My daughter and I were very attracted to Maple Mountain Recovery and Wellness from their website…read more The integration of functional medicine was very appealing especially since my daughter has previously had mental health inpatient treatment. After several intake discussions via phone with Kris, an admissions counselor at Maple Mountain Recovery and Wellness, my daughter decided to admit to Maple Mountain Recovery and Wellness. I paid the $2200 bed deposit based on the information received during these phone calls. Within 24 hours of paying this deposit, my daughter and I travelled across the country expecting her to admit to a detox house for 3-5 days. Detox was required because of a drug she was prescribed by her psychiatrist for many years. My daughter is suffering from mental health issues. She does not have a substance abuse problem. When we arrived, and before any other information was obtained , the detox requirement changed to 5-7 days. We decided to tour Maple Mountain Recovery and Wellness before admitting to detox. While Kris from admissions was very personable, he gave us false information during our initial phone calls. He stated on these phone calls that during my daughter's stay at Maple Mountain her therapist would be physically present with her during ketamine treatment. When we toured the facility Kris told us that the therapist would see her 24 hours after therapy. Having experience in mental health treatment, this was a major setback for my daughter. Also during the tour it was discovered that male and female sections are loosely separated. Again, a major issue. We were mislead prior to the scheduled admission and decided to not admit. We didn't have a level of trust or comfortable feeling about the level of care promised. I requested a refund of my "non refundable" deposit based on the fact that we were mislead. I spent more than $2000 in last minute travel to admit to this facility which couldn't provide the services promised. While I believe Kris supported my request for refund, ownership denied my request for refund of the bed deposit. If you or a loved one are considering admission to this facility please know that it is not a facility that will do the right thing, it is very loosely run and doesn't have established therapy protocols. I speak from experience because unfortunately this would have been my daughter's fifth admission to an inpatient facility. Please be sure to tour this facility and ask very specific questions and even then know they will not do as promised nor do the right thing!! Side note: there was at least 4 open female beds at the time of our tour. Our bed deposit didn't keep anyone from admitting to their facility!!

This place is truly an amazing space for healing and love. I've gone to psych hospitals before and…read morehad a traumatic experience there. Maple Mountain however is amazing! Every worker here truly cares about you. They ask usually about everyday how each person is doing (normally in a group setting) and always are asking how they can help. They do multiple fun or enlightening activities a week such as making candles, sweat lodges, salt caves etc. If you need help with something as well, they will help you. I needed to move out of my apartment and a worker drove me there and we spent 6 hours packing. You're not a prisoner here. They don't set an unrealistic timetable on your healing. They only help. If there's anything I would potentially warn people about it would be this; they don't force you to do anything at all. Seriously, not anything. So if right now you need someone to force you out of bed, tell you to leave your room, or make you take some medications, then you're out of luck. You need to be a certain level of independent before you come. This place changed my life for the better and saved it. Thank you to all the people who work here

I have been seeing Dr. Harris for my ADHD for almost two years now. I prefer to see a DO…read morepsychiatrist over a MD psychiatrist because they are much more patient oriented versus "med-management." What I mean by this is that my med-management appointments don't just feel like a necessary formality, they feel more like a therapy session. Dr. Harris always asks me insightful questions and we have an engaging conversation about my life and my ADHD each time I meet with him. He takes the time to discuss my life in a way that truly evaluates the efficacy of my medication and my overall well-being. He remembers little details about my life and takes interest in all areas of my life, not just those impacted by my ADHD, which I greatly appreciate. I feel seen as a whole person by Dr. Harris, and not just as a diagnosis. If you're struggling with ADHD Dr. Harris is an excellent choice! Before COVID I would commute from Sugar House to see Dr. Harris, and will continue to do so if insurance ever decides to stop virtual appointments. A few additional details about his practice: 1. He is an approved provider through Intermountain Healthcare; 2. He accepts SelectHealth; 3. He accepts credit cards; and 4. He offers a sliding-scale for uninsured patients. Obviously things can change so you should confirm these details with Dr. Harris and your insurance provider, but I know that these details can be helpful in determining whether or not to even pick up the phone so I am including them.

Multiple times he would call or go in and explain he didn't feel okay while being open and honest about the specifics. She claimed he didn't need a mood stabilizer, that he only needed better coping mechanisms. After many attempts of trying to get her to listen to him, he eventually had to go to the hospital to get some help because he couldn't take it anymore. She was unwilling to listen to his cries for help regarding potentially taking his own life even due to not being on the right medication. Turns out after struggling for many years, all he needed was a mood stabilizer, and was properly diagnosed with bipolar type 1 disorder. He's a completely different person now, no thanks to her. I'm thankful he went somewhere else, and was able to get his life back on track and didn't end up dead.

We found the sleep disorder unit on the 2nd floor easily. Check in was easy breezy as I did the required registration process online prior. Waited roughly 10 min before being called back. Nurse asked a bunch of questions and then Dr. Staheli came in. He also asked a bunch of questions before agreeing to do the sleep study. After speaking with the doc he walked us to Ms. Jackie. Not sure if she was having a bad day, but she was rude and seemed bothered by doing a job and made us walk back up front to reception to get our insurance card scanned. The sweet gals told me they were so sorry that she made us walk back to the front and what an inconvenience when it could have been handled by Ms. Jackie. They scanned my card. Sent me back to Ms. Jackie, and then Ms. Jackie has the nerve to ask me to pull out my insurance card to verify the info! What?! After verifying the info matched she rudely told me a few dates that we could do the sleep study. I chose a date. She then told me I had to be back on a specific date fir the follow up with results. When I asked if my child needed to be present she said yes very rudely. I said well that date was her first day of school and I wouldn't let her miss it. She gave me the next date and said if you don't take this date you won't get your results for another 2 months after. Uh, ok, then give me the next date, she wrote it in a business card handed it to me and said expect a phone call from the sleep clinic a day before and don't be late. She turned back to her desk and we left, I do not look forward to dealing with her again, and I hope on our follow up I don't have to!!!

I am incredibly angry with Revere Health. My experience observing my wife getting a scan there…read moreconsisted of people in their early 20s lost, confused, and overworked trying to do more than they were able to. Whoever runs this place should be ashamed and embarrassed. They then ran the wrong test resulting in a false negative so my wife's ailment remained untreated trying to figure out another solution. Then they charged the wrong insurance and refused to back down that they could've possibly been wrong resulting in us paying a large sum of money for the scan. Again, I don't recall seeing anybody there who was over the age of 24. At a medical facility. They then were unable to admit that they charged the wrong place so we had to pay for the wrong test because, again, they messed up. Stay away from here. If a doctor recommends you here, say no. You're better off poking yourself with a knife. Did I mention that the 22-year-old-girlypop-would-be-phlebotomist poked my wife with the needle 8 times because she wouldn't believe my wife when she said her veins were too small for a regular IV? Or that I had to remind the 23-year-old nurse aid or assistant Provo bro what he forms he had and hadn't filled out and what questions he had and hadn't asked? Or that rather than trying to help us with their mistake charging the wrong insurance they just badgered my wife incessantly until she had to get her lawyer father to step in while they figured all this stuff out? Seriously, these people don't deserve even the microbial respect automatically assigned to an entity when scrolling past it online.
