I've been in and out of multiple ERS and I was skeptical of payson because of experiences years prior. However, they must have gotten new staff or management because this was a much better experience. I forgot my doctor's name which I will try to add to the review later. However, they were in the room right away, made sure to listen to my concerns and explained why things are the way they are. Very understanding and not judgmental. Was in and out of the hospital in two hours and feeling out of pain right now hours later. I appreciate this hospital and hope each and everyone who took care of me sees this and you have a blessed day.

Cirque Lodge advertises itself as a dual diagnosis treatment facility. Our family member was…read moreadmitted with a written prior diagnosis for a serious mental health disorder and was not seen by a psychiatrist for the first 50 days of his stay. We were told that the medical staff who are PRNs and therapists, not psychiatrists, did not "see signs" of moodiness and the family member was not reporting symptoms. It was only when the family contacted DHHS was the patient seen by a psychiatrist and prescribed his needed medication. Ironically, one of the reasons our family member developed substance abuse issues is because he had gone off his medication and was self medicating with drugs. So, if mental health issues are a concern, this is not the right place. Additionally, we had almost no support from his therapist. We went 3 weeks without return phone calls and contact with our family was limited to a specific date and time with zero flexibility. It felt like the family involvement was limited to family week which they heavily promote instead of 1:1 check-ins. For $800 per day it felt like a 12 step program in a nice facility. My advice is if you need to send your family member to Cirque Lodge, get the expectations in writing. Their website is purposely vague and for $800 per day it should not be unreasonable to expect weekly calls for updates and the patient to be seen by a medical professional if they have a pre-existing condition. I can only imagine how much more difficult it would be for families who suspect a mental health issue. I would also interview the therapist who will be working with your family member. Ours was awful. We also contacted Cirque Lodge with a formal complaint and request for refund for missed time with the right treatment plan. They declined our request. For our family, it's less about the money and it is more about the shocking lack of mental health awareness. As I asked one of the Cirque leaders "If a patient was admitted with a diagnosis of diabetes would you withhold their insulin until they had a blood sugar crash?" I don't know how it's any different. Fortunately, we have our family member in a better facility now and he is getting the treatment he needs. We are redoing the first 90 days which comes at great expense in both time and money. If you have similar circumstances, I hope our story helps you.

I was very angry at the HIGH…read morepressure, to the level of bullying of the woman who INSISTED, no DEMANDED that we pay our insurance out of pocket up front before surgery. My insurance company has told me that my obligation to pay is on the remainder amount AFTER it has been submitted and the insurance company has paid the negotiated, contracted amount. NOT to pay up front. I told your clerk this and she refused to hear it. She would not allow my surgery to begin until she had received 50% payment and a payment plan set up and signed. I felt pressured and very bullied! All while in a very vulnerable situation. I was nervous for my procedure and in a HOSPITAL GOWN. Is this how you run your business?!?!?!? I just got off the phone with my insurance company (DMBA), and they confirmed that I was not obligated to pay upfront. IT IS A NEGOTIATED ITEM WITH THE INSURANCE COMPANY that I am responsible for my out-of-pocket max AFTER the insurance has paid. YOU BROKE CONTRACT with this behaviour. Nursing and medical staff were wonderful but sadly Billing department overshadowed everything else positive and I will not be having any other procedures here again.

I was particularly impressed by how respectful staff are to the vets. It's a tremendous comfort to know such a nice place exists for my Dad. The CNAs are mostly wonderful, as well as the care coordinator, but they haven't been able to keep a director for more than a few months at a time. They're short staffed with CNAs. The food is terrible- my old coworker sent me a photo of their dinner the other day which was a piece of bread, canned corn, and sweet potatoes (maybe?).
