I took my daughter Shorty to be seen and they turned me away to come back later. Shorty was seen by them 2 weeks prior for an ear infection so when she was lethargic I thought it was best I go asap. Long story short I went to another vet who had availability', waiting until the next day when I had an appt w stoncrest was not an option because my dog was dying . STONE CREST IS CHARGING ME AN 80$ fee for a drop off appt. ABSOLUTELY CRIMINAL TO CHARGE AN 80$ appt fee FOR A DROP OFF FEE THST I MISSED . Shorty went to HEAVEN ! STONECREST IS CHARGING ME 80$ fee for missed appt . Shorty is in heaven can't make appointment! I need a refund. Rude, mean, verbally abusive, and no reply they ignore me . Over and over . Why is Stonecrest and the huge private equity company NVA.com that actually owns this clinic able to keep getting my YELP and Google review removed. They don't like the horrible and sadly true story about my beautiful 8 mo yellow female Lab that went in for a routine Spay and died in the process. Obviously they are are not admitting fault. I called this vet because I found 3 baby mice in a bag on a sticky trap suffering . I didn't know what to do and without hesitation they kindly took the mice and humanely took care of them. Been taking my pets here for around 20 years. Received a call at 7am this morning. Thankfully, no one was maimed or injured. No, my house wasn't on fire. Back to the call, it must be important, because who else would call this early without any prior permission? Is it my advisor letting me know the Monday market is worse than expected and I need to start reallocating NOW or risk not retiring? Nope. It's Cathy, the woman who can do no wrong. For you see, when you ask Cathy if it's legal to call someone at 7am with no prior written agreement, she will not say sorry! No, Cathy's business is open at 7am (it's not), so that's when Cathy will be making calls. See Cathy isn't just up with basic human decency or time-delayed voicemails - just not Cathy's cup of tea. Was Cathy calling me to change the appointment or something that required any level or urgency? No, Cathy decided that the internet just isn't able to support her request. It must be impossible to send an e-mail containing new patient paperwork when someone makes an appointment for puppy vaccinations. So she must call you directly! Well Cathy (I'm spelling it with a C because if I try with a K I just keep writing Karen) _you_ are the reason I will never be returning. 20 years and all it takes is 1 Cathy to sour you for life. read more

Stonecrest is amazing! I just took my Yorkshire Terrier in for some dental work. Some of his baby teeth and never fallen out, he needed to have a molar extracted and desperately needed his teeth cleaned. I had put this off for a couple of years because he is so small and I worried about him going under anesthesia. No need to worry! They took such great care of him. Kept him warm and comfy until I picked him up. He was a little out of it all day but today he is his normal rambunctious self! Thank you Dr. Blazer. read more

Dr. Collette Conway had taken care of my dogs when she worked at Banfield on the Westside. Although I had a Banfield wellness plan, when she left Banfield, she was the only one I trusted to put my dog under and do the surgery. While at Banfield, my shepherd mix got a condition where layers of her eye were separate and a bubble formed. I took her to a different Banfield clinic where there was a vet who was supposedly a "specialist" in this surgery... He was supposed to score the entire eye and that would cause the layers to reattach. But he clearly only scored the section where there was a problem... because the other half of the eye ended up with a bubble. (Serious eye rolling) Like I was going to go back and spend a few hundred more for him to f*it up again. This is where my review for the Banfield at 59th Ave and Northern comes in handy. Dr. Conway listened to my concerns about that doctor and my unwillingness to take my dog back there. She didn't defend him (the other doctor) or invalidate me. Instead... We spent the next (2?) months with me going in once a week with both my dogs. One would hang out and the other would lie down on a blanket. Dr. Conway would manually debride the eye with a cotton swab. Since I was going in so frequently, in the end, it was me and her without the vet tech. Both dogs would chill and we'd chat while she ran the cotton swabs over her eye. Weeks passed and, eventually, the matter resolved under her care. I had the Banfield Wellness Plan and it cost me... ZERO dollars because the office visits were free. She was the best and didn't push any extras on me at all. She knew my financial limitations and my determination to not let those limitations keep my animal from getting the best care. So, when Nikki needed a splenectomy, I took her to Dr. Conway. At the time, there wasn't a replacement Doctor at the Banfield that I trusted yet. She did a great job - took a lot of care to check the other organs for potential problems before closing her up. After all the time we'd spent together, she loved and appreciated my dog as her own. I trusted her with her life. When I called her later on, she was excited to tell me the biopsies were cancer free... It broke my heart to tell her Nikki had passed. (It turns out dogs are sensitive to something called a "serotonin storm" and a mix of tramadol and Sam-e (for her liver) had led to a sudden overdose of seratonin in her brain.) She was really the only one at the clinic who knew Nikki. Even so, the card the staff at Stonecrest wrote was the only one of comfort. (Banfield's was impersonal and perfunctory and the vet where she'd had her ultrasound was horrible.) Not only did they send a very personal card, but they donated to the zoo in her name. I am forever grateful for her care and love for my girl and it's a shame she's not on the West side any longer. If I was anywhere closer to her, I would definitely use her as my primary vet. read more

We are so fortunate to have found Stonecrest. Our Tibetan Terrier who had mild sneezing and a minor cough on a Friday began coughing nonstop and vomiting in the middle of the night. Stonecrest got us in on a Saturday as our regular vet was closed. They put at ease right away and were very generous with their time explaining what to expect as our pup had kennel cough despite having been vaccinated for Bordatella. From beginning to end, our experience was wonderful and our puppy is already showing improvement with the directions and medications provided. Thank you so much! read more

First time ever going to a vet for my own animal. I have a 2 Year's old tabby cat named Lucy. She is so sweet and cute but isn't like normal cats. She only likes being pet by feet instead of hands. I know she's weird but that's why I love her! The two doctors instantly grabbed her by her neck and flipped her over to look for her spay scar. They weren't gentle at all and she freaked out. She started hissing at them because I'm pretty sure whatever they were doing was hurting her. She started shedding all her fur because she was so scared. The doctors for some reason got very frightened and threatened to put her down within the first 5 minutes. Again she only Hissed. The next time the same doctor tried grabbing her again and Lucy got scared of course. She tried swiping the doctors hand away with her paw and the doctor immediately ended the appointment and told me they won't go any further unless she is sedated. After that Lucy was fine, she was roaming around on the ground rubbing up on the assistant doctor trying to have her pet her. The main doctor still was scared and kept running away from Lucy even though Lucy was just checking out the room and rubbing her head on their legs as if she was being pet on the head. It's just ridiculous and then they still made me pay $65 for her examination even though didn't examine anything. I'm pissed. Also tried saying they have never seen her color fur before and it looks more like a wild animal color. Obviously she is a tabby cat. read more

Great place!!! My 4 dogs love everybody here!!! Will do whatever they can to best accommodate you and your pet(s). I always get a pretty extensive pre- treatment plan verbally and written and same goes for post- treatment- so I really never am surprised with balance when I leave. They have always called me back to make sure "the boys" are doing OK and if I have any questions. Most of all they off mer a great treatment/service plan for your pet(s) if you are interested. They no longer have any veterinarian on the premises. You will need to wait until someone is there. I couldn't schedule an echo for my dog as there is no veterinary medical director on site. Prior to this everything worked well but during this transition do not buy any Paw Plans as they can't guarantee the services. read more

We've been bringing our dog here for medical care for almost 4 years. The staff is kind, caring and professional. Dr. Warley offers various treatment options and suggestions to us and calls to checkup on how our senior dog is doing. I think that their pricing is fair and they offer online specials on their website. It's a friendly and clean environment and my normally anxious dog doesn't mind walking right in. My fur baby hasn't been feeling well. So i was nervous bringing him in. The ladies behind the front desk greeted us right away and were very polite. The vet was very friendly and very thorough with the information. I felt that everyone there had a genuine love for the animals. My fur babies names were even on the welcome board. Hi! This place rocks! My dogs are cared for, the Vets and staff are amazing! Casey loves it there, as everyone is always happy to see her, and since the world revolves around her, its a winner every time. lol I've had to put one of my fur babies down here and felt love and caring all the way through the horrible experience. I've read the reviews below and whilst they might charge a little more, my piece of mind and the care of my animals cancels out a few extra dollars hands down. I've been taking my "kids" here for years. They are just the nicest people! The facility is clean and very well managed. I love both the office staff and DVM's. I've used their boarding service on an emergent last minute basis and they were wonderful. We brought our dog here that was currently pregnant and Dr Blazer did an amazing job with her and her exam, then brought the puppies back to have her dock the tails, which again, did an amazing job! The only issue I have with this clinic is they are super expensive, they charge for every little thing. I was going to bring the litter in to have their first shots done (all together in one visit), but they are charging me the $59 office visit X 10! Really? $590 just for that? plus the charging of shots and they charge an office visit of $59 + $600 to spay? There comes a time where waiving the office visit should be validated. read more

I'm not a client here. I reached out to this facility in hopes of finding this stray dogs owner. Hannah was more than willing to help. She called and called and kept at it. She went above and beyond her normal duties as her regular clients were coming in. Eventually, her tenacity paid off. We were able to locate the owner and reunite her with her dog. I ws so relieved. I took my little girl there this morning . chihuahua. I was rushing to get something done for her , dental . The staff were very pleasant and very attentive to mine and my little girls needs. Dr. Blazer was very professional , and as i have dealt with veterenarians on a horse ranch before , i appreciated her frankness and her candor. We've been receiving excellent care for our 4-legged babies since 1998 and Dr. Blazer is wonderful!

To sum it up, complete waste of time and money. I made a last minute appointment here as my regular vet was booked for the next few days and needed my dog's eye tail to be seen asap--his eyes were bloodshot and could barely be opened, and he had an open wound at the end of his tail. My vet suggested Stonecrest as it was their "sister clinic" and just down the street. I paid $50 for a corneal stain and another $50 for an ear cytology (I did not come in for anything ear-related, but they suggested his ear could be irritated/infected so of course I agreed). The stain revealed he had a cut in his eye, and I was sent home with ear wash and an ointment for his tail. The next morning, his eyes were 10 times worse to the point that discharge was coming out and he could not open them at all. Worried, I immediately took him to the emergency clinic near my house since it was Sunday and one of the only places open. They saw him right away and without any tests, informed me he had a corneal ulcer and provided me with an auto-serum that cleared him up in less than a week. Stonecrest called me to follow up on Monday, and I informed them of what had happened at the emergency clinic. I explained that the emergency vet noticed his ulcer right away and then I asked why they didn't see this with their corneal stain. Stonecrest explained it was "the same thing", yet they didn't do anything to treat it? Instead, I paid almost $200 for unnecessary tests and ear wash. In fact, I paid less for the emergency clinic visit than I did at Stonecrest. One week later, I took my dog back to his regular veterinarian where he did another corneal stain at no charge and informed me that his eyes were healing wonderfully from the auto-serum that the emergency vet had provided and that his ears were perfectly fine (I never used the wash). He also added that I should not have been given the ointment for the tail, as it had steroids in it and could actually slow the healing process. read more

This place is very expensive, and will absolutely not help anyone with financial trouble. I could only afford minimal treatment for my dog, and the doctor made feel like a terrible owner just because I couldn't afford all the stuff they wanted to do, (which I'm not sure all of it was even necessary), and the charges were high for every little thing. I think they care more about how much money they bring in than the animals. I would NEVER go back or recommend this place to anyone! read more

I take my two puppies : shetland sheepdog and cairn terrier/poodle mix whenever we go away for a few days or need to get some shots. they are reliable, easy going and get right to the point. i love when doctors dont sugar coat things, act like you are child. great place i would recommend it to any families in the area. thanks guys! read more

The staff at stonecrest and dr Conway were genuinely concerned about the care of my bull terrier. She was very ill due to swallowing foreign material. It's been my experience that some vets just want to make the most money they can out of people's pets and do not provide the best treatment options but this was NOT the case with stonecrest. Everyone was very helpful on all levels and my dog is doing EXCELLENT only a day later. They went above and beyond and called to follow up on how my dog was doing. Thank you stonecrest!! read more

It is so true that you are only as good as your last interaction with a client. We have taken our dogs to Stonecrest for over 20 years and always been happy and satisfied. We had previously had to say goodbye to our family dog and had a wonderful experience with Dr. and staff who explained everything and put our minds at ease. Three weeks ago we had to say goodbye to our Pug, Mikey. It was an absolute nightmare!!! I won't go into all the detail other than to say I called the office two days later and let them know that this particular DMV should NEVER put another animal down. I was told that someone would be calling me but I never received a call. Used this vet for years for my dog, went there with my very sick cat. They said he had no temp, blood work fine and wasn't dehydrated. Took him to a different vet next day, had a temp, was very dehydrated, had pancreatitis that they saw from stone crests blood work and he had a fatty liver. I had to put my cat to sleep today.
