OMG, H Mart is taking over Flushing, Queens! This newest location was less than a 5-minute walk from my bus stop. You can buy fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, seafood, snacks, beverages, baked goods, etc. Check out their weekly promotional sale items throughout the grocery store. I bought these items below: Calpico Lychee $5.99 Calpico Mango $5.99 Yogo Vera Watermelon $3.99 Note: Don't forget to scan your H Mart smart savings card! I love, love, love H Mart so much!

I have been to a few H Marts and this Asian market is not a large store, but packed tight with a little bit of everything from fresh vegetables, noodles, sauces, frozen food plus more. They offer a fantastic selection of cooked foods. If you are looking for fresh cooked Korean food without going to a restaurant, this is the place to be they have such a great selection, which makes my life easier when I feel lazy and do not want to cook. It is a healthier option, plus much better than fast food. It is very easy to get to by subway or bus and it can get a bit crowded because this is a very busy area. This has been one of my to go place when I am in the area.

Located a short walk from the 7 Flushing station is this H Mart. Its large, well-lit, and relatively organized/clean. Produce look fresh and have essentially every Korean goods and other Asian (mostly Chinese products). Pricing is on the higher side compared to the nearby Chinese competitors but they do have weekly sales which will get you on par. Not a zoo like other markets given pricing and away from the Flushing super busy streets. No food court. I was hunting for some frozen kimbop and a staffer helped me locate it (and he wasn't Asian).

Yo, I love HMart! If you are looking into having hotpot or Korean bbq at home, this is the place to get all your needs and wants. The staff is very friendly and helpful while you shop around. It's a great market for all your Asian necessities. I love how the meats are so fresh and high quality. We got some side dishes that were really good as well. They even had Korean Kloud beer! We loved everything once we cooked it at home. Everything was delicious. Highly recommended!

There's no shortage of Asian supermarkets in NYC, especially in Flushing. Customers seeking Chinese…read moregroceries are luckily spoilt for choice compared to most of the country. DC Market (德昌DeChang in Chinese) is one of many places to shop, and they specialize in meat and takeout meals. This location is similar in size to their Chinatown location, though Flushing has more of a rectangular layout in contrast to the long narrow layout in Ctown. Their butcher counter is pretty much unparalleled compared to other Asian supermarkets with the exception of maybe large format Hmarts. DC carries a wide breadth of edible animal products both au naturel and marinated, including more familiar meats such as pork chops, short rib, flank steak, sea bass, running the gamut to less commonly appreciated though edible parts like frog legs, pork lung and hocks, beef tongue, whelk. Marinated specialties like tangerine peel minced beef and pork ribs in pickled plum sauce caught my attention, among many others. The second largest section is the ready-to-eat food section, with items pre-portioned in takeout containers, priced by the container. This area is composed of several counters with a wide selection of steamed, deep-fried, baked, sautéed and stewed dishes, all categories covered--vegetables, meats, carbs, savory and sweet--food items for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Overall food quality is not quite on par with good restaurants as some other reviews mention, though not too bad if you're looking for a quick simple meal. Aside from aforementioned meat, some seafood, and takeout, they have a suitable breadth of fresh produce, refrigerated/chilled, dried and frozen foods. What you don't find too much here are packaged snacks and processed foods, which I suppose is a good thing.

Check expiry dates on anything canned-and pay mind to produce…read more Staff redefines ignorant and rude. They simply refuse to help you when you ask. "Security" stopped certain racial groups to check their receipt and let others go without checking. Last I looked, that's called "profiling". Complaint Regarding Extremely Unprofessional and Threatening Behavior…read moreStore: New Age Market I had an extremely upsetting and unacceptable experience at the meat department of this store, and I feel it is necessary to report it. I initially asked for approximately 5 pounds of pork. The first staff member refused to sell by weight and insisted that I must order by "number of pieces." I explained that as a customer, I do not know the exact weight of each piece and that other supermarkets normally sell by pounds. He responded impatiently and arbitrarily gave me two pieces. Then I asked for about 5 pounds of pork chops. The same staff member again refused and demanded that I specify the number of slices. When I questioned this unreasonable requirement, his attitude became confrontational. A second staff member joined and, instead of helping, supported the first employee and argued with me. He even asked, "Are you buying or not?" When I said I would file a complaint, he told me, "Then don't buy." This is completely unacceptable customer service. A third staff member initially agreed to help weigh 5 pounds for me. However, when I mentioned that I would report the previous employees, he refused to serve me as well, saying that if I complained, he would not help me either. This clearly shows unprofessional and retaliatory behavior. I then went to the front desk to ask for a manager. The staff member there was unhelpful at first and said she was busy. After I waited, she told me she would try to find a manager, but later informed me that no manager was available and could not tell me when one would be present. I waited for a long time, but no one took responsibility. Eventually, the front desk staff member said she would help me get the meat weighed, and I went back to the meat department with her. At that point, the third staff member finally weighed approximately 5 pounds of pork chops for me. However, when I attempted to take photos to document this incident, the third staff member suddenly became aggressive. He lifted the bag of pork chops and raised it directly toward my head in a striking motion, as if attempting to hit me, while demanding to know why I was taking photos. This behavior was clearly threatening and made me feel unsafe. After receiving the pork chops, I immediately left the counter to avoid further confrontation. Key Issues: * Refusal to accommodate reasonable purchasing requests (by weight) * Rude, confrontational, and dismissive behavior from multiple employees * Staff refusing service after I mentioned filing a complaint * Lack of management presence or accountability * Threatening and aggressive behavior by the third employee This experience was extremely distressing. I expect this issue to be taken seriously, and I strongly urge management to investigate this incident, address staff conduct, and ensure that no customer is subjected to such treatment or intimidation in the future.
