I have now been there twice in the past few months. First time we went food was great. Shrimp scampi and shrimp tacos and both dishes were delicious. Second time was the opposite. Crab Mac and cheese should just be called Mac and cheese with a tablespoon of crab meat on top. Salmon special said it was supposed to come with Brussels sprouts and instead it came with soggy old overcooked asparagus. In addition, the side of rice was crunchy. When asked for new rice. Waitress was nice and gave us more rice... still crunchy and undercooked. The only positive thing I can say is the staff are very professional, but that's not enough to give more than one star. read more

I had the shrimp tacos. The cheese was burned, black, and crumbled to the touch. They were not eatable. I complained and the server took them away and brought me another round of tacos, this time without the cheese. My wife ordered the French dip sandwich. The meat was so overcooked. It was dry, stringy, and tasteless. She picked out some of the less cooked meat but left about 3/4 on the plate. There were a few positives. The French fries were very good. And our server was very polite, apologetic and attentive. Management did give us a $50 gift card which paid most of the bill since I know we won't be going back anytime soon. read more

Food is horrible, ordered one of the specials of the day a Watermelon Salad with other fruit. One little piece of watermelon about the size of a thumbnail and the Blackberries and Raspberries were all mushy and clearly past the expiration date. Just awful. Ambiance is great but the facility is not maintained. Outdoor area is dirty with stained cement and walls with black mold all over them. Adjacent flower beds are weed infested and void of mulch. This place is in dire need of power washing. Could be a great place if cared for and run better. Owners beware! No crowd. Not remotely busy. Seated immediately. Waitress took drink order. Waited 20 minutes to take food order. Apparently she was busy talking with staff behind the bar just gossiping. Yes, we were within hearing distance. The soda was awful. She said "oh yeah, people have been telling us that for weeks, I'll bring you another one from other machine". Still tasted horrible. The water also tasted "dirty" Could not believe it took her 20 minutes to ask, "are you ready to order?" Got my son's order wrong. My husband's dressing for wings tasted disgusting and my hamburger was equally disgusting. Will point out that before we ordered, she informed us that a lot of food on menu wasn't really available because "they had been having problems" Once food finally arrived (another 20+ minute wait) - Waitress never once stopped to check on us. Hard to eat a gross meal without a drink. And of course with soda machine not working properly and water tasting dirty, we had no choice but to eat without drinks unless we wanted alcohol - which we didn't. It was a special day for us. Should have left since it was taking so long for her to take our order (she didn't have any other tables) Waitress didn't ask if we wanted dessert- had planned on ordering the volcano. To make everything worse, she automatically gave herself a 22% tip. All my kids used to work in food industry. In fact, one of them used to work there. We always tip generously but in this situation- she barely deserved 10% tip. And our son, a former server, agreed. She stood there while my husband paid bill. The lowest he could change tip to easily was 20%, otherwise it was a process to select "custom" and too awkward with her eyeing my husband as he was adjusting tip. I was craving one of their hamburgers - and was quite tired and really needed a Coke. Left utterly defeated. Will absolutely never go back. Worst restaurant experience in my life. read more

The ambience of this place is great, especially on a lovely afternoon outdoors. But the food is virtually in edible. The food was delivered with so much salt. I wanted to return it, but I couldn't find the waitress because service was so bad chicken.fajitas actually were pepper and onion fajitas with a couple of salty pieces of chicken. I'm local to the place so spoke with friends who have gone there and everyone's experience was the same why can't they just get a good chef and make some decent food? We came to the Stoner Grill for a team dinner, while playing in a college soccer showcase in Lancaster. First off the place is awesome. There are big rooms and an old farmhouse feel. We were in town from SC to take my college aged nephew out to dinner. We had a puppy with us so I needed to find a pet friendly restaurant. I saw the Stoner Grille listed on Yelp and it looked very nice with a good menu. We were so happy we went there. The wait staff were very friendly and we had asked for the outdoor heaters to be lit. They were out of propane and they got more to light them. They were all so accommodating and the food was delicious. read more

Great place for a party! The service was top notch and the food was delicious. We had my retirement party here for 35-40 people and it was cozy and comfortable for everyone. The charcuterie platter was enormous and filled with Pancetta, many cheeses, fresh fruit, and summer sausage with crackers of all shapes and sizes. The brisket was tender, and pulled chicken was perfect. The macaroni and cheese was spectacular! One compassionate thing our server did was to bring out nice plastic to go containers with lids for our team to load up on what remained to take some home. We had excellent care and service the entire night. Lots of draft beer to pick from and they had a few good bourbon selections. We all really enjoyed the night here. Try it you'll like it! read more

We live less than a mile away and have given Stoner a chance a few times over the 5 years we've lived here. Each time it's more and more disappointing. This time, we spent $87 (before tip) for two people. Shrimp tacos, chicken piccata, two small appetizers, and one mixed drink ($7, which is a great price!). The chicken piccata was flavorless. The shrimp tacos were mediocre. The cheesesteak eggrolls were dry. The pretzel bites with beer cheese was decent. Service was good. Food came out quick. Atmosphere was loud, as it usually is there. We were seated next to a large table full of young boys. This didn't bother us much but the waitress did ask if we were comfortable and wanted to move. We want to love it at Stoner since we live so close and it's such a unique setting, but we cannot justify spending almost $100 for such mediocre food. read more

I want to love this place. I enjoy the outdoor bar, mini golf, and trivia on Wednesdays. The bartender at the outdoor bar is amazing. But the actual table service and food is not good at all. Food in general I would give a 3/10. I'd previously ordered the watermelon chicken salad, and the watermelon came with a huge sticker grilled to it and was soggy. The quesadilla and tacos come with cheese skirts but they are terrible and extremely greasy, I would not recommend. The only saving grace has been the flatbreads which aren't terrible. Prices are way too expensive for the quality too. I've been three times for trivia recently and have gone to the bar for my own drinks because service rarely checks in with the table. I've given the restaurant many chances, thinking service is slow because it's understaffed or crowded, but no - every week it's the same slow unattentive deal. It's so unfortunate. I hope this changes because this place has so much potential! read more

Decided to tried this place for the first time on Friday night. The food is delicious. We ordered a Korean Burger with fried egg and kimchi, and a Hawaiian Burger, they were cooked perfectly. The cheese steak is delicious as well. We ordered an Orange Crush and Peach Mule for the drinks. We sat by the bar outside, the bartender/server did a great job with the service. We have a Meet Up group that meets monthly for dinner, drinks and any entertainment. We made a reservation for 14 people at Stoners Grill in Lancaster PA. We chose that venue because they advertised Tuesday night happy hour Tacos and at 6 PM Karaoke. We arrived at 5:30 and ordered drinks, and tacos. We were given the menu and noticed it was much smaller than before. The drinks came out but, after twenty minutes, no food. We asked to see the regular menu and were told they now have a smaller menu because they're so busy. We were also told that our group had to be put on a single check. Some of our members wanted a separate check so they could use their credit card. The waitress said it's their policy for "large groups" She did, however, come back and said she would do separate checks, but it was against their policy. . We ordered our meal, but still no tacos. At 6:30 we asked about our tacos. We were told they were being "Plated now". We also asked about the karaoke that had been advertised and where told they're not going to have it tonight. The fact that we had chose this restaurant because of the Karaoke didn't seem to matter. Finally at 7:00 the tacos arrived along with our order. The tacos were ICE COLD, as were the menu items we had ordered. The waitress was apologetic and blamed things on being busy. Note, there were about 35 patrons counting our 14. Some of the group stayed and ate their cold food, several simply left, including myself. I give this place 6 months before they lose their customers and finally get down to where they can handle the business, or lack there of. read more

When I arrived, I waited at least 5 minutes for a bartender to take my order, and the bartender seemed annoyed. Canned drinks are reasonably priced. My family and I came here this past weekend to try something new, which I found via OpenTable. It was in a beautiful setting, which was setback in a secluded area. There was a driving range, a mini golf course, and a barn where they conduct events. Upon arriving, there's a huge parking lot. I would give it a 3.5. The staff was incredibly friendly and we were quickly seated upon our reservation time. They had live music in the main room. We were sat in a booth that was spacious. However, there was a table about 1-1.5 ft. away making it a bit difficult to get out of our booth, especially because there were people sitting there. The server was super nice and did a great job answering all of our questions since we had never been there before. We ordered drinks, which came quickly! However... our major issue was that it was in a plastic cup. Felt very cheap and just wasn't the best impression. We ordered the wings and Brussels to start. The wings were excellent and cooked perfectly. I loved the Brussel sprouts and the lemon vinaigrette that they were tossed in. However, there was no "shaved" Parmesan on them. Even still, they had great flavor. We each got a cup of the chowder and it was fantastic! It had excellent flavor and came out hot. The boys loved their kids meals and the portions were bigger than most kids meals. The fish and chips was awful. The breading was bland and just didn't love the texture. It also wasn't cooked all the way so we opted to not eat it. We upgraded to the truffle fries and they were some of the worst truffle fries I've ever had. Very oily and just lacked flavor. Overall, I would come back and try some more items on their menu. I think the prices were good given the portions we received. This place is hit or miss for me. I've been here more times than I can count and you never know what you're going to get. The patio and casual ambiance is what brings me back. The location is perfect - accessible within about 20 minutes from just about anywhere in Lancaster. Plenty of outside seating and waiting areas, the garage door opens to bring the outside in and you can even mini golf while you wait. Often times on the weekends they have live music. This was my first visit back since COVID and I was actually surprised at how much the menu had changed. The salad options have been paired down and the entrees were much more elevated and the prices have increased. Despite that, the Tuna Tataki Flatbread was probably the best meal I've ever eaten here! Different than there usual bar food and very well executed. The tuna tasted fresh, perfectly rare, the soy ginger glaze added just a taste of sweetness cut by the pickled shallot and wasabi creme fraiche. My one suggestion, which has been the one constant, I wish the craft beer menu was more robust. read more

I have eaten here about 5 times over the past 4 years. Different experiences but overall positive. I recommend this restaurant for business meetings and date nights. They have a great outside seating area. I recommend making a reservation during peak dining hours. My recent visit was during COVID-19 and we had to order takeout off their limited menu. Pricing seems a little high but that is to be expected right now and the quantity and quality of the food is worth it. I really enjoy their salads. I was not a fan of their flatbread when I ordered it 3 years ago - crust was burnt and to thin. Drinks are great and I liked their chocolate martini for dessert. Great happy hour venue in the summer with fire pits and lounge areas. The mini golf course is so much fun. read more

We really love the setting and ambiance of the Stoner Grille. Unfortunately the food and drinks and service have been terrible each time we visited. Final straw was "taco Tuesday " but the tacos were worse than school lunch. We added guacamole and chips but received a bowl of potato chips and no guacamole. We ordered sour cream and extra shredded cheese which came out about 20 minutes after the tacos. The restaurant was empty when we arrived for happy hour at 4:35. the server acted overwhelmed and didn't seem to care about his poor service at all. The beers were skunky and undrinkable. Margaritas on the rocks were served in martini glasses instead of rocks glasses. Bartender tapped our first beer and then it sat on the bar getting flat for over 10 minutes. Then on our bill, he tried charging us for the guac, sour cream and cheese. What? We will continue to visit the park but not the Stoner Grille. read more

We've been here for happy hour the past two Tuesdays, and have really enjoyed it. Ate on the patio last week and inside this week. The half-price drinks can't be beat and the happy hour menu has some good choices. The sausage flatbread is really tender, which I liked, and the chicken sliders were tasty. The berry salad, which is not on the happy hour menu is worth the price with plenty of berries and goat cheese and almonds. Yum. The best thing about this place is the service and the atmosphere. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu (thank you Star!). If you eat outside it feels like a big backyard with the fountain from mini golf and all the greenery. It's very relaxing. Inside is interesting with the original stone walls exposed and the big glass garage doors giving a great view of the patio and beyond. Was there last night and our bartender was less than attentive. No coasters even thought were clearly visible. Ordered an appetizer and it came with no silverware or napkins. Had to ask for those. The app was the cheesesteak rolls which was the highlight. For an entree we ordered the fish and chips special. There were 3 tiny pieces of fish that were was overcooked. No homemade romulade was delivered and again no silverware and napkins. Had to wait for the bartender to show up to get that. She never checked with us to see if everything was okay. It wasn't even busy at this point as my husband and I were the only ones at the bar. Menu has changed so much and not for the good. Probably will not go back for quite awhile. I was visiting my sister in Lititz and we decided to try out the Stoner Grille. What a lovely surprise! We were both very impressed with the food we ordered (Brussel Sprouts and grilled Ceasar Salad with chicken), just YUM!!! Five stars also go to the venue and ambiance, very enjoyable and made for an enjoyable Sunday afternoon. And, how could we forget Thomas, our server, who was just so helpful, attentive, and had such a pleasant way about him. Another score!!! We would not change our five-star rating but I would be remiss in saying my only slight disappointment was that our lovely lavender beverage (with a sprig of homegrown lavender for garnish!) which was delicious, was in a plastic cup. On future visits we will request a glass vessel which I'm sure based on everything else about Stoner Grille they would certainly accommodate. We will be back!!! read more

I am giving the place a 2 due to the great band that they booked, the perfect weather, generally positive ambiance and the company we kept. As for the food and service, D and C-. The soup, corn & crab was so heavily seasoned it was unfinishable, the fish tacos had a smidgen of fish in them and the entire meal took forever. When it finally arrived, it was tepid to cold. We had been here a few times pre-covid and it was always solid. If we go back it will be for the music and libations. Maybe they will get their mojo back, but they definitely have misplaced it.
