Revising my review to 2 stars because of the Public Storage CORPORATE policy of "bait and switch",…read moreas someone else mentioned. They give you a low rate to get you in the door, then raise the rate paid significantly (33%). In other words, you do the work of getting your stuff moved in, paying others to help, and then a couple months later, they want to charge you more. The employees I've worked with at this location are good people - but they have no control over the corporate policy.

This happened this past year to two other people I know. Not just for this location. Public Storage waits until you get settled in and raises the rate, for me by 33%. In one case within only 4 months. Time to find a different company that will not do a bait-and-switch. They never said my rate was an introductory rate or anything like that. They still offer the same low rate, or lower, online for the same locker. They are losing my long-term business. I see several of the same complaint here.

I moved…read moreand needed to relocate to the facility in Inver Grove Heights and was there for about 2 years without any issues. I got to know the staff and the district manager who was always there helping staff. Under his direction, the staff was respectful, the property was well maintained and I felt as if my property was safe there. Recently, a new district manager took over the property and under his direction I have noticed the facility has gone downhill including the office staff. I work nights and the previous manager was very understanding and gave me access after hours (this is not something the company typically offers but was given to me as a courtesy). I had been using my after hours access for years without an issue and the staff there knew I was there after hours. Never heard a peep. Suddenly, this year, I went in after hours as I always do (Access logs could have been seen on my account) I get a SCORNING phone call from, we'll just call him PM to protect his identity, one of their newer property managers. I was treated like a 12 year old getting scolded. I was told that he had see that I was in after hours and this was a DIRECT violation of my terms of use and the next offense would result in account restriction and the third offense would terminate my rental contract. Needless to say, I was appalled at the way I was treated. I went directly to the office and spoke with PM myself. I told him if he had simply asked why I was there after hours, seeing if I just lost the time, had issues, etc. I would have been able to inform him why. If the new property manager was not okay with me being there after hours, I would adjust. He apologized for the voicemail and said he would be happy to get my access back but then proceeded to justify his behavior by saying he's been in customer service for 16 years and sometimes you just have to talk to people that way. He also told me that the company makes him say certain things that aren't in the best interest of the customer. Both of these excuses are absolutely APPALLING to me. I asked to talk to the new district manager and was told he was on vacation but would send an email to call me. I called corporate and they said they would send an email as well. Almost 3 weeks later, I have heard NOTHING. So needless to say, I have been quietly moving my stuff out of my 2 10x30 units because the way things were going, I didn't trust that "something" would come up with my unit that they would try to secure it. Aside from that, the prices have also gotten horrendous. I was paying upwards of $650 for these two units and found another company in which I have a single unit that has more space than both of these units combined for a better price AND has 24 hours access available to any customers for $100 bucks less! As for this property, it used to be great, well maintained, if something broke, it was fixed quickly and it was clean. Now, there is constantly trash laying around and the climate control has seemingly been shut off because the indoor units were constantly so hot I was sweating in the summer months. Fences have fallen, ramps for trucks have gotten stuck leaving gates open, etc. My suggestion, do your homework, talk to your managers and make sure there are notes for EVERYTHING in your account if you have special privileges...

I moved into this unit end of May 2025. I was told no rent increase for "12 months" TWICE in…read morewriting and verbally to get the unit rented. It's also highlighted on the website. This was only used as a sales tactic to get us to move into the unit. I signed the agreement on May 17th and by June 2, 2025 before I had even moved my belongings in the owner was telling me that my rent was going to increase by 100% so double the rent. I was then told that I'm getting a good deal and I can't find that anywhere else. Because I save every interaction I was able to show them the texts I received that contradicted this. Today October 27th 2025 I received a letter stating they are working towards no increase for 12 months and my rent is increasing by 100%. Double the rent again. While the facility is new, the bathrooms are almost always clean and it is climate controlled. There's no way to justify this kind of an increase and this often. What's more concerning is how many times they've tried to go back on their word despite being in writing in less than 6 months. For the people who don't have time and energy into making sure that this place holds true to their word on what they sell you to sign they should steer clear. We invested a lot of money into moving our belongings to this unit and have been sold on something that I've had to fight the entire duration.

Has dollies and carts for use. No additional locks or equipment needed. On-site bathroom. Had a snafu with my card still being charged after I moved out but Jeff had it resolved and my card credited within 12 hours of notifying him. Definitely would use again if needed.

No one answered phone calls, and employee was late showing up for work. Uhaul was no help either on the phone. Pretty bad experience The lady had us open an electrical panel and manually flip the reset switch around a bunch of wires. No discount on uhaul even though the time was wasted.
