(Added another star for that) General food was okay nothing special but one thing that was not the best was the ribs and corn (the ribs were cold and not warm or ANYTHING, it seemed that it was microwaved as well as the corn and french fries, I also had the chicken pattie it smelled as if it was bought breaded and not made from scratch it also was microwaved. ( did not add stars for that) Food seemed overpriced for what it was. The staff was really nice actually no problems with staff at all. The waitresses even asked if I needed anything extra (which they should in general) added a star for that. If you want to eat some where where you are really hungry I don't recommend due to it being overpriced and not made well.

They were able to seat our party with some rearranging of tables. The host that led us to our seats warned us that it was a busy night and apologized in advance for the service being slow. It was nice of him to do so but it was actually quite reasonable! Their menu featured many Irish themed dishes. I don't think it was just for St Patty's Day so you get to enjoy it anytime. The Irish stew sounded pretty irresistible and it was! It came plated very stylishly, more than I would have expected for a pub! The stew was very hearty with LOTS of meat and carrots, potatoes, and onions cooked to perfection. There was also a large puff pastry that was served on the side. This was seasoned generously and a wonderful accompaniment. I thought it was pretty unique addition. My boyfriend ordered the Shepherd's Pie. This was another modern plated dish. The pie filling could be seen quite well as there was only a swirl of potatoes in the middle, kind of like whipped cream on a dessert which was not exactly as expected. It was also a much smaller portion than my entree so he wound up eating some of mine. The service really wasn't bad at all! Drinks and food were received in a timely manner and we were offered refills too. When it came time to pay for the cheque, they were willing to let us each pay separate which was no small feat for a table of 7 and was much appreciated by us.

To top it off our food was swarmed by two bees and a fly who just would not leave. (My mom and I are both very allergic to bee stings.) It was outrageous and I never saw anything like it. We tried to accommodate to the unfortunate situation by continuously swatting them away and attempting to move but the bees would just not go away. It was obvious they were extremely attracted to something in this dish maybe the sauce. The restauruant needs to address this issue because how can you have these bees on the rooftop be so attracted to the food that you provide ruining the experience for the customer. We ultimately decided to leave the restaurant.

I really enjoyed the acidic sweet bite enhancing the sweetness of the oysters. The Ahi Dragon Noodle Salad had microgreens, red cabbage, red and green and yellow sweet pepper, red chili pepper, edamame, coriander, green onions, and fried parsnip chips. The Ahi was charred on the outside, fresh and meaty. I appreciate that the sesame oil, soy sauce and hint of chili on the perfectly chewy noodles was separate from the veggies. The vegetables had a very clean flavour, but I would have liked something more, maybe a touch of citrus. A glass of good wine rounded out the whole experience. I was way too full at the end of the meal to even contemplate dessert. All in all, a great meal, and I would return any time.
