The house was sold, mostly emptied, but needed the property completely vacated. The new owners were moving in on Monday. Caseboise was contracted to come out that Saturday morning to clear every remaining item and deliver it to the driveway of the destination. Not even put it inside or organize anything. They had plenty of workers arrive, but they acted like a group of beginner trainees. They seemed unmotivated, with too many of them standing around watching everyone else work, or moving like molasses. Anything that took effort or energy had to be done by me. They loaded approximately half of the items, closed up the truck and we all went to the receiving end. There was additional help to unload at the receiving end. All seemed to go smoothly. We still had time left in our time slot and half of the items still to move. We went to get in our car to go back to the house when the foreman handed us a bill and said, "We're done. We aren't doing any more." We were flabbergasted. They were walking out mid job yet still expecting full payment. They were full of excuses. "It was taking too long." Maybe work with effort and use the entire time slot scheduled rather than leaving early. Multiple hundreds of dollars for Caseboise Moving to not do the work and instead take an extra long lunch break was unconscionable. They had another move booked. Are you planning to also abandon them mid job while demanding full payment? "This wasn't what we expected." We sent your people multiple photos and made sure your company knew what would be required. They had the time. They had the manpower. Instead they committed an abuse of trust, causing financial harm and a huge amount of additional stress and panic. If I could fire Caseboise Moving ahead of time from every scheduled future move they have, I would do it. Do yourself a favor. Don't get stuck half moved on one of the most stressful and hardest working days of your life. This company apparently doesn't care about the harm they are causing when they leave you high and dry. You have a contract and a moving deadline. Don't let Caseboise Moving add to your problems.

What a top notch experience we had when our interior designer had a team from Merchants come to our…read morehome to reposition a heavy area rug and move around furniture too heavy for my husband to do on his own and with me as worthless in that work given I have multiple sclerosis and the ship has sailed for me being able to lift and carry furniture. The two Merchants employees, Dan and Christian, were on time, early even, for the appointment, friendly and professional and clearly "spoke designer" for how they moved things about with her recommendations and directions. They accomplished in roughly 90 minutes what would have been impossible for us in any time frame. They worked efficiently and carefully and that they were such nice men was a bonus too. We've moved 14 times in 42 years so the odds are good that we'll move again. In all those moves the only bad experience we had was with the moving company in Boise, a national brand competitor of Merchants (which is affiliated with national brand Atlas), that did a woeful and careless job and damaged furniture to the tune over a thousand dollars in repairs moving us into a rental and then a year later out of the rental into our new home just five miles away. Based on our experience with Christian and Dan for the work they did for us and our designer last week, when our next move comes up we will use Merchants.
