They do serve lunch to 2pm. We were here to have lunch and then take pictures at their lavender farm. Hopping to catch some blooming lavender. Sadly, it was mostly a green garden w not much blooming lavender. There were a few other flowers blooming tho. Upon arrival.... Pros 1) plenty of parking. 2) location was plain but pretty and clean. 3) they had like 4 to 8 tables on the front by the parking area where you walk in. I saw a few people eating there. 4) they had a beautiful wooden table in the back on the grassy area with 6 chairs around it. That's where we sat for lunch. Our reservation was at 12pm. We got seated right away. Today was perfect to eat outside. There is no indoor seating or a restaurant here. I didn't see any. 5) there is a gift shop. But we didn't make it to see the inside 6) they serve salads and sandwiches here for lunch. Very simple and short menu. Their soup of the day today was tomato bisque. 7) our sandwiches and salads tasted fine. But salads are large portions. I could have shared my chicken salad with another. Sandwiches are normal size. Enough for one person. 8) Drinks were ok. Water tasted good. No funky or metal taste to it. 9) two porter potty bathroom but clean. Not the typical blue porter potties at putdoor events. A little nicer and it flushes. 10) our server was very nice. Cons 1) it took a long time to get our meals once we ordered. We were seated at 12pm. But we didn't get our salads and sandwiches till like an hourish later. By the time our foods came out, we sat to catch up and eat, and celebrate a bday, it was like 1:45ish already. Gift shop closes at 2pm. 2) our young server seems like she's still in training. But she was good. Wish they check on their customers more often. But maybe she was the only one taking orders. I don't know. 3) Conclusion This location was nice. Clean. Pretty. There wasn't any lavender blooming when we were there. But I heard it's a hit and miss to catch it in bloom too get beautiful pictures. It's ok though. We found other areas to get nice photos in. Foods were ok. Meh. But salads looked pretty and in large portions. Chicken on the salads were perfectly made. It was juicy and not dry. Each of our plates were $18. There is a small drinks menu. With both their menus being short, it made it so much easier to order something. Love that no one rushed us out after 2pm. We were allow to take our time on the area to take photos. They were setting up for a 4pm wedding. Not to bad here.

I was planning on having my…read morewedding here but the girl who is the "wedding expert" knew no answers to the simplest of questions.. What is your average alcohol beverage price? Menu options? (All she could say is we have an amazing chef) .... Okay??? Can you elaborate on what type of food etc? Not just your opinion on the food. I asked her to send me the bar options not once, or twice but three times (phone calls and emails) I called a couple of times to get information and never got a call back... so finally I decided to book with another venue. I can understand if you're busy or something but can you imagine booking with this person, and then being stuck with her! She won't even help with the easiest of tasks... Imagine on your wedding day!! My advice pay a little more and go with an actual wedding venue. The receptionist gave me more info than the wedding specialist/planner or whatever she calls herself... SAD. Also fyi, ceremonies can only be prior to their restaurant side opening. *No you can't bring your own alcohol. *No you can't bring your own caterer. *$20 for a Gallo bottle of wine that costs like $6 at a store. Or You CAN Bring your own champagne.. But subject to a $12 corkage fee (per bottle) Average beer bottle is $5 Average price is about 20+ per person for food (buffet style) Add $3 per person if you want the food to be served. Nice venue, just needs a little work on their booking and customer service. if you can look past the "what ifs" on the most important day of your life maybe give them a chance. I was too worried on how it might turn out on my big day.

It is not an actual restaurant but they are open for lunch and provide great catering services. The Tri-tip sandwich was full of flavor and the serving was very generous. The prices can be a bit steep but you do get what you pay for. My former company conducted their monthly meetings here and every time, the service we were provided was outstanding. The wall street room is nicely decorated and the brick decor is very cool. They have recently added a garden area for weddings. Sure, some people may consider a place with a nicer view but I have to give these guys a lot of credit for sprucing up the place.

And let me say, it was the most fun I've had, especially moving to the town and not knowing much it was nice to get out the house and socialize. Since then, I've signed up for other workshops. I truly love this place, they also do private events and I'm thinking of celebrating my partner's birthday here in the summer. Can't recommend it enough!! The guys running the booth got mad cuz a lil girl won a stuffed toyS i heard them speaking in spanish getting all upset cuz a lil girl won a bit stuffed animal. That just put a bad taste in my mouth. To see one of my favorite R&B bands perform, Con Funk Shun who originate from my hometown of Vallejo. $15 bucks entry fee for the fair + the concert was the deal of the century! Overall, this fair could really teach all the other fairs up & down the state something about value. A return to value before most all other fairs started gettin' all greedy & trying to rip everyone off it seems (Alameda Co. Fair, Marin Co. Fair, Solano Co. Fair, CA State Fair are you listening?). OK duh, it gets hot here in Turlock during the summer (peaking @ 102 this day), like at some of those other summertime fairs I mentioned. But, this fair has quite a few cooling stations & devices throughout the fair to keep you comfortable. Such as oversized misting fans in the foodcourt areas and air conditioning & fans in the other buildings. It also can get a bit dusty out here amid all these farmlands. A face mask might be helpful for some, idk? Fair looks small and rather underwhelming from the Archway main entrance & ticketing area, but don't be fooled, as there's quite a bit to see inside. Combined tons of booths & food vendors and a respectable amount of traditional rides. And with very decent prices all things considered. Great fair for kids too with a lot for them. $10 bucks to park, which ain't bad at all, but--even better-- Turlock transit buses were free for the week with free parking & shuttle accommodations from nearby Stanislaus State Univ. Throw out all those stereotypes you might've had about Turlock and similar nearby farming towns. It's really a charming + modern area as was exemplified by this great county fair. Will def. be on my list to return next year. Good time!

The owners were incredibly supportive--reliable, responsive, and followed through on every promise. One of the things we appreciated most was their flexibility. Unlike many venues that require you to use their preferred vendors for catering, bartending, or florals, August Meadows gave us the freedom to choose our own. That made a huge difference in creating a day that felt personal and unique. We also opted to have them handle the cleanup the following morning, and it was absolutely worth the extra cost--stress-free and seamless. The location itself is secluded and offers a wonderful sense of privacy. I highly recommend visiting in person to ensure it aligns with your expectations. As a small heads-up: the parking area is unpaved, and there's a bit of gravel to walk through, which posed a slight challenge for a few guests in high heels. Also, having a microwave in the clubhouse would be a nice addition. Other than that, our experience was outstanding. I would wholeheartedly recommend August Meadows to anyone looking for a beautiful, flexible, and well-managed venue.
