When I arrived at the location on Franklin, can't miss it, Michael who was managing the front desk area was personable and genuine. He was dressed professionally and we joked about my last name especially since it was the same as the day that I was picking up. He went through all the details and I what I liked the most was highlighting all the important details like the QR code for roadside assistance, how much to fill up for gas and when to return it. I got the keys and matched the ID number on the keys to the back of the truck. It was very cleaned and the A/C worked like a Polar Bear's dream. We got a couple of bins Friday night and then the bulk of the moving the following day. We closed out the storage space at the space facility, dropped off the rest of the bins, put some gas in the truck and retuned back to the facility. The team upon the return were efficient and genuine. I was shown what the total was going to be and was immediately emailed with a receipt. Overall, the experience was great, hassle free and fair-priced. Thanks U-Haul Team.

When I booked my installation app on the 28th for the 30 at the Overland location, all was good…read moreuntil the 30th around 1012 I missed a call saying it was double booked. It took 3 or 4 calls to get the same person at the U-Haul location on the phone. I opted to get it done at a different (1030 W Franklin) location. I was told I'd be transferred and then hung up on. I had to call back to get details. I called to make sure and was told i could show up at 11 or 1130 if wanted. I show up at 1145, but the installer is at lunch. He didn't bring my vehicle into work on it until 1220. The staff was very friendly, and I was even given a discount for the weight and the issues. For some reason, they only have one installer and he didn't seem to care that he went to lunch and didn't tell anyone anything and just didn't show up until I'm guessing someone contacted him. I appreciate everyone at the Overland U-Haul except for the dude that's apparently the only one that does installs and I'll definitely be the last time that I go that route. Quite beyond not worth it. Also, he zip tied the wiring closest to the connector onto my tow hitch, so there's absolutely no room to pull the connector anywhere so now I have to look under and see how much slack there is if any and cut the zip tie so that there's at least some give. This dude has apparently been doing installs for like 25 years yet he zip ties the wiring so that the connector is basically touching the tow hitch. The only way I could be less happy with the outcome of this is if the installation didn't happen and I had to reschedule again. Again, Amanda, Abigale and Damien and the other gentleman that works there were awesome. Just not the installer. I really hope that he either get spoken to or reprimanded or even fired so that nothing like this happens to someone else.

The next morning Jamie from facility contacted me, commenting on the great price and encouraged me to stop in to take a look. Super clean unit. The location is convenient. I asked her if the flash sale was bait/switch and she gave me helpful background information. A few dates later, after shopping around, I attempted to complete the reservation online. Because there were glitches, I talked with Rhonda from corporate who tried multiple solutions. Finally, she realized the glitch was due to 3rd party site. She suggested I go in person to complete paperwork. I wasn't even mad about the errand because she had put so much effort into problem-solving for me. When I went to facility to complete transaction, I dealt with Andrew. He was super professional and determined to help me get the originally quoted price in spite of the glitch. He figured out a work-around and even "compensated" me for the online hassles. After dealing with three different employees w customer-service mindset in 2025, I had no choice but to write a review. It's a rarity post-COVID for 3 employees to go over and above!

We contracted with PODS to deliver two containers to our home in Boise from CA. They were delivered…read moreby two separate drivers. One of the drivers was not able to open the roll up PODS container door and told us he was taking the container to the office in Boise and for us to contact them in the morning. We drove there the next day to find the office closed but after banging on the window, one of the staff members opened the locked door and helped us. He found out that our second container was delivered to the Caldwell office 40-min away. He told us the driver that had dropped the second POD off was new and didn't understand how to get the door opened. When we arrived at the Caldwell office they told us the same and immediately opened the door. We had to call the 800# to reschedule delivery which took 10 more days. We asked PODS to consider waiving the delivery fee of $189 and were told they'd consider it once the second POD was re-delivered. But of course today we received an email from them stating they didn't breach their contractual agreement and they delivered the second POD; end of story. We don't agree with this assessment, however, aren't going to let a $189 fee go to collections although we'd win in small claims court if we went this route. We're just sorry they're too big an outfit and have too much business to be considerate of the error they made.

We had confirmed our pick up time 3 times to be June 24th and the day of, they moved it two weeks out to July 9th. Very disappointing experience and has made this move difficult. Please read other reviews, we wish we researched better and used local.
