Stop & Shop - GOLD PEAK, SMART WATER, COCA COLA AND CANADA DRY - Grocery Near Me - Rocky Hill, Connecticut

While this Stop & Shop is always clean, they're always out of things compared to other Stop & Shop locations in the area. It doesn't matter what time of day I go, even if I check beforehand if they have something, they usually don't. read more

Stop & Shop - The hunt for the Pillsbury unicorn cookies continues - Grocery Near Me - Rocky Hill, Connecticut

This location is OK, but they never seem to be stocked with the options I need when I visit (out of the item, or have the item but not the flavor I want). I like that they have a People's Bank location, so that's a plus, and the checkout line moves at a decent rate. The parking lot is a huge drawback for me - it's always busy and seems like drivers sod not pay attention and never stop for customers coming out of the store. read more

There's several workers here who are unvaccinated and don't wear a mask while working in the store and they don't mind saying it out loud to be heard by the shoppers. While I understand it's their choice to get or not vaccinated not wearing a mask while working and especially while serving people is unacceptable. read more

It's my local stop and shop and I think it's fine. Idk what's with the low review score, I expect nothing more than grocery needs to be met. Sometimes things will go out of stock but it's a post Covid economy, low inventory should be expected everywhere. I like my stop and shop. read more

This Super Stop and Shop is in the same shopping plaza as Walmart. I know if I am looking for a specific item that Walmart doesn't carry at the moment, odds are I can find it here. Produce section is decent, deli meat is kinda pricey. While overall prices are still higher than Walmart's, they are much better than those in the Glastonbury Super Stop and Shops I occassionally visit in a pinch. The interior was renovated in the past few years (2, 3 I'm not sure at this point) and it feels like a luxury shopping experience compared to Walmart. As with all of these stores, follow the circulars, find the loss leader products and only purchase those. Also, for best bang for your $, stick to the perimeter of the store. read more

This is a fine Stop & Shop location, with a large parking lot and big selection in the store. They have a decent floral department, a pharmacy, and a bank as well. read more

I have to tell you about my experience today at your store - I was helped by one of your staff in the prepared food area. A young man named Jared was extremely helpful and polite. I was having a hard time locating just what I wanted. I am a Senior and was having difficulty reading the label for the ingredients. He came to our aide and was very kind and patient with us. This is the type of people you need serving your customers. Thank you and Jared. read more

After shopping at Stop and Shop for decades I'll no longer enter one. My brand new car, the first one I've ever ever owned was damaged in that mess of a parking lot by a wind blown shopping cart and Stop and Shop refused to cover the damage. I am in the process of taking them to court. read more

Has apparently stopped stocking eggplants. Been in multiple times recently and there's nothing.

This store is just down the road from where I live so I do stop in when I need something quick. The produce is not as fresh as I would like, nor the meats of the best quality. As I said good if you need some milk, bread or frozen items but the fresh products could be better. read more

Wow, best Stop and Shop ever and possibly best grocery store. I have lived in this area for 8 years now and can tell you that the Rocky Hill Stop and Shop has the best of everything from friendly deli staff to excellent choices of all types of foods. Overall customer service here is excellent. Every time I ask for help somewhere is there to help. The store is clean. The store made food is great. The bakery is awesome. Recently they dropped prices on certain items which was a huge plus. All around best grocery store I have ever been in. read more

Every time I come to this store, the parking lot is a warzone and you're dodging runaway carts and rolling apples. The store itself is understaffed every time I'm there at the cash register and there are lines to encroach half way down the adjacent aisles. There is also an employee in the produce section that ALWAYS starts talking to me about sports and I don't watch sports so I have no idea what he's talking about. I just want my bananas and various delicious fresh produce(which depending on the day this is usually the case) and move along to get in and out as quickly as possible. At the same time though I don't want to be rude(although I am openly writing this sooooooo) so I stay and try to make stuff up that makes me sound like I know sports I.E. field goals, home runs, local sports teams yay... Besides that they carry the usual milks, cheeses, questionably fresh fish, meats, dry stuffs, and other various household needs as you would well expect. The low rating here is simply because of the lack of staff on a Sunday afternoon leading to long long wait lines at the checkout lane. read more

i think this is one of the bigger stop and shops around. pretty clean. crowded at times.

If you are desperate & cannot go elsewhere come here. Store is attractive. Coupons are a joke. If you do not specify the sale item exactly at the deli, you will get the more expensive item. Regarding coupons, if you spend close to $25.00, for example $23.00, no one has the common sense to tell you to pick up a pack of gum. So you could get the coupon price. You need to train your staff to treat the customer respectfully,! So long. See you a lot later. read more

Be careful of their deli cooked items, they are awful. And some of the workers are very rude.

Convenient is the only positive word I have for S&S in R.H., the people do not speak English and there are no staff there from any Latin Countries. The staff, most, are rude and snappy, as if you are troubling them to help you. There are few in the produce area, three guys, any time I ask for something they go out of their way to help. Other then that forget it. The cashiers besides one older lady need training in American manners, thats if we still have any. I hate going into any SS but this one is always dirty on the outside of the store, and inside where the carts are kept is dirty. I have asked for the manager to get the area cleaned in and outside of the store at least twice. The produce as others have mentioned is not the best. The tomatoes are the worst. And the cost of any type of nuts is off the chain. You can grow your own and come out cheaper. The one older lady in the deli section is rude but hey ....one of the cashiers asked me if I had money in the bank to withdraw when I typed in a cash withdrawal. rude..... but their foreigners and perhaps the ppl training them are just as untrained but able to get a job at SS. Big Y staff is rude and unfriendly too, unless you look like them. West Side market on Route 3 near the projects that staff in there is very rude if you do not look like them. So either way you're up against ignorance but if you have a family and you have to shop and live in the vicinity then you're stuck with ..... read more
