Both times I've been here same two guys working both very friendly and work hard to get you the items you won. I recently won a massage chair that was sealed and paid 1/3 of the retail price and it works perfectly. Info they posted about chair was very helpful and accurate. Recently they have been posting boxes full of packaged food and candy. I bought two boxes full of gum and candy and it would be really nice if they took a few pics of the expiration date. My two boxes had about 20 different items and could have took pics of the items still in code there were 3 types of candy that were. Most boxes only have 1 or a few items and for those seeing that date would be very helpful. I'm guessing almost everything the code has expired but still nice to know if it expired last month or 3 yrs ago.

There are several BidRL locations in the Sacramento area but this is the one I frequent the most. I first heard about BidRL many years ago when picking up an outdoor umbrella stand from a seller on Facebook Marketplace. I commented to her that I saw a lot of the same umbrella stands for sale by several other sellers. She nodded knowingly and then said, "BidRL." I remember taking a peek at the website at the time but being too busy to shop/scroll. Fast forward many years later and I've come to discover (here's a secret, Yelpers!) that you can save tons of money shopping on BidRL. (You only come to this location after you've won the item auction). There are no returns so bid carefully. I'm pretty amazed at how much some items are bid up to (like Dyson vacuums, robot vacuums, appliances, etc) because I wouldn't want to risk a huge amount of money on the item, but perhaps those bidders have come to the location, previewed the item to make sure it works, and then bid. Basically they're a liquidation company that gets pallets of Amazon, Costco, Target and other company's returns or discontinued items. You know when you buy something at Amazon, Target or Costco and then change your mind and return it? The store doesn't put it back on the shelf--they just liquidate it and send it to companies like this to do as they please with it. Some of their stock goes to BidRL (online bidding), some go to their That's Cheap stores and some go to their Falling Prices stores (which are awesome also, but just super crowded). I'm not sure how they decide which items go where but sometimes I'll see the same items at BidRL and Falling Prices. Sometimes the items are brand new and sealed. Sometimes they're opened like a pack of socks and missing a pair. Sometimes it'll be a piece of furniture that the customer returns because one piece of wood has a dent. You never know. But this location is pretty good at taking photos of multiple angles and disclosing potential flaws (that they notice at a cursory glance, since they don't spend too long on each item). You'll notice some items on their website say "Pieces may be missing!" I like the fair warning. :) But if you get the item at a low price, often you can get replacement pieces at your local Home Depot or Lowe's. They are closed Sunday and Monday and have strict rules about picking up items before deadlines. Over the last few years, I've gotten some really nice items, and also some broken items. Fortunately I don't pay a lot for each item, so I don't feel so bad if I just have to toss it. My in-laws just moved into a new house and I was able to furnish a couple bedrooms with brand new items I got on BidRL. They were pretty amazed at the prices!

While we had decided that we wouldn't hold an in-person event, we wanted to do something. We got connected with PAC and learned about what could be done virtually, what they would need from us, and we pulled off a well-attended virtual celebration and fundraiser. Not only did they have the expertise to pull off a successful virtual event, but the staff also did an extraordinary amount of the heavy lifting to make sure that everything went off without a hitch including registration, reminders, and auction items. Surprisingly, we ended up not only having a meaningful event for our members and friends, we ended up raising double what we normally do at our annual in-person event. PAC did an awesome job for our non-profit!

Hiring Pacific Auction Company was the best decision we could have made. Steve Godfryd and his team were extremely friendly, super organized, listened to our needs, and brought a wide variety of items to our auction, including many "maritime related" items that fit our audience. The set up was accomplished swiftly, the bidding and check out processes were a breeze, and our auctioneer, David Sobon, raised more for us in our fund-a-need than ever before. I am so glad we made the decision to hire Pacific Auction Company.
