I have been here twice and must take the time to tell all readers...GO HERE! It is located on Factoria Blvd tucked behind McDonald's. You can't see it from the street so it is easy to miss. Don't. You wouldn't want to overlook this hidden jewel. As previous reviews have said the shop is clean, comfortable and welcoming. There are 4 pedicure chairs and 4 nail stations. I made an appointment for each visit and they were able to take care of us as soon as we walked in the door (however, walk-in's are welcome).
A set of freshly sanitized tools are used on each client; that earns huge points in my book. I have taken my 85 year old mom, 89 year old dad and 84 year old aunt here for mani/pedi's. Everyone has left feeling well taken care of and loving their nails. My dad needs a bit of assistance getting around and settled into a pedicure chair. I went to help him so he wouldn't feel awkward or out of place. The owner Jimmy smiled and guided me to my chair saying they would take good care of him. And they did so beautifully and with respect.
My aunt had a silk wrap done by Jimmy and said it was one of the best she has received. I went in for a silk wrap as well but they talked me into a shellac polish. I am so glad they did. I had it done again on my second visit. They have lots of shellac color choices but I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for last time so they had me describe the color and said it will be waiting for me on my next visit. They certainly know how to put 'service' into customer service.
Owner Tony has an attention to detail that is remarkable. I can honestly say my thick unmanageable cuticles have never looked as good as they do when he is done with them and the polish application is edge to edge with straight lines and not off the nail.
I watched Tony's mom massage my folks legs and hands. I think I would go in just for a massage from Hong. She takes her time, locates all the pressure points and makes sure the muscles and tendons are treated with TLC.
Owner Jimmy, will keep you entertained throughout your visit. The shop is small enough that even if he's not working on your nails, he is still close enough to engage you in lively, interesting conversation. I'm a talker so I like this but if you are looking for a quiet visit you simply have to let them know.
That's the thing about this place; the entire staff aims to please and wants you to be satisfied with your visit. They check in with you during your visit and when you are leaving to make sure you are pleased. If you're not, say so (politely of course). They will make it right. If you leave unhappy without saying something, you have only yourself to blame. If I were to find one fault it would be the volume of the music. The selection is great but it can be hard to chat over the volume - especially when your ears are as mature as ours :) That said, I didn't ask to have it turned down so shame on me. I will next time.
Some staff members aren't as fluent in English but owners Tony and Jimmy readily step in to make communication easy for the customer. They do not chat in Vietnamese among themselves unless there is a need for clear direction and instructions. When this happens the owners tell you what they were talking about. I have never experienced that before and found it to be amazingly considerate. I appreciate their thoughtfulness.
Oh yes, and my only other complaint is about the neck massage while your nails are drying...it is way too short :) read more
