, and their attitude and helpfulness made it a little less stressful. The place is always spick-and-span, in addition to bright and well lite. Initially chose them due to their location just down the street from where I lived, though was unsure about not being able to drive up directly to an individual storage unit, but later came to value the fact it has only one main entrance, surrounded by cameras and thus is the most secure place possible! This is a great storage place the only issue I have is that it closes at 6 PM which makes it inconvenient for me if I need extra time to either access it or whatever. The staff has always been super friendly which is definitely important especially nowadays and particular Serina and Anita I have always been helpful and I admire the integrity that is transparent. Came into this location for the first time today and needed a unit quick for a spur of the moment move. I was amazed at the customer service that was provided by Serina the property manager! I have to admit I am extremely indecisive, and she took the time to walk me to each unit and show me all my options and price ranges. I have used Storage Now on different occasions since the 90's. Always very friendly, most helpful, very secure and immaculate (no bugs or critters). The air is nice and cool inside to help protect your belongings. I would give them an A+ as a business in all categories. So if your looking for a place to store your things you have now found it!. I chose this storage place because it was fully enclosed, meaning, I didn't have to park next to a garage door in the hot sun to load/unload. Parking is ample and convenient. The unit I rented was in the basement storage area. Very clean throughout and a roomy elevator and lots of different types of dollies and carts to chose from. The units are well maintained and have all the necessary equipment available to load and unload your possessions. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and always willing to help with any questions. Rental rates have just increased 8% which seems a bit much but hopefully they will remain stable for a few years. I think renters should get a reduction or discount if they pay their rent on time for a full year. read more

I have been at this storage facility for about 16 years, and the reason is customer service. The manager(s) at this facility have always been the best of the best. Heather who manages the facility now is so kind. I was reorganizing things in my unit and she was worried I was dehydrated and brought me a bottle of water. The company I work for had two storage units and due to drop in business we had to cut expenses. Storage now, gave us the opportunity to empty one out at the end of April without the proper 30 day notice for no further charge and not only that she lent us two carts that made our removal so much easier.
