This is our closest pizzeria so we do frequent here a lot, only for pizza. They are consistently fine, not umbertos or o sole mio quality but most importantly not that expensive as those places. I do enjoy their coupons on their boxes and the staff are very friendly. We are lucky to have a close and adequate pizzeria by us. I am not a fan of their garlic knots as I am impartial to more seasoning and oily. read more

I've been coming here for several years, usually ordering whole pie's togo, occasionally hot hero's, and pasta dishes. Service is very prompt and generally whether ordering hot pie's or hot hero's via phone, a time estimate of 15-20 minutes is generally accurate. Food is always nicely heated to perfection to share some nice slices of pie, hero's, or pasta after picking up and waiting in car for 10 minutes. Whole pies: Go to is half chicken bacon ranch and half meat supreme. Pizza's have a great mixture of cause, cheese, and the breading/crust/thickness is usually just right. Have also enjoyed their chicken parm, chipotle bacon ranch, and buffalo chicken. Other: All hot hero's are great, their chicken franchese is delicious with an excellent sauce/taste. Got a few slices with toppings to go to a nearby scenic park based on recommendation of the staff at the store. Great idea to visit Avalon park with a few slices including the margherita. The pizza was still crusty after the car ride, the sauce wasn't overly sweet and the mozzarella was right on. I almost missed visiting because there was no contact number listed on Yelp and not knowing if it was still open right now. I tried to add it on Yelp so hopefully others won't have the same concern. read more

This is a nice, quiet pizza place near Stony Brook Road. Its sauce and cheese were terrific. They were able to cook the pizza well done, just the way I like it. The service is quite fast, we received our pizza within 10 minutes of ordering. The only downside is, their toppings were a bit limited. Overall, this was a nice little pizza joint. read more

Stony Brook Pizza did not let me down. I ordered the meatball parm and my parents got the sausage parm and chicken parm. We LOVED all three parms. The toast was crunchy and warm and the meat was hot. The cheese was the good kind of ooey-gooey and the sauce was perfection. They even gave you a side of sauce just in case you needed some more! The parm sandwiches are a part of their lunch special. This means that you can get the sandwich with a complimentary fountain soda! Awesome right? There is a good amount of seating but usually at places like this a lot of people choose to take it to-go. The bathroom is super clean too, what a plus! Awesome pizzaria. I highly suggest coming here if you are in the area for some great Italian food at a fantastic price. read more

Take out tonight was deluxe. We had a nice , fat Greek salad, a meatball, mushroom and onion pizza, and a roll of spinach and ricotta. The pizza was only supposed to be half toppings, but they did the whole thing. The spinach and ricotta roll was so good- the best part of the meal. Ordered here the other night with my boyfriend's family. They recently bought a house in the area and were sooo excited they were able to find such a great pizza place nearby! We were pretty hungry and feeling ambitious so we ordered one regular pie and one baked ziti pie! We got delivery and the pizza was still hot and fresh when it got to us. The baked ziti pie was awesome!! Not usually my go-to slice, but so glad I was coerced into trying it because it was sooo good!! The crust on this pizza is also really good, very doughy and filling which was great. We also ordered 12 garlic knots, and OMG, these were incredible. If we didn't have two pizzas that we needed to finish I could've eaten an entire order myself, that's how awesome they were. They were sooo good and so addicting it was hard to stop at just two. Probably the best garlic knots I've ever had!! Can't wait to visit again and try some other pies and food options that they have, and you can bet I'll be ordering a side of garlic knots EVERY time we go/order from here! I found this pizzeria about a year and a half ago they always made the freshest delicious pizza pies I specifically we go out of my way to go there and get pizza when you would go in on the counter of the pizzas that were there the slices would never look fresh however ordering a pie was always the best pie ever. In the last four months everything seems to have changed Pizza sauce now has seeds in it which it never did before. The heroes like chicken Parmesan the chicken no longer comes in whole pieces it comes chopped up so it's dry and tasteless. This was the third time this is happened I'm probably going to give them one more shot in another month or so only I won't order five things like I did today I'll just order the pizza and if it still has seeds I just won't go back. read more

This restaurant is owned by the same people as Wading River Pizza and carry the same menu and preparation of the meals. Although the name suggests a pizza place this is a genuine full service Italian restaurant with a nice full menu. I am partial to the house salad with house dressing and calamari marinara as well as the veal parm. My daughter loves the soups and rigatoni mamma mia which really serves as 2 meals for her. The food quality is always spectacular , rivaling restaurants that charge twice the price and service always friendly. I recommend this to anybody who enjoys a good Italian meal. personally I am happy they opened in SB because I used to drive out to Wading River but now I can get the same meal just 10 min away from home read more

Very disappointed in the quality of pizza that I picked up today. Ordered 2 pies and knots for a family dinner and the pizza tasted like it was a day old. The box had someone else's name on it then mine written over. We've gotten pizza from here in the past that wasn't good, then it got better and tonight was the worst. It tasted like it was a day old and cardboard. If don't want to disappoint your company go to a neighboring pizzeria. Completely disappointed with this one. read more

Very consistent traditional Long Island pizzeria. I prefer it over the other pizza places in the Stony Brook area. I've only had the pizza here, so I can't comment on anything else, but the pizza is very good. My son likes their plain pizza. So we usually order a pie that is half plain and half with a topping, like sausage or meatball. Fancy slices like eggplant, chicken francese and chicken Marsala are really good too. We have been going to Stony Brook Pizza for almost four years and have never had an issue. Our go to favorite is the penne ala vodka and the chicken francese. We ordered that tonight. After driving back home for about 25 minutes we were shocked to find out that our favorites had completely changed. I am unsure if the cook has changed since the last time we were there, which was before the pandemic. The penne ala vodka had a very bitter taste. It was barely eatable. On the other hand the chicken francese was very watered down and not as creamy as it usually is. We are very disappointed especially since this was our go to spot when in Stony Brook; we have also driven here many times for 25 minutes (because it used to be that good!!). This is the best thing to happen to pizza in Stony Brook since Cataffo's in the 1990's. They have nailed it! This location has been plagued by mediocre pizza places in the past but has transformed into the best pizza restaurant in the area, and thats a bold statement considering the amount of italian restaurants in the area. I found this gem after Umberto's wouldn't deliver one evening and googled local pizza delivery and saw this location was under new ownership. Pizza was delivered hot, fresh, and at a great price. This is my family's new go-to pizza parlor. I can't wait to try other items on the menu. There are 2 negative aspects.... 1. the additional 20 pounds I will gain over the next 12 months, and 2. The fact their menu isn't available online. You wont regret it. read more

We ordered a catering package from here for Christmas Eve, including Gorgonzola salad, stuffed mushrooms, teriyaki beef, penne alla vodka, eggplant rollatini, chicken Parmesan, and garlic knots. Altogether, the food was delicious and very reasonable in price. The stuffed mushrooms, particularly, were a huge hit and we should have ordered a full tray instead of a half! The food was ready just a bit later than we expected, but on the holiday that's understandable and when we picked up the food, everyone in the restaurant was extremely pleasant and helpful with putting it into the car. It made our Christmas Eve much easier and yummier than it otherwise would have been, thank you! read more
