I highly recommend Pioneer Sand in Broomfield for your hardscaping needs; they don't want to just…read moresell you their product, they go out of their way to help you, and with a smile. Specifically, Mark (at the front desk) and Robert (bull dozer driver in the yard) were extremely helpful to me on multiple occasions. During my first visit to look at pavers, I mentioned to Mark that I was trying to figure out how to lay a paver walkway with a curve in it, without making any cuts, and I hadn't seen any examples from Googling it. When I called the next day to ask a question about pavers, Mark answered it and then told me he had been thinking about my project and had an idea to help make that curve. I stopped by the following day and Mark went out of his way to demonstrate how to assemble the curve (see photo below). Instead of getting materials (road base, cement sand, and breeze) delivered at the end of my long driveway, I made many visits to shovel car loads of ~12 buckets (about 650 lbs each carload), sometimes as many as four times in a day. Robert (who's in his 70's by the way) stopped every time he saw me to help shovel and load the car. Mark also helped load a few times when he was available to leave the front desk. Also a few others helped here and there (another driver and a 'yard boy'). I didn't expect that, as I chose to shovel instead of paying for delivery. I never could have gotten as much done as quickly as I did without everyone's help, as I was usually quite fatigued by the 3rd trip and struggled to lift the buckets high enough to place into my Subaru.

Great place to pick up landscaping materials. I did my yard with their materials and was asked if I…read morewas a professional landscaper a few times :-) . Every time I am in there they are always very helpful!

TL/DR: you're better off at big box stores or Marketplace/Craigslist. It literally hurts me to…read morewrite this review. This review is for the material reuse sales part of the business. It used to be a reliable place to get any type of building supplies at decent used quality for a "this has definitely been used" price. Now it's wildly overpriced. This review is almost more for me to remember to stop driving down to Boulder to try shopping here. Example: selling the 15gal barrels they receive their deicing salt in for winter - for $15. Barrels seem to be priced at $1/gal now, even when they're deformed or broken. So expect to pay $5 for a 5-gal bucket, $35 for a 35gal can and $50 for a 55gal. Saw $45 for a utility sink made of the same cheap plastic as Walmart Adirondack chairs - not the older, indestructible molded utility sink type. Bent and broken rakes and shovels for $5-20. It's just wild. Pieces of pallets are priced as though they're new stock lumber, and they don't even list the lumber prices anymore (were they to have any, which they didn't)... with the way everything else is priced, there's no way I'll even bother checking. At this point it's cheaper and more reliable to buy new from Home Depot which is beside the point of this place and it sucks!! The quality of used goods did not improve in the past 2 years, so why the price tripled is beyond me, but it's not worth it. Bye, Resource Central. I really loved you while you were affordable. Thankfully Habitat ReStore still has their head on straight.
