Although they do not allow smoking in the rooms, smoking is allowed on the porch outside of each room. If you are smoke sensitive you need to be aware of this smoking policy. We stayed two nights. Check-in was easy enough although our greeting was not unfriendly it did not set a comfortable tone. A basket of fruit, granola bars & mini muffins were left in our room for the second morning but I was not told if there was a basket for the first morning of our stay. A coffee maker is available in the room. Noise levels here are not bad considering the motel is located downtown with restaurants nearby although late arrivals can be noisy. They have several motorcycle guests here.

There is a nice front porch where you can sit and drink coffee and watch the hummingbirds come and go all morning. A back deck is available, as well. The sitting room is spacious and comfortable. Check out the original glass in the sun room! We stayed in the bridal suite and enjoyed a perfectly sized room with 1/2 bath within that space. So much is within walking distance...church, restaurants, shops. If we're in Murphy again, we will stay here.

Adjacent to highway. Not far from downtown (7-8 min). Fast food and Wal-Mart and Walgreens across the street. If you need to stay in a hotel in Murphy, you don't have all that many options and this is probably the best you'll get. Again, very standard "ok" hotel property, just don't expect to be wowed by the property or the staff.

Was in a wheelchair and asked for a later checkout as it took me more time to pack up. Young man at front desk said "I'll give you thirty minutes". Not helpful. And the way he said it! So rude! Ice machines are ALWAYS broken on the floor you are on. Now WHY is that? Because they DON'T CARE! These people don't care and it shows. I hope Murphy gets a decent hotel very soon, as this one STINKS. The breakfast service is NOT ADA accessible. A GUEST helped me while two young men sat with their FEET UP in the back office staring at me. I couldn't even make a damned waffle! No fruit left out during the day for guests as in ALL OTHER Hilton properties. And the employees scarf up the cookies left out for the guests at night - wander around with them and eat them right at the front desk in front of guests checking in. Does the owner not know what is going on? Or does he/she not give a hoot? Seems to be the latter with the coldness and rudeness of many of the younger male staff. Murphy! Check in was easy and the person who checked me in was super friendly. Our room was clean and spacious. There was a mini fridge and microwave in the room. The bathroom had Dove body wash, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers in the shower which I liked better than the tiny bottles since my hair is long and I need a lot of product! The bed was pretty comfy and I liked they had pillows labeled as firm and soft on the pillow cases so you could easily find your preference. If you opt out of daily cleanings/towel changes/sheet changes, you get a point bonus which we opted to do since we were only there a couple nights. The only downfall was noise carried a bit through the door and walls. I could hear kids running around in the hall and TVs on a couple of times, but it was never enough to prevent me from falling asleep or wake me too early so not a big deal. They have complimentary breakfast, but I'm a late sleeper and not a big breakfast eater so I never checked out the offerings. Coffee was available in the room. Overall, we had a good stay here at a good price and I'd book this hotel again when visiting the area.

Then my wife and I went back down for coffee , and my wife just told her again what we found. Evidently she was new cause then she accused my wife as being aggressive. Im 70 she's 73 we have stayed at IHG for 15 years and was never treated like this. Asked to talk to the manager and once on the phone she never ever responded to our claims or offered an apology. We reported this to corporate and are still waiting for a call of apology from Murphy. Never will stop in Murphy at all.

However, the price was ridiculous. Two nights at $341! Unreal! I've stayed in hotels way better for much cheaper. We did have two pets but again, we had our pets when we stayed in the better hotels. Next, roaches. The rooms were decent for a quick stay but we did see roaches. For $341for two nights, I better not see any bugs much less roaches.
