Shoppers beware -- this store overcharges you for meat and does not care. The picture should say enough about what is happening. I found the steak a bit smaller than what I expected, so I just casually checked the weight with my kitchen scale without thinking too much about it. It turned out that even with packaging, it weighed much less than the printed 0.95lb. I went to the store, talked to customer service, who let me speak with the store manager. The store manager was basically saying "ok I am aware of this" and did not even apologize. What a horrible place. If you think about it, I cannot be the only one being affected by this -- there is either a problem with their scale, or with the process they are labeling the boxes. Either way, there would be at least a few more customers who get incorrect weight on the labels and charged the wrong price. And it could even happen regularly -- who knows? Most of the shoppers probably never bothered to check the weight, or did not came to store to bring up the issue. read more

I enjoy shopping at stop and shop in Old Conn Path in Framingham. There is a good choice of brand names and general merchandise at a good price. The staff is friendly, helpful and professional especially when picking up grocery or at the Pharmacy counter. One of the reasons I didn't give 5 stars is that I have encountered a couple of staff members which are not at all pleasant. (one is a brand new cashier). Drive the extra miles and go to the Natick store. Framingham store is the worst. I lost count on how many times I had to return chop meat after buying it. The prices on certain items I buy are higher than they are at Target. Why is that ? Greed on the corporate side. In the ladies room, the hand dryer has been out of order for months. It got fixed and now its broken again! BUY a new one ! I am disabled and there is absolutely no care when it comes to their mobile carts. Half time they are not plugged in and are broken. Although what they offer might be pretty much "standard" or nothing unusual for suburban super market and it may be nothing to praise about, this place saves me quite a bit for city folks who works in suburb like me. Since my office relocated from Fort Point Channel to Framingham, I was afraid that my lunch option would be very limited since I'd need a car to get around. But I got lucked out that this Super Stop & Shop located within walking distance from my office. Their a la carte selection is pretty big and holds wide variety of selection. Although I haven't tried one(because it's too big for one person), I would love to try Shepherd's pie one day. I like their soup and salad bar, but I do have to complain that they are little bit slow on refilling clam chowder. Also, they have Dunkin' Donuts inside which is absolutely godsend to me. read more

If you're like most others, living a first world free existence, you probably do your shopping on the weekends. Unless you're Stop & Shop. See, Stop & Shop exists in another dimension evolved well beyond the first world where everything is controlled by machines and intuition; we, as lowly inhabitants of the modern world, have failed to keep pace with the groundbreaking advances of Stop & Shop society. So on the busiest days of the week, grocery shopping feels like a mid-apocalyptic Hunger Games. Everything is kept well stocked and there's plenty of variety but there is no service or assistance whatsoever. There are 3:1 self checkout to cashier ratio which makes for nightmare scenarios and in the unfortunate event that you need personal contact and assistance to find an item, you literally feel like you have to seek out someone and request their attention. The one bright spot was Rickey from the deli who was awesome and helpful. Oh, and I didn't get his name but the automated computer at the self checkout was the second most helpful. read more

The sole reason I am writing this review is because of how I was treated by Stacey Seeds during my self-checkout. After making a corporate purchase (with my corporate credit card,) I went to make a personal purchase with my personal card. Wanting to also purchase a reusable bag, I scanned it and put it on the belt to go through with the rest of my items. However it was so flat it was not picked up and my kiosk began to blink. Stacey Seeds (I took the time to make sure I noted her name from the plaque in the front of the store) came over and I told her my problem. She immediately said "Well you FIRST need to pay for all of these items down here!" Um. What? I showed her my extremely long receipt from the corporate order and told her (without the annoying tone in my voice that I so wanted to express) that I had already paid for them. To that she became a little flustered and overrode the error to allow me to also purchase my reusable bag. Little tip Stacey. Do not immediately accuse customers of trying to steal from self-check out. I work at a large company nearby and visit this store weekly for office kitchen needs and events. Very turned off by the way I was instantly accused. Not. Cool. I would definitely stop shopping here if it weren't the only grocery store within half a mile. read more

Simply put: this store is awful. For all future newer residents like me, allow me to explain exactly why I felt it necessary to say this: 1. Nearly everything is more expensive here than every other grocery store in the area. Or, as I've learned, It's like paying Whole Foods prices but without the better quality and produce or nicer patrons. 2. The fish counter. Oh, the fish counter. I hope you brought your Sudoku puzzles with you. Where is the fish guy? No one ever knows. I am not exaggerating when I say I usually wait 3 - 10 minutes for this elusive employee to show up. Sometimes, it is even worse when he actually does. One time last July he stood there with his back to me texting on his phone for 3 minutes while I politely said, "excuse me, sir?" 6 times before he turned around. 3. The Stop n Shop card. Is it still 1993? Do you really think we feel we're getting a deal getting 2-3% "off" our bill with your customer tracking tactics? The grocery bill still ends up being 20-25% more per trip than anywhere else anyway. I always leave here feeling ripped off. The fact that I just saved $1 buying gasoline with your "points" is just adding insult to injury. Ditch the card system. 3. The checkout line. There are almost never more than two lanes open at a time. If there is a long line, you can wait, or gamble on: 4. The self-checkout line. What should be a solution to the above ends up always taking longer and requires an employee to come by and fix the crappy automated scanner system anyway. (I should add the employees are always helpful and at least seem to share my hatred for how poor this thing is). As a bonus, at least two of the self checkout machines are always not open (explain?!), broken, or some unknown combination of the two. 5. The parking lot. Every cliche ever said about Mass drivers comes true here. In an effort to enhance the negative experience of avoiding being run over or cut off as you leave the store, the landscaping crew thoughtfully cut down virtually every shrub or piece of greenery in sight. Stunning. Whomever designed this parking lot is either sadastic or stupid. And there it is. The honest truth in 5 strikes. I acknowledge these are first world problems, but any of these things could be improved upon. Instead of adding more stores every 2 miles, how about reinvent yourself and take a hard look at your competition? You've been given more than a fair shot, Stop n Shop, but I'm spent. read more

PROS: -- Convenient location, that is a bit out of the middle of everything, affecting in traffic not being too bad. Located on Old Connecticut Path at the junction of Route 126. -- Dunkin Donuts located inside. Want coffee, hot chocolate, donuts, or a sandwich before you get home or somewhere else? There is a full DD branch right inside the store. -- Citizens Bank also located inside. Only full service Citizens in the Golden Triangle. Open 'til 7 on weeknights -- Pharmacy. Want to get everything you need in one shot? Kill 2 birds with one stone and put your pharmacy at Stop&Shop. -- This is a SUPER Stop&Shop. Has more than just average Stop&Shops and is guaranteed to carry MORE than everything you'd possibly need from a grocery store -- Organized. Yeah, maybe it's not the cleanest Stop&Shop, but the store is extremely organized, which is a plus! -- Lots of Self Checkout & Scanners. 2 full sets of scanner guns located at each entrance, and 6 self checkout registers -- Always enough help, and business is never an issue. Lots of checkout staff and staff throughout other depts in the store, and the store seems never to be that busy, and normally dead. CONS: -- Cleanliness. The store could definitely use some scrubbing and cleanliness. Hopefully this will happen soon (it's not awful though...) -- Renovations. This Stop&Shop desperately needs renovations. New shopping carts, new aisle signs, new register signs, and just to get cleaner (as mentioned above.) -- Dark Parking Lot. This area isn't the best, and during one of my last visits to the Framingham Stop&Shop, the parking lot was very dark and lighting was not nearly as present as it should have been. Overall, it's a good stop for some groceries and one of the only options in the area, the only Golden Triangle grocery store. 4 stars. read more

This one actually deserves a 3.5, but I obviously can't do that. The Stop & Shop on Old Connecticut Path is great; I like the cleanliness of this particular one. The staff there have always been helpful and the shelves are well stocked and never in disarray. There is another store on Temple St. in Framingham, however. This one is not quite as nice as the Old Conn. Path location. I couldn't find a review area for the Temple Street Stop & Shop though. Moving on, A lot of stop & shop locations carry some specialty items. However, I find that it's limited for that kind of thing. There's a whole foods down the street, so that's not a big deal. I find that this supermarket is often out of things in the produce section and I need to look around and find someone to replenish the items. Finally, while this doesn't reflect on Stop & Shop as a whole, I have to share an experience I had recently. The green beans in the produce section were moldy. As if that wasn't bad enough, when I told a store worker (he was very nice), he was shocked and said he'd replace them. Another worker came over to him and stated, "Dude, don't replace them, just cut the mold off." Not cool. I'm not sure if that's standard operating procedure or if the guy was just a jerk, but it definitely rubbed me the wrong way. read more

This location is terrible ..poor customer service in the produce dept. strawberries were moldy..the checker literally threw my apples in my bag so hard they got bruised. One bagger left before finishing bagging stuff and as a result I was left to bag my groceries while the checker moved on to the next customer. Weird. Save your money and shop elsewhere. read more

Way overpriced yet promote themselves as competitive. Because you have to just drive farther to other towns to get away from them they get a decent share of business but overall they stink and are way too expensive. 6.99/lb for american cheese? 4.29 or higher for a gallon of milk? Giving this place only 2 cuz I thought this place was overpriced for their foods. Definitely would choose Shaw's over Stop and Shop. Because even though a lot of Shaw's foods have similar prices, you can some great deals there. Everything is clean and looks well maintained. If I could give this place zero stars I would. There is a young girl named Kristen and a older lady named Ruby that I actually had to call and complain about. When checking out at the store a bottle of Gatorade fell of the belt and the cap broke causing the Gatorade to spill. I waited until Ruby was done arguing with the customer in front of me about shrimp telling him he was wrong. When she was done I asked her politely for paper towel so I could clean the spill up she looks at me and says "I got none and then walked to another register to get some. She then gave me a piece and also hands me Windex and says you better spray that because it will be sticky. First of all I would have no problem cleaning it up if you at-least offered like most stores do. Second there was a younger gentleman who I assume was a supervisor because he was in a purple shirt and a girl named Kristen. They were at the next register which was closed and they were watching a video on Kristen's phone (So unprofessional). After I cleaned up the whole mess my order was rung through Ruby charged me for the Gatorade and handed it back to me. It was open and the cover had broke. I looked at her and said you can throw that away there is no cap and I don't want it to spill in my car. She goes I cant throw it away for you..... So I turned around looked at Kristen and said I have paid for this but the cap broke and I don't want it. She looks at me amazed and goes what am I suppose to do with this. The kid she was originally talking to goes you have to dump it in the sink. She got all upset by this and puts it on another closed register and goes I'm the only one here I don't have time for this.(Kristen you are not the only one here and when you strap on that name tag and tell every customer your name you should be making a much better impression to the customer because you re representing a company) I run a Customer Service Department for a much bigger company than Stop and Shop and I would have fired all three of those employees on the spot. I am not a mean person I always smile at the cashier and ask them how they are and thank them because I once stared out as a cashier but I cant get over the utter ridiculous of those three individuals. Nobody would fathom how disturbing and scary this supermarket can be; the level of insolence to customers at this supermarket is beyond its measure. There is remote possibility that you would ever receive an offer help in finding a thing here. On top of that, you would have a great chance encountering a cashier who is nasty as hell and right down mean to you, and the chance of that is an old chubby Mom with her waist is size of a crud oil drum. This is such a shitty supermarket as far as the quality of services being rendered to customers. Especially, the old Mom cashiers are deplorable in handing customers; they have not brushed up their social skills in years, and they are full of prejudices. We, humans are very sensitive; their years of accumulated prejudices in their lives can be seen on their faces. Today, I went shopping and got a load of grocery in the shopping cart. Checking out at the cash register, a small bag of onion was slipped through and got hidden behind two packages of water bottles stacked -I did not noticed that it had been left out. As the cashier scanned the bar codes, noticing the bag, the cashier tauntingly said,"you did not take that out!" as if I was caught on stealing it. She came over to the cart and grabbed the bag. After scanning the bag, she came over to the cart again and glanced the cart to see if anything else had been stolen. This old woman is socially very inept; she did not greet me when our eyes were met in the first place and her overall demeanor was under par, never smiling and never being courteous even though I was spending over $100. She seemed very uneducated and definitely needs a massive dose of psychotherapy for having such low opinion on humanity. I am sure Stop&Shop has to hire these scary Moms to be able to bark at people. I bet that she has not made love in decades!! Stop&Shop, you are so anachronistic, so out of tune.. I will go shopping at either Whole Food or Market BAsket from now on, not Stop&Shop anymore. Extremely rude employees. Apparently, there is virtually NO customer training with management not caring about the customer experience at all. Today, for example, my husband and I were at the self-checkout that wasn't working. When we finally were able to find a manager, she had a young employee come over. When we told her of the problem, she punched the machine several times. When we told her an item wasn't scanning, she punched in several other numbers. She made no eye contact at any time, did not speak to us so she did not apologize for the inconvenience. Instead she turned her back and sauntered away when she was done punching the machine. In the past, we have put up with the continuing rudeness due to convenience. Today we are absolutely done, recognizing that you pay really HIGH PRICES without any sense that the store feels they owe the customer a decent shopping experience. So my husband and I have vowed to do a better job by planning our shopping experiencing that will EXPRESSLY AVOID STOP AND SHOP now and in the near future. If we want to pay high prices, we will go to WHOLE FOODS and receive a customer experience that is worth paying for. And if we want to pay less, we will go to Market Basket. read more

I am a handicapped person, I use the electric carts to shop and try to go to the store early in the morning so I do not disrupt the busy shopping times. Sunday 4/9/17 I came in early in the morning, selected 7 items and proceeded to the checkout. There were at the time 2 registers with lights on, I chose the register closest to me and placed all my items on the belt. I pulled forward only to realize there was no person at this register. The clerk was 3 registers away talking to the other clerk and placing bags there. I waited approximately 5 minutes before she stopped talking and came to this register. Upon coming over she did not apologize for the delay and seemed rather irked that I had interrupted her conversation. I shop frequently rather than purchase a large amount of groceries. I am sure that my $33 was not important to this store. I just moved to this area and want to make sure that they know this was my first and last trip to your store.
