It's pretty spacious and big as the size of the grocery store that I usually drop by for something quick like a loaf of bread, milk, and/or eggs. Service from staff isn't too bad at all, friendly at times. I like that the aisles aren't narrow and clean to walk through/between when there're other shoppers in the same lane. Ambiance wise is your typical grocery store kind of space. Decent amount of parking spots in the parking lot. This is just so close from where I live like literally around the corner so I never have to be afraid when I do happen to run out of food and/or where to go if I just want some apples or a can of beans. Location wise is right across the street from the Q25 Bus stop, so people can easily travel back to Main Street. There's a self-checkout area if you want to scan your own groceries. Additionally, you can apply for a Stop & Shop Rewards Card for on sale items of the week just for members only. read more

I miss this grocery store since moving out of the area. When I lived in Queens, I would come to Stop & Shop as my first choice when shopping for groceries. In my opinion, I thought they had the best sales and the stores were always clean. This location is fairly new. Well at least to me it is. This used to be a Pathmark. Stop & Shop took over many of the supermarkets that went out of business apparently. I was super excited when my dad told me Stop & Shop was here. I make it a point to visit every time I come back home. This store is pretty massive in space and they do carry so many items, it's insane! Since I have been shopping here the last year or two, my go to is their brand of onion soup packets. I use them for onion dip for chips. It is perfection! This store is always clean and tidy. The staff have always been friendly and personable. There are some deranged customers but that is not the store's fault. read more

Slightly bigger than my local Stop & Shop perhaps and appeared to be pretty clean. I didn't walk around the entire place, would've taken too long. I desperately needed some wet cat food and there isn't a specialty pet food store in Flushing. At least none that I'm aware of, so I had to find something healthy for my girls. Luckily S&S has their own line, Nature's Promise, that is grain free and the ingredients seem pretty comparable to what I normally buy online. My girls were quite happy but sadly my local S&S doesn't carry the same variety and they only have the small cans. So if I want NP cat food, I'm definitely coming back here to stock up. There wasn't that many registers open the first time I shopped here but there was no line the last time I went which was incredible. I normally have to wait 10-30 mins at my local S&S. I have never spent so little time buying groceries at a supermarket. Will come back to this location since the bus stop is right outside the mall. Hopefully I can spend more time perusing the aisles so I can get an idea where everything is. The selection is different. The meat area is a bit limited and they don't stock up fast enough. It's just located away from the main area of Flushing so it's a long walk but what's a lil exercise. The area is a bit run down and seems a bit scary at night. Once I saw a skinny raccoon having dinner on the sidewalk as I was on my way to the supermarket. That lil guy needs to move south so he can fatten up.. read more

I want to counter a few points made by Jennifer, presumably also one of this establishment's employees: 1. My review never mentioned a monetary discrepancy. My issue is based solely off of the verbal attack we received by their staff. 2. It would be absurd for a customer to react the way we did if we did not experience micro-aggression. 3. We have not insulted Melissa or your staff with name calling. Quite frankly, it's immature. To be reached out privately and referred to as a clown and pathetic suggests this individual lacks social boundaries. Additionally, Jennifer posted a review to contest my post. I believe she has mistaken me for another customer because these events did not occur. Melissa never directed any racial slurs or have we ever claimed such. But the elaborate tall tales might also be true. We have video footage of proof to counter her claims. It appears to me this is not the first incident Melissa has encountered with a customer. I hope this drives our point of the intensity in hostility towards Asian Americans this location fosters. read more

Pretty decent stop and shop. It's quite big with plenty of parking. I really like the deli area. They have a kiosk where you can place your order and it prints a receipt with your number and when to come back to pick up your deli order. So you don't have to wait. They also announce on the PA when your order is ready. So easy! read more

Amazing that this supermarket is open so early at 6am and closes late at 12am. A very convenient supermarket to collect and buy all your grocery needs. Driving here is ideal since there's a big parking lot. The staff here are very helpful, all you need to do is ask. They have a large assortment of foods in the deli and grab & go section. There's so many things to choose from and the prices are decent. Whenever I visit this location it doesn't seem to be too packed, which is definitely a plus. This is my go-to supermarket since the price is right and the hours are unbeatable, 6am to 12am!! read more

Since the coronavirus outbreak this store has failed to restock their shelves. I work nearby and for the last month it has been wiped out. It makes no sense. Other grocery stores have their shelves restocked. Also, a half gallon of organic milk is listed for $6.19, that's the cheapest. The last time I bought stew meat there it was old, tough and oxidized. I have bought Starbucks coffee beans that were on sale, only to realize when I got home that the coffee had been expired for 6 months. Since the pandemic began, there is still no toilet paper on their shelves. There are lines like crazy. The lines are more for social distancing rather than panic buying. Worst place ever. We parked our car on the lot to get to McDonald, where apparently it's stop$shop only. And once we left the restaurant 10 minutes later we see that our car it's getting towed away. They tell us that it's the law. And that it's on stop&shop property. THUS, you cannot shop anywhere near except for Stop&Shop. We had to pay 125 dollars. There were several others cars parked near my car with people going to McDonald BUT only my car is the victim? ONCE WE PAID, They just fucking left. What about the other cars? Are you kidding me? I have given Stop &Shop so many chances. Let's start when ya come into the store. Only one door works which makes it hard to enter the store. You can't find a shopping cart that's not broken or the wheels locked. The fruits and veggies. I buy fruit and not a day later i see mold in the container. The produce ( mostly the onions) have flies around them and are not of great quality. The meat selection is not greatest. On busy weekends there should be more than two cashiers. I just fed they have dropped the ball and didn't pick it up. read more

I enjoy the digital coupons stop and shop offers. Last week I went to the customer service counter to add these coupons to my card, (as I do at every stop and shop location). At this store they said to just tell the cashier about the digital coupon and they will apply the discount. When I went to checkout the cashier started an argument saying I had to apply all of the discounts ahead of time through an app. Clearly frustrated, she kept arguing about the price of the items, kept saying I was wrong. This place is good and this used to be formerly Pathmark which went bankruptcy before coronavirus. Nice store mascot which is named Marty the Robot Who can detect any spills at any aisle and report to the worker. Nice water dispenser to empty 5 gallon jug and fill up. You must wear a mask to enter the store and lineup by the freezer. The bank inside the store is not open still temporarily closed. read more

My husband and I got a pack of 12 beers 1 week ago. When we opened the box of beers the bottles were filled with big chunks of mold. We went today to returned them and they told us their policy doesn't allow returning any type of items (even though what they are selling is spoiled). Great supermarket as far as the selection of products and prices, but incredibly poorly managed. On a recent trip with my wife, we stopped there to pick up a few items. As we looked for an open register, we noticed there were only two cashiers open and two huge lines of people waiting. After waiting on line for 30 minutes and the cashier still dealing with the same one customer, we eventually left the carriage in the middle of the aisle and left for a different supermarket where we spent more money but didn't have to deal with such an inconvenience. On another visit, I quickly purchased some gift cards and got on line. After waiting an unreasonably long time, I was told I could only pay for gift cards at customer service. When I went to the customer service line they told me that you can pay for gift cards at the regular register. What really changed my opinion of this store was the time I was charged $6.99 for figs that were on sale for $3.99. After reviewing my receipt, I returned to the store and politely showed the error to the customer service attendant who told me "What do you want me to do about it". Entered this supermarket twice and refuse to go back. First time I entered we went to produce. Which happens to be right there when you enter. All I could smell was this horrible fish smell coming from the seafood dept. second time we went there for toilet paper. Got home to find the toilet paper had a serious mildew smell to it. After examining all the rolls and packaging there was no evidence of water damage. Not sure why the toilet paper had such a horrible odor. Will never shop there again. read more

I like this stop and shop store. It has some of the best prices in flushing. I grew up in this area and always shopped here. Before the stop and shop it was a path mark. I always come here to do a lot of my shopping. It has a huge parking lot and is very convenient. The produce are very fresh and meat quality is very good. Customer service is okay here. read more

This shop and stop recently replaced the Pathmark that was in this shopping center. It seems like it was a rush for the grand opening. Although there was many friendly staff there. Some of them had some attitude probably due to the rush to get the store in order. I am sure this will change once everything settles down. It also seems the staff here are finding their way around the store as it is new. The grand opening today (10/31) had a few free samples and a DJ. One thing I have note is that the checkout systems are not fully programmed leading to really long lines. Self checkout took nearly 15 minutes for 8 items because some shop and stop items weren't scanning properly as well as the coupons. Since there is only one attendant for Multiple self checkout stations, it took them a while to come around for the 7th time I needed them. read more

The quality and selection are solid here. Unfortunately, none of that matters if I don't go inside. The store opens at 6:30 AM. However, several days ago, I went there at 7:45 AM and couldn't get a shopping cart to use. That's because they're all locked together in the front of the store with some sort of wire. I told the manager about it a few days ago and he said that they guy who unlocks them is usually there by 7 AM. Gave him the benefit of the doubt. But, since it just happened again today, I can no longer give him the benefit of the doubt. And there were 2 other potential customers today who were with me trying to get a cart. We all got frustrated and left without going in to shop. I guess we'll have to go to Shop Rite or Good Fortune to spend our $$. Hey store manager - You're open at 6:30. Have someone unlock the carts at 630, not later. If I can't get a shopping cart I can't shop in your store. How difficult is that concept to understand? read more

Stop and Shop Farrington St is a big, full selection supermarket which makes one stop shopping possible. The non sale prices are generally lower than Shop Rite and there is plenty of parking, however the parking lot itself is pretty rundown looking and dirty. I find the store inside clean, bright and modern. Going in the store itself is annoying. Only One one door of the two has been operating for almost a year now forcing shoppers entering and leaving with shopping carts to get bottlenecked. The store selection of items is terrific, produce is nice and fresh, deli counter has Boars Head products sliced fresh to order, dairy section is huge. I deducted two stars for the meat department and staff. Outside of Perdue packaged chicken, I will not buy meats there as I personally find their quality to not even come close to the meats offered at Shop Rite. As for the staff, from personal interaction and things I've observed and heard while in the store, staff do not seem to take pride in their jobs and seem to wish they were working elsewhere. read more

Very clean, very big store. They have eveything you need here from medicine to yogurt to chips to gifts. It used to be a pathmark but ever since it became stop and shop, the store seems so much cleaner. I hope it stays this clean.. The workers are all helpful. Pathmark closed down and Stop and Shop replaced it. So far so good, nice grand opening sales. The layout is a bit different. I came in a little after 9am on a Saturday, it was too crowded. I purchased about $150 worth of groceries for $100 but that also included coupons on top of the sales. A few notable sales were 69 cents for Ronzoni pasta, and 98 cents for a dozen eggs with circular coupon and $25 minimum purchase. Overall the prices seem to be quite comparable to most other Queens and Long Island Stop & Shops. I'm really glad they opened, now I don't have to drive all the way to use New Hyde Park or Glendale to shop there. It's definitely a vast improvement. read more

I never write negative reviews. I have been shopping here since 2015, and shopped at Pathmark before that. I came here yesterday to do some shopping and get out of the house as I was going stir crazy. I suffer from crippling osteoarthritis and the recent cold/snowy weather makes it intolerable. But I needed a few items that Stop n Shop used to carry, like wild bird seed and cat food (yes, I am an older "kooky" lady who likes to feed feral cats and wild birds - as well as my own housecat). I took my Uber and came here to shop, where I used to spend many happy hours (when I was not in as much pain) as I loved grocery shopping. I got out of my Uber and struggled to where the carts are, not a single cart that moved, all were "locked"...finally got one that was a bit wonky. A very nice lady at the entrance did give me disinfectant on some towels to wipe the handles. It was downhill from there. There was no stock. No Friskies, no wild bird seed, no Fancy Feast, no Delectable Bisques (for my animals). OK, its been crappy weather, maybe the trucks have not been arriving. In every aisle, as you are trying to comply with the arrows that point you in the right way to go - there are employees re-stocking, and they are none too tolerant of an old lady with a cane struggling to push a cart. Customers (not the store's fault, agreed) on their cell phones and walkie talkies ignoring you if you want to make your way down the aisle, loudly describing every variety of cereal available to whoever is on the other end. One very obnoxious employee speaking extremely loudly in Spanish, laughing with someone on his phone. The butchers are nasty and pushy, god forbid you should be trying to select something where they want to dump their meat packages. In the soda aisle one employee of one of the soda companies I imagine had his full cart in front of literally an entire display that I wanted to get something from, and ignored me as I struggled to reach for an item (he actually stood behind me heaving huge sighs and finally I gave up). I got on line and the rude "line manager" yelled "15!" without looking at me, so I had no idea he meant me. He yelled it again and I asked "are you talking to me?" "YES!" he replied, turning away in disgust. I really considered just abandoning my entire cart of my few groceries right there and going home. At aisle 15, the cashier was syrupy sweet but as I struggled to get everything on the belt, she scanned the groceries at the speed of light - when they were all piled up crushing each other at the end of the belt (as she did not bother to arrange them in any way) I had to beg her to stop. I asked if she could help me bag (as there was a pretty long line waiting) and she replied in her syrupy sweet phony voice, "no, since they're YOUR bags" She then proceed to sit down and hum annoyingly until I was finished struggling, bagging my groceries. Never again. I have had my Stop n Shop app taken off the phone, will NEVER return here. UGH what a horrible horrible experience. read more

Has both self checkout and a cashier line . Prices are cheap and they always have specials. Did notice the shopping carts thought . The children's seat is so little . A huge store with great selections, plenty of parking spots. Store is organized and clean, prices sometimes are great on the sales items. Operation hours are long, it won't close until mid-night, and it is conveniently located right off the Whitestone Expressway, it is my go to place when I am on my way to or back from Downtown Flushing. A few more cashiers would be nice, but it is understandable since labor is now costly with minimum wage hiked to $15 this year. read more
