Nice bright Stop & Shop, located in a business area where there's a Home Depot, a Walmart, a CVS and several fast food restaurants, so it's a busy area. I went to get some firewood and they had some at good prices. They were right outside by the curb, so it was easy to find. I would give a zero if I could. I was at the store 9/15/25at 7:45. I was in line at the check out and there was a customer not happy with the service he was getting. The man left and the cashier at register 1 was complaining to the customer in front of me and to me about the man. I told her "the last thing you do is complain to other customers about another customer ". She continues to complain! I told her to stop, not the thing to do. I called corp to put in a complaint, and they are no better! I told the women what happened, and you could tell, falling on deaf ears. I asked to repeat and she couldn't any of it. I just came here on my 30 minute lunch break to grab a few things. I got what I needed and needed some assistance from the bakery. I waited around for a few minutes but nobody appeared. I asked a stop & shop worker that was walking by how I get a hold of somebody from the bakery and she said she didn't know and was about to go about her business. I had to say do you know where I can find somebody that can help me? After that She directed me to customer service who made an announcement. I went back to the bakery and waited a few more minutes yet nobody came I went back to customer service and she made a phone call and nobody answered. She said hmm and kind of shrugged her shoulders. I left without buying anything and having wasted my time because nobody could help me in the bakery. I would recommend you put up a big sign telling customers the bakery is closed or leave a bell on the counter that says ring for customer service so that the people that work in the bakery no customer is there when they are not watching the counter. Such an easy situation made very difficult. The first stop & shop worker that I asked should have gone in the back and found the bakery worker seeing as we were right outside the bakery instead of walking me all the way across the other side of the building to somebody else that doesn't know how to find the bakery worker either. If you're wearing a stop and shop uniform be prepared for a customers to ask you for assistance when you're walking around. Don't say I don't know and try to walk away because you're basically telling the customer to go ask somebody else and it just took me a few minutes to find you. I'm not sure but let me find somebody that can help you .....works a lot better. Don't make people's lives difficult because you're lazy. If you advertising that your store is open then there should always be somebody in the building that can attend to a customer in any department of the store read more

I like this Stoppy better than the one on Frenchtown. The parking lot is setup better and even the store is smaller and had less of a selection it just flows better. read more

I've always hated this stop and shop, every-time I am there the shopping experience just gets worse. They never have what I need, the shelves are hardly stocked, the organic/gluten free options are horrendous. I was told this is a "test store" and the more I go there and they have less of what I need I tend to believe it. Today, I went at 3:45. We are in the covid pandemic with RI having a mandated executive order. This means masks required. Every other stop and shop has a counter at the door and corporate placed arrows on the floor. There was not an individual at the door counting. The front end manager was not abiding the arrows on the floor since she walked passed me in an aisle the incorrect way and she was not requiring customers to wear masks. She completely turned a blind eye when a customer walked right in front of her maskless and they made eye contact. This is a huge concern. This made me hate the store even more. Shame on her and shame on all the other employees for not saying something. I am all for one for safety and supporting the grocery workers being in the front line in this pandemic but honestly it seems like they don't even care about their own health and are not taking this virus seriously. read more

This stop and shop has been amazing during the pandemic. I get their curbside pickup, and they are always friendly, prompt, and they do a GREAT job choosing replacements when the item I want is out of stock. I am only removing a star because they're not allowed to accept tips! I wish the management would let me give their employees a little something for taking the risk in my place. Curbside really helps protect my family, especially my son and my grandmother, who I have to see regularly and who has multiple COVID co-morbidities. Thank you for your work! read more

I'm really shocked at how much their prices have increased. I don't think they are abiding by the health regulations regarding Covid; the parking lot is usually full and no one is keeping count of the customers entering. They don't require customers to wear masks which made me decide to forego shopping there until they do. The last time I went there it was during Senior shopping time but the Service Desk was closed, the produce and dairy cases were mostly empty, no one was in the meat department to help, and a customer walked within two feet of me, unmasked and coughing and not even attempting to cover his mouth. The aisles had people standing close together. As I was walking in, a young maskless man sprinted across the lot and went in (senior hours) and no one stopped him. I was hoping management would try to enforce Covid regulations/social distancing but they did not. read more

Went on a Sunday to go shopping and they were out of garlic bread. No biggie! Go back Monday and figured they would have made some. Still all out. I regularly visit this Stop & Shop as it is very close to my home, however last night I experienced something that was completely unacceptable and by far some of the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. After waiting in line for self checkout for nearly 10 minutes because the machine was giving the nice lady in front of me issues, I was able to scan through all of my groceries which totaled just over $20. While I had the cash on me, I wanted to save that for emergencies so I went to pay with my card; I placed it in the chip reader and followed all of the steps through completion, putting in my pin number and everything, when the system froze before it read as my card being accepted. So I asked the kind lady running the self scan for assistance, and she was unsure of what to do so she grabbed the customer service lead. This CS lead was rather unpleasant to the woman running the registers, and explained what to do to her with an attitude before telling me to run my card again. At this point I was apprehensive and decided to pay with cash. When I got to my car, I checked my bank account and, sure enough, I had been charged on my card as well as paid in cash. I hadn't even turned my car on and returned to the store where the same CS Lead assisted me behind the counter. Although I presented her with the receipt and kindly explained what had happened, she accused me of lying and that it didn't withdraw on my card despite the fact that the receipt SAID that it had been accepted and then manually declined after the fact. She informed me that there was NOTHING that she could do for me and that I would have to contact my bank (which is in the same store in fact). There was no apology from her that this happened, no effort to correct the problem that she, herself, had created, and a continued attitude toward me as if it was my fault that this had happened. Needless to say I stormed over to my bank who are helping me right the situation both calmly and kindly. DO NOT SHOP HERE, I hate to think of the amount of people who have been double or even triple charged and haven't noticed at all. Their policies are rigged and make it very difficult to correct the mistakes that they cause. Shop at Dave's Marketplace because they at least CARE about you, your money, and your well being. Stop & Shop needs to re-evaluate their policies for something like this, I'm positive that I am not the first to have to go through this. read more

I've never been to a more filthy grocery store. The produce is constantly bad & we have to return it. We live so close but would rather drive right past S&S to go to Dave's and get better quality food. Save your time and avoid S&S (and the one in Warwick is no better!) read more

Stop & Shop charges over $4.00 per pound for Boneless Pork Loin, in a hole sale pack that's around 9 pounds and up and you will pay like $38.00 for the hole loin, if i was you i would go Price Right, where they only charge $1.99 per pound for Pork Loin, and if it is 9.5 pounds, you would only pay $18.90 not a bad deal, and to get savings on like a hole Pork Loin there is no savings card needed at Price Right, unlike Stop & Shop and Shaws supermarkets where you are required to use your card to get the discount price, but they have a coutesy card they can scan so you can get the sale price, which still isn't bad that i know of. read more
