Smaller place, cool little German meat market. I was greeted by a very nice young lady who wanted to help me out immediately as I walked in the door. I make the majority of my own Wurst so I'm rather familiar with all their sausages. Still they had many I never heard of or eaten. One of my favorite items was Leberkäse a German sausage loaf in the shape of our meatloaf. Absolutely fantastic! I also picked up course and fine Liverwurst, Weißwurst, Knockwurst, German Bologna and a Keilbasa luncheon meat.......all delicious! If you're looking for German meats that you won't find ANYWHERE else check out Noack's, you won't be disappointed. I know I'll be a regular customer from now on!

We now only order our cakes from there for special occasions. I recently printed a picture off the internet on a plain piece of paper, took it to Big Y bakery and asked, can you put this on the cake? Not only did they get the picture on the cake(edible of course), but the decoration around the photo was absolutely some of the best I've seen. Everyone at work raved about it and asked where the cake was purchased. So you ask, did it taste as good as it looked, and I will tell you that it was delicious. I also love the World Class deli meats. They do not look unappetizing like some of the other deli brands. The turkey is like eating turkey right from your Thanksgiving bird, no exaggeration. I hope they keep the Meriden store open, as I've heard a rumor that it may be closing. Lets hope it is just a rumor because the store is always clean and neat and the shelves are very easy to shop. I really do love shopping at this location and would be very sad if it were to close. Oh, and for those who think it is more expensive than other stores around. I really think it is comparable, plus its in a great location so that you can mail things, go to the gym, do some shoe and clothes shopping, grab a bite to eat, and grocery shop, all in one little area.

And this was not just acceptable to them it's part of the job description.... I never shopped there before I worked there because they had high prices and rotting food for sale, I won't go back after seeing the mismanaged food handling practices. I've been a chef for 25 years, it's the most mismanaged and sloppy kitchen I've been in.
