The reason I'm giving them two stars is because my stuff mostly ended up in my new place minus one…read moreitem that was broken during the move. There were a few things that were not great about this move and collectively makes me not recommend them. 1) They were an hour late and didn't call. I had to call them to see if they were still coming. 2) They brought to small of a truck and seem to think that I had too much stuff for a one bedroom. We had to take two trips and they try to charge me for the exccess time on the highway plus their members breaks. When I brought it up the mover said "oh yeah I forgot." I heard this quite a lot later. 3) I was quoted 3 to 5 hours in email for my job. They tried to charge me for 9, including the above. When I brought up that I was quoted 3-5 hours they told me they would have never quoted me that even though it was provided to me in writing. I told them how much furniture and clothing I had when I called to quote so it shouldn't have been a surprise for this or the truck size. 4) My bathroom cabinet was broken in the move. I didn't love it so I wasn't sad about it. The mover said that I would get reimbursed for this. He, again, forgot when I initially got the total at the end of the move and I had to remind them a couple times to ensure I got reimbursed. I did eventually get reimbursed for it. 5) I asked the movers, as I was leaving my apartment, to meet them at the house if they wanted me to stay until they had packed everything up. They said no, that I could go ahead and they would meet me down at my house. When I came back to the apartment later that night they actually left a headboard and footboard in the hallway that didn't make it on the truck. Again he said he "forgot" the item in the hallway. When I called the next day they did send the same movers out to pick it up and were going to coordinate with me to drop it off later that day. No one ever called and I had to call them the coordinate for delivery the following day. If this place could get it together it could be decent but for now I wouldn't recommend them.

They threw away the remote for the adjustable bed and the dvd player, as well as all the keys and garage door opener that were on the counter for the new owners. I guess I forgotten they were there. But they got rid of everything except the furniture as I asked and they were friendly and hard workers. Definitely give them a call if you need any junk removed. To be clear the new owners wanted the furniture left otherwise I believe they would have taken care of that too.

This is my second spring using Junk masters for a project. They were AMAZING while facilitating our move this summer. They were quick to respond, answered all of our questions, gave us a fair quote, showed up on time (early!), and were very friendly. Our movers were careful and efficient. We had 4 movers, but one of them got lost somehow on the way to our new house and we ended up with only 3 movers for most of the time. It was no big deal, they still finished under time and only charged us for the 3 movers instead of 4. The guys were respectful about taking their shoes off on carpet and being careful around walls / doors / corners. None of our belongings were damaged. The other amazing thing is they were able to reschedule our move last minute when both my husband and I came down with COVID 2 days before our move (and I was 30 weeks pregnant). We were extremely sick and I was panicking about trying to make the move happen, but luckily Mint had a time slot open up the following week and they changed our reservation, no problem.
