This was my first time using U-Pack and I can tell you they were absolutely wonderful! Previously I had used a competitors company that move and they were almost double the price I paid at U-Pack! I did not have a single issue with U-Pack. They called me about an hour (like they said they would) before their arrival to drop the trailer off. I loaded it in 2 days and called for pickup. They were accommodating from the word go ! I kept having to change the delivery date and they were always more than happy to work with me. Always professional, happy, knowledgeable. One star is generous! They do not deliver on their stated delivery date. I just got a call from the mover who is going to deliver and unload them tomorrow, and again access to my boxes they will be delayed because someone called in sick. They misrepresent the capacity of each U box and when you realize you need more then they put off your delivery date without informing you of that fact.. U-Haul is great, although, I would give U-boxes a sub zero review if I could do so. From start to finish the entire experience was inadequate to say the lest. We were so anxious about this move. Everything from booking, to customer service, to pick up and delivery was smooth and simple. I probably spoke to 6 different people and every single one was patient and friendly. Very accommodating. Clear and concise communications. No hidden charges or fees. No surprises. We DID do an extra careful job packing our belongings and created a "net" of nylon ropes across our stacks of bins and boxes. Thank goodness, because a couple bins cracked and caused a collapse. But our very fancy bathtub made it unscathed!! Highly recommend UPACK/ABF freight. You only pay for what you use, too. read more

I cannot say enough about how great our experience was with ABF/UPack. We got our trailer and later than expected by a few hours, but that was literally the only hiccup in the process. We got the trailer loaded and called them on Friday night. Trailer was picked up the following Monday and delivered 9 days later. We unloaded and called them today, Friday, for pickup. They actually came TODAY to pick up the trailer. True to their word, there were no ridiculous delays or overcharges. You set the terms with trailer rental by filling what you need and locking with your own lock. The only damage we had was caused by our own over tightening of our tie down ropes. U-Pack did EVERYTHING in the contract they agreed to. Also, they ended up saving me a bit of money. I tried them as their costs were better. "Pods" tried scaring me away from them, didn't work. My stuff went from Boise, ID to Wilmington, NC no problem. I was extremely happy with the end result. U Pack was not the problem. It was the company they contract for loading and unloading. DO NOT USE THEM OUT OF BOISE. The unloaders on the other end were fine. The loaders IMPROPERLY loaded my truck, and 5 employees from this company said the truck was not loaded properly. My dining table was chopped in half, IN HALF, my mother's 100 year old buffet had scrapes out of a leg, precious pictures were lost from a dresser....pictures and notes from when my children were little, my BBQ was broken, and much more. The bean counter from this staffing company told me,"Well you didn't buy the more expensive insurance package," I told her this was not an accident of nature rather an act of gross negligence. She also told me I should have stood there and supervised the load. I was running all over the place trying to keep on eye on the 4 loaders and make sure things were done properly. I couldn't be in 4 places at once. I told this woman that I was a nurse, and if she were ever hospitalized was she supposed to supervise her medical care??? Her excuse was ludicrous. The damage was so blatantly gross negligence. I sent about 20 pictures to U Pack and I don't think they did much because Moving Staffers only refunded me $450.00. I sarcastically said that might buy me 2-3 chairs in a new dining table set. Never heard from U Pack or Moving Staffers again. What breaks my heart the most were the pictures and notes from when my children were little are gone forever. I will have to pay for the lion's share of a new dining set. My desk drawers were even completely bubble wrapped and they managed to spill out papers and documents out of EVERY drawer. How do you do that? Then they randomly stuffed papers back into drawers. I went with U Pack because they were cheaper. Well you get what you pay for. Bekins has moved me twice in my adult life, and not one scratch on anything. They took such good care of my belongings. The loaders were supposed to be trained on proper loading. Do not use this company unless you get your own loaders and unloaders. I had no problem with the unloaders.....they were great, but the damage was done, and both companies are culpable in the fact that I was not reimbursed even close to the damage that was done. Oh and all 8 wardrobe boxes were completely smashed. read more

We used them twice. The only complaint I have is that when our trailer was at the service center they couldn't drop the trailer off next door where we had a storage unit. We had to rent a Uhaul truck to transfer everything. They had multiple trucks and staff that could have just helped us out! read more

My daughter contacted UPack after she tried a number of other moving possibilities out of Nampa ID. She contracted with them before I had a chance to call and get the information but as I was paying for her move, needed to be able to budget the move. As the sale of our home in Nampa was progressing at a fast pace and we thought we'd found a home for her in Missouri where she wished to relocate, my discussion of the costs sounded reasonable and would be within budget. She would have two pods delivered to our house and they would be picked up and stored in Boise until we had a positive address which we felt would be within 30 days. Then several things happened. First, the house failed inspection. When we went over 30 days our account was hit for $700. When I called, thinking it was supposed to be $100 per pod (also an understanding held by my daughter), I was told that the fine print disclosed full storage costs. In this case $350/pod. After we finally found a house (for another $700 storage fee) discovered that the U-Pack people were not door-to-door but whatever they felt was a close hub. In this case, St. Louis MO--80 miles from her new house. Given a date, she had two days to empty the pods! No way could my daughter empty the pods, load a rental truck, drive to her new home and then unload the truck. So then we had to hire a separate moving company who also took advantage of the situation. While ABF did a swift job of moving the pods once given a firm address, we were left at their storage hub in Missouri when we'd understood delivery would be to her NEW door (in this case 80 more miles at an additional separate cost of over $1,400). And still a total of over $3700 for UPack. Would not do business with this company again. read more

I was very satisfied with the timing of getting my boxes here from Idaho to Arkansas... The only thing that I feel is that with the amount of boxes I had ,the price was very expensive... I feel like I paid way too much for this move but I had no options so I went with them... They did a fantastic job... Everything was 100% great... They brought the truck to my house and then they picked it up... It's a wonderful service especially if you've got furniture... The only reason why I rated it four stars is because I personally like I said feel that I had to pay a lot of money for this... they also will bring you the carrier that is attached to the truck and take it to your home so you can load it from your house but unfortunately they did not come to my area which was 2 1/2 hours away... It was a lot of stress trying to get some help to get those boxes to Boise from my house... So on top of the charge pricey cost to deliver to me in Arkansas , I had to spend another $300 to get the boxes to them. It would've been much nicer for me if they would've brought it to my house to load and then take it back to Boise...I would although recommend this company... I am very grateful I had somebody to pack the truck for me and then I had somebody to help me unload the truck... Everybody was very kind... All I had to do was pick up the phone and call them and they helped me to give me the information I needed.. I feel Very blessed to have had them help me with my move. read more

My family and I used a relocube to move from California to Idaho and it was so easy and affordable that I plan to use it again for my future moves. I was hesitant at first and had considered both PODS and UHaul but after reading positive reviews I decided to go with ABF. Its surprisingly more affordable and convenient than the other options out there. They dropped the relocube off at our house, we had a few days to pack it up and used our own locks, then it was picked up and delivered to our new residence within 4 business days. And since it was dropped off at our new place on a Thursday we got the entire weekend to unload it. You can also add a service for them to pack and unload your relocube but we opted out. This company got extra points with me because they were able to get the relocube in our driveway and that is not the easiest task. They go above and beyond for their customers. Everyone I interacted with at the company was really helpful and nice and it was a relief that the whole process was so seamless - considering how stressful moves can be! We used U-Pack for our move from Northwest Washington to the Boise area. We needed more than one trailer and at the loading point, they needed to be in different locations. The ABF office in Washington was very accommodating to this. Our quote for the two trailers was less than two Uhaul or Penske trucks (which we would have had to pay for someone to drive at least one.) The drivers were friendly and professional. We were able to track our trailers online at all times, and received regular emails throughout the process on where our trailers were. Upon arrival in Boise, we were given a phone call to arrange delivery. The ABF office in Boise was very understanding that our delivery location had changed, and we needed our trailers stored for 2 weeks. Once we gave them an address they were delivered on time and picked up on time. We did not use as much space as we had reserved and our rate dropped accordingly. They did not charge us for the 2 weeks of storage, and no extra charges for being a ways out of their normal area. My only issue... if it is one, is that they are not open on the weekends! We could have arranged for delivery three days earlier if so. :) If we ever have to make a long distance move again, I would definitely use them, and recommend them to others! read more

Do not use ABF! If you want to use this company you need to know you will be staying in a hotel, you wont know where your stuff is or when it will be delivered. We were told 3 different appointment times for 3 different days and they didnt make nither of them. They also sub contracted the delivery out and ABF wouldnt help us anymore even though I paid them. I used U-Pack for the first time for a move from Weiser, Idaho to Central Texas. The trailer was delivered on time and the driver worked well with me in determining the drop location, explaining the operating instructions and who to contact to arrange pick up when we were finished loading. I received regular communication and updates from U-Pack between the time the reservation was made and the arranged drop off date, ensuring I had contact information for the originating location and the final destination. The transport went smoothly and my belongings arrived on time and in the same condition as when they were packed! The only negative experience came when they didn't pick up the empty trailer as scheduled, which created a bit of a problem for the storage business where I rented a storage unit until I am able to move into my house. When I was notified by the storage business the morning after it was supposed to be picked up that it was still there, I called the destination company who was to pick it up and was told that the pick up wasn't on the schedule. They did send a truck out late that day to get it picked up, so the problem was rectified in a satisfactory time period. I would use U-Pack again if needed. I got estimates from about 12 different companies and cross referenced with BBB ratings, so I put a lot of research in before choosing ABF. It was the best choice I ever made! We moved almost 3,000 miles and ABF was a quarter of the cost of any othe company I called. They were timely, and I loved that I was able to have the pod to pack at my pace. All my things were in tact and on time. A bonus for me was when I realized we would need help with the bigger furniture, I was able to call and hire 2 helpers who were fantastic!
