Photo of Dishonest Salseman Mustafa Al Amin aka "Moose"

Disappointing Experience at Stonebriar Chevrolet - Lack of Communication and Follow-Through I recently purchased a truck from Stonebriar Chevrolet, working with salesman Mustafa Al Amin, also known as "Moose." Unfortunately, my experience fell well short of the level of professionalism, honesty, and customer service I expected from a dealership of this caliber. Before completing the purchase, I was assured of two specific things: the truck would be delivered with a full tank of diesel, and it would be delivered to me. While I understood that receiving the truck would take approximately two weeks, I was disappointed that I had to be the one contacting the dealership for updates rather than receiving proactive communication. The most frustrating part came when the truck was finally delivered on January 4. Despite the assurance that it would be filled with diesel, the truck arrived with only a quarter tank remaining. When I immediately brought this to Moose's attention, I was told that the dealership did not have a diesel pump. This was surprising, to say the least, and raised questions about why this expectation had been set in the first place. The truck was also supposed to be cleaned before delivery, yet the cleaning was poorly done and did not reflect the care I expected when purchasing a vehicle. What bothered me most was the disconnect between the promises made during the sales process and the actual service provided after the sale. My experience left me feeling that getting me to the dealership and closing the deal took priority over transparency, communication, and keeping commitments. Sales tactics that rely on promises that are not followed through with undermine customer confidence. A dealership's reputation is built on more than the vehicles it sells; it is built on integrity, accountability, and how customers are treated throughout the entire process. I am sharing this experience so prospective buyers understand the importance of getting commitments clearly established and holding the dealership accountable for following through. I expected better from Stonebriar Chevrolet, and I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously. Selling a truck is one thing. Earning a customer's trust is another.

After going to another dealership and leaving dissatisfied and disappointed I called StoneBriar and Brandon answered and I came to see him. He didn't only put me in the vehicle I wanted but also the color! Like that was huge for me! He was so helpful and patient. We closed the deal super late but he didn't rush me and I'm a handful. (:

Final cost INCREASED BY 31.1% TO $19,598 after $3,351 in dealer fees and est. taxes of $1,297.

1/5 I absolutely do…read morenot recommend Fair Lease based on my experience. The entire process was frustrating, unclear, and incredibly unprofessional. The leasing agent I worked with was honestly one of the least communicative people I have ever dealt with. I would respond to her emails or messages and then wait DAYS to receive a response. When I finally did hear back, I still couldn't get clear answers about the actual terms of the approval. I was told that my application had been approved, then asked for a down payment. After that, I was repeatedly told that I needed "more" of a down payment, but no one would clearly explain exactly how much was required or what the actual terms of the approval were. How are you supposed to make an informed financial decision when you can't even get basic information about the deal? What made it even worse was that getting an answer to any of these questions could take days. I work in customer service, so I understand that people get busy and responses aren't always immediate. But communication is one of the most basic parts of doing business, especially when you are dealing with something as significant as financing a vehicle. There is a major difference between being busy and simply failing to communicate with a customer. The entire process felt like a waste of my time. It was poorly communicated, unnecessarily confusing, and left a very bad taste in my mouth regarding Fair Lease as a company. I genuinely hope other customers have a better experience than I did, but based on my experience, I would not recommend Fair Lease.

Poor Management Experience!!!…read more Let me be clear up front: Monica and Tom in the service department are not the problem. They have been professional, responsive, and genuinely trying to help me the entire time. I initially thought I was getting the runaround from them, but I am now 100% confident this management team is failing to support its own service advisors and making two good employees look bad. Here is what nearly two years of that failure looks like. I bought my CT5 on March 7, 2024. In November 2024 I started getting a red OnStar light and a "Service Emergency Calling" warning. On December 3, 2024, it happened again while I was traveling to a national golf tournament. OnStar had me pull over and told me it was a hardware failure, code B178C, meaning the OnStar module needed replacement. I brought the car to Crest Cadillac on December 4, 2024. Monica said the part was ordered. Then nothing. No callbacks. When I returned from traveling later that December, I was told the hardware was ordered and would arrive in 3 business days. I kept calling and stopping by. The work never got done. The part was not officially ordered until April 21, 2025, nearly five months after my first visit. When I finally brought the car in and took a loaner, I was told that part was malfunctioning and they had to order another one. It is now August 4, 2026. Twenty months after my first visit, I have: no hardware, a new check engine light, and a promise that someone will call me back once GM decides whether they will cover the repair, since the car is now out of warranty on mileage. A warranty that was still active when I first reported the problem. Today I had to ask Tom to just order the part without approval so I can finally clear the check engine light and drive with working safety systems. There is no excuse for stretching a safety-related repair across nearly two years and leaving a customer without emergency calling functionality the entire time. RIDICULOUS.

During my visit, I asked to see a vehicle, and she told me that she did not have time to show me a car if I was not purchasing it because she was busy and had more than 20 customers a day. I understand that salespeople can be busy, but I was deeply disappointed by the way I was treated and made to feel as though my time and interest did not matter. After my visit, I contacted a sales manager and explained what happened. I also informed him that I had recorded the interaction and posted the video on TikTok of my experience. The following day, Tawnny contacted me directly. She got my information from the system or Paperwork that she told me she had shredded when I asked for it. She stated in the text that she was young, makes mistakes, and is not perfect. She then respectfully asked me to remove the video and told me that she wanted to "prevent this from escalating any further." I found that statement concerning and felt uncomfortable receiving that message after I had simply shared my personal experience. What was even more disappointing was later seeing a customer post a video making statements about me that were not true, which I believe was encouraged by Tawnny. I also became aware of social media posts where customer appointment information appeared to be shared publicly without their permission. I have documented and shared my experience, including my Google review and the original video, to provide context and support the facts surrounding what happened. I am deeply hurt and disappointed that what should have been a simple experience of looking at a vehicle turned into an experience where I felt disrespected, dismissed, and uncomfortable. I believe every customer deserves to be treated with basic courtesy and respect, regardless of whether they decide to purchase a vehicle that day.

We kept in touch with our sales guy Alex and he would let us know if any new vehicles arrived with the same specifications that we were looking for. About a month later, we saw the same vehicle we test drove still available so we decided to outreach about the initial vehicle. Needless to say, we've joined the Toyota Family :) After visiting different dealerships and working with some questionable sales guys, Alex made our purchase effortless. Alex is professional to work with, kind, and very responsive. Alex never pressured us into buying anything and communicated well throughout the process. There was a few hiccups but overall the process wasn't too bad. We appreciated that the vehicle was serviced and cleaned while completing the paperwork. Everyone was nice that we came into contact with, from the sales people to the finance managers but Alex is the true VIP, he gave us wonderful customer service. We will recommend Alex to others looking to buy a car. Our experience here has been great, we will most likely return with others and get our maintenance done here (when that time comes).

I looked up Toyota's official maintenance schedule and found that these two tasks were not required at my car's current mileage. My car didn't accumulate enough millage for these tasks. Of course I declined them. I would recommend that anyone who brings their car here for maintenance look at Toyota's official maintenance schedule first, so you don't have to pay for services too early.
