Not a full shop, this was a quick drop in to try and find the rest room and then pick up a few bits for making sandwiches in the van. At 8pm, the deli was closed up but they had prepared some pre-packaged sliced meats. I found some cheese and some ham that weren't massive quantities. Self-checkout worked well and I was able to come up with a variation of Jenny's number (area code 404, if you must know) that was registered as a shopper for a discount. I like this store. Good produce section, meats and seafood clean with a nice selection. I stopped going for awhile when they started charging for bags, but they no longer charge for them. read more

This Stop & Shop store associate name Liz has a big attitude problem. Her customer service was unprofessional and rude. She doesn't not deserve to have a job there. When I was at a self-checkout with my groceries she rushed up to me and said " you don't know how to read " in a very loud and rude manner. How can she treats their customers with this kind of behavior. The customers are there to spend money on groceries not to see her unprofessional attitude service. It is so sad to see this shop & chop going out of business soon because of this kind of garbage employee working there. Soon or late she will ruin the company reputation. read more

I tend to use the pickup option than going inside. But the people are always friendly. And the few times I've gone inside its been clean.

The store has a lot of items, the staff is pleasant, plenty of parking, and convenient to the post road and route 2. The only thing is that they don't have more than one register open most times. But, they have a good self checkout system. We shop here about 80% of the time. I highly recommend it. read more

The last few times I've been in this location , There were no fresh lettuce,or cucumbers. No bananas all I was able to get was oranges. I almost left the oranges but decided to stick it out. I ve gone different times too not all the same time. I know the workers are trying hard but I blame the upper management for not having a better selection That being said, It's going to be awhile before I go back. Due to a town ordinance they no longer carry plastic bags and have switched over to paper. Also they started the grocery pickup at this location. This one carries way more items than the one on ten rod. read more

Emma was Horrible and apparently needs training again. She talks bad about having to her job to customers. Ex. Her customer made a joke about the lines is getting longer and they have small orders(I forgot small orders are still money). "They can leave if they don't want to wait". Really? I was the next customer. That was rude AND unprofessional. I know she is usually a bagger(that was the comment) and she WAS made to cashier. Customer Service is NOT what she gives. read more

The location is great! North Kingstown,RI, Last 4 times, at least, very few registers open w multiple customers waiting and either you inconveniently WAIT or forced to use self checkout. I rarely use self checkout w/o a problem requiring employee service to continue! Ughhhh read more

Unfortunately I tried going back because I believe in 2nd chances , but, it was worse than the first time I figured if I went to the self bag section I would be able to bag my own and have less grief from the cashier but unfortunately I went over and I had to return a few things I had a few things that were from the fish section so I just told the girl that I was going to return that stuff and I should be good, well, first she yelled to the customers that they were going to have to move somewhere else because she had to return a lot of things and it was going to take awhile and then she yelled for one of the other cashiers what she was doing so everyone who didn't hear her the first time heard her the 2nd time then she was having a fit because she had to pick up the packages and return them and I asked her if she had a problem she said she was allergic to seafood so I said well I can scan the package for you so you don't have to touch it and she said no she had to do it and continued to pitch a fit then the customer in the other isle started yelling at me telling me that I should go to a regular isle to do something like this I don't plan on doing this and she proceeded to tell me how I was holding every one up , and I said unlike you who is taking the time to stick your nose in my business and run your mouth at me instead of ringing out your order. Every one in the store was looking at me, my husband and my sister said you should have said well forget it now I don't want any of it anymore and walked out. But I paid over 200 for my groceries and I went out to my car and cried because I felt like such an idiot and I don't know if I can come back into that place again. read more

Nice big selection with plenty of fresh produce. I love suburban grocery stores almost as much as grocery stores in other countries.

I have been shopping here for years. Despite the fact that I grew up way before the start of the computer age, I still appreciate the hand held scanners that allow me to fill up my bags and check out without putting everything on the conveyer belt.. i have timed it. It shaves 15 minutes off my shopping time. This year, if I do break down and get a smart phone, I should be able to use my phone instead of the scanner to do the same thing! Oh won't all those people who buy and sell data on my shopping habits be delighted!!! Anyway, the store is good for general shopping. I may try Pricerite again to save money. But the checkout system at Stop & Shop is so much easier that maybe I won't. read more

This is my home-base grocery store. They have pretty much all the basics that I could want to fill my fridge or pantry with. I can usually find a decent selection of meats and fresh vegetables there. I haven't bought seafood there in a while, but when I did, it was fresh. I haven't used the deli either, so I can't say how good the products are there. It's a Stop and Shop, not a Whole Foods, so don't expect anything extraordinary, but it does the trick for me. I do like the whole scan and bag while you shop thing as well, which helps speed up the checkout process. read more

I have been living in North Kingstown for about 5 months now, and I am consistently disappointed with the service here. The men at the deli counter have been exceedingly rude, but even worse are the cashiers. Here are just some of my recent experiences: a cashier who does not know how to ring up produce and is angry that I was buying several different types of vegetables, a cashier who bagged groceries for the lady in front of me but did not give her the last bag, a cashier who routinely starts up a full conversation while ringing up groceries and STOPS RINGING UP THE GROCERIES while she is chatting for several minutes (even though there is a line at her register and I politely asked if she could try to keep the line moving). Also, they never have very many cashiers available at once, so it is difficult, if not impossible to avoid the particularly bad cashiers. Although the prices at Dave's are slightly higher, their produce is much better and their employees are kind, helpful, and competent. I plan to take my business there instead. read more
