[Review #826] 2024-025…read more What's Bidrl (pronounced bid-r-l)? Bidrl.com is an online auction marketplace that doesn't ship to ensure all generated sales are contained within specific geographic areas. It's a liquidation business model that combines the power of online sales with the excitement of competitive bidding, & the stability of the local market. They take hard assets (stuff) from big box retailers & liquidate them (convert them into cash by selling them). There's a few caveats... BidRL doesn't take item responsibility, nor do they test them; doesn't accept returns, exchanges, or offer refunds. And if you don't take the time for personal inspection, assume item is broken unless description states otherwise. Yikes! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Wait there's more... a strictly enforced policy of unpaid items or items not picked up within the deadlines are considered abandoned & will be relisted without a refund if payment has been made. To receive an extension, the buyer needs to send an email to: fresno@bidrl.com prior to the deadline; verbal requests for extensions are not accepted. Their website offers a "BID WITH CARE": Auction items may be overstocks or returns, new or used, perfect or broken. They share what they know about each item in pictures, titles or descriptions; however, they don't always know, don't test most items, & don't accept returns, exchanges or offer refunds. If the potential buyer doesn't previewed an item (physically inspected it in person), then they must make an assumption about that item before bidding, which is to assume it's broken unless the description states otherwise; that item is probably fine, but it is always better to be safe than sorry. Sounds like Bidrl does nothing but collect your $$ & wait for you to pick-up the item... absolutely no customer service for any product issues that you may have before, during, or after. With all that risk, my relatives still thinks it's worth the trouble. Sometimes they bid without inspecting the item because they're too far away from this location, or will ask a family member to inspect the item on their behalf. My nephew recently got 2 great deals (in terms of price)... a soft serve ice cream maker (haven't opened & tested for functionality) & a LG dishwasher. The dishwasher was picked up on the day after Thanksgiving & my cousin's husband installed it right after. It took a couple of hours, & purrs like a dream; however, I noticed a sizable dent on the bottom left corner, & J says that it happens with Bidrl auction items, was aware of the dent & believes it's cosmetic. As for cleaning the dishes, glassware, & other contents, I have no idea because we had to head home. I'll have to find out about the ice cream maker on my next visit. Bidrl.com is a franchise opportunity with 15 locations, & more being added but none in S. CA, only in the Bay Area & Central CA. I browsed their listings that found some interesting things, but would have to bug my relatives for an inspection prior to bidding; still debating if it's worth the hassle & efforts. Docking stars for lack of "customer service" & assumed risks to the buyer/customer.

WOW is all we can say. Carrie and August were fantastic. We hired Treasures to Find to do a living…read moreestate sale (which several companies will not do) because we needed to de-clutter so we could list our house for sale. That gave them challenges as far as which rooms were open and which items were not to be sold. Worse, the week of the sale, AT&T decided to drill for fiber and close all street parking on our street! But Carrie and co. pivoted to a Sat-Sun sale instead of Fri-Sat with no problem. It took them several days to sort through, set up and price everything. We were not to be there the days of the sale and had to be out of the way during setup so we just went out of town for the week--that's how trustworthy Treasures to Find is! Nothing was stolen or broken. Carrie communicated with us most of the way so we were in the know. Even better, for a fee, they removed everything that wasn't sold after the sale so we came home to a nice empty place. Only downside/suggestions for improvement would be better retention of communications--we had to reiterate our wishes and specifics several times--totally understandable due to their having multiple sales going on simultaneously, but it would be good to write all that down so nothing is forgotten. (Only a couple items were sold that we didn't want sold, but the really important stuff was not, and that's what mattered.) Make sure you make your wishes clear and ask as many questions up front. Marketing was GREAT. They generated a lot of pre-interest via their website, Facebook and elsewhere. And when all was over, what a pleasant surprise! Gross sales and net profits were about 5x what we expected, even with their commission! Carrie and August were nicely surprised as well. We give Treasures to Find our highest recommendation!

I had an extremely upsetting and unprofessional experience at the Amazing Grace Estate Sales event…read moretoday at Independence Drive, Tracy. I attended the sale specifically because of items advertised in the online photos. While there, I selected a lamp that was clearly displayed for sale and pictured multiple times in the estate sale listing online. The estate sale manager Alex even helped me unplug the lamp and remove it from the room, which made it very clear that the item was available and that I was purchasing it. I took of the tag as they instruct you to when claiming an item (also listed on their website). After carrying the lamp and going to the checkout area to pay, a man who had been following me around the house approached me and suddenly said the lamp was "no longer for sale." When I asked why, he said "the owner wants to keep it." What makes this worse is that the staff identified this man as a staff member, yet he is also related to the owner and not the executor of the trust. Despite that, he took it upon himself to override the sale after I had already selected the item, removed it from the room with the manager's help, and filling out my payment info. Alex later explained that three siblings were calling and arguing over items, even though the estate sale contract had already been signed. Customers should never be put in the middle of family disputes during an estate sale. If items are not actually for sale, they should not be photographed, advertised online, and left out on the floor, and staff certainly should not help customers remove them only to have another "staff member" take them away at checkout. This was incredibly frustrating and honestly embarrassing as a customer who was simply trying to purchase an item that was clearly presented as part of the sale. Alex did say he would contact the owner and try to make the situation right, so I'm waiting to see if they follow through. If they do resolve the situation appropriately, I'm willing to update or remove this review. But based on today's experience, the sale felt chaotic, poorly managed, and unfair to customers who showed up expecting advertised items to actually be available for purchase.

I like the organization of the store, as well as the space, so you're not tripping over things. The problem I have with this Goodwill is the staff. Every visit I've either been treated rudely or witnessed another customer being treated rudely. One time I was perusing a rack of men's clothes, when a clerk comes up behind me and loudly tells me I'm not allowed to shop off the rack. How would I know this? There were no signs or anything to indicate it was any different from the other racks. Could she have let me know nicely? I'm sure she could have, but enjoyed her moment of power. The kicker? Two minutes later the clerk was putting those same clothes on the racks I was allowed to shop. Another time, a clerk was very insistent and short with a woman trying to pay at one register, that she bring her purchases around to the other register. The last person was rung up where this lady was, but suddenly she had to pack her stuff up and move it around. It would have been nice if the young man offered to help her move her purchases, but he stood there, waiting. I'll still go back, but I wish management would instill the importance of great customer service to the crew.

I have been a regular donor to this Goodwill location for several years, contributing clothing,…read morefurniture, miscellaneous glassware, and other like-new items because I believed in the goodness and integrity of the Goodwill name. But something that recently happened to me there has me very upset. Shortly before closing I went into the store to quickly look for an item and right away I heard the announcement that the store would be closing in five minutes. I looked around and saw no other shoppers so I took my purse from the cart and left. Unfortunately my wallet accidentally slipped out of my purse and stayed in the cart. A few minutes after I left I realized my wallet was missing and immediately went back. The doors were already locked, but after my knocking, two employees, 1 male, 1 female, came to the door. I told them through the door that a few minutes ago I accidentally left my wallet in the cart I had been using and asked if they could please check it. They glanced briefly on the floor but did not check the cart, even though I said that I had just been there. The female employee told me through the locked doors that I had to come back the next day. I explained I'm from out of town, I was just leaving and wouldn't be in town the next day but she still wouldn't look for my wallet which I knew was in the last cart on the cart stand and she was standing right next to it. With no other choice I went back the next morning and the same employee (later identified as "Katie") that was talking to me through the door the night before, was unlocking the doors and opening up. She told me she found my wallet which had been put in the back safe. A manager with red hair then returned it to me. When I got to my car and looked inside I discovered that $160+ in cash was missing. I went back in the store and spoke to "Katie", who said she had opened my wallet "to see if it was something for sale." She showed no concern about the missing cash. The manager "Jennifer" was right there and did not address the issue. This situation is very upsetting, especially because I had returned within minutes the night before and that my wallet had been in employee possession. As the last customer in the store before closing, I believe my wallet was handled solely by store staff. To the employee who said she found my wallet: That money was for my six-year-old granddaughter's birthday gift that I promised her. The next day on her birthday she was in tears, she had her heart set on it. After years of supporting and donating to this store, I never thought something like this would happen. Because this situation involves missing cash while my property was in the possession of store employees, I expect to be contacted regarding the reimbursement of the missing cash, exactly $162. Also for documentation purposes I have filed a police information report regarding the missing cash. Store location 3000 N Tegner Rd, Turlock, CA 95380 Manager's name "Jennifer" Employee's name who admitted finding my wallet "Katie" This store deserves "0" stars!!
