Gross excuse for bar food. Poor layout and design. Service is unnecessarily slow and inattentive.

Good food, nice selection of beers and the service was good when I was there. The tenderloin sandwich was on special and was recommended by my waitress. was one of the best steak sandwiches I have ever eaten. Looks like a great place to watch sports too with plenty of large tvs behind the bar and on the walls. I would definitely recommend. read more

This is a BIG bar which makes a good place to bring a group of people. There's also a dining room area which is good if you want a quiter place to eat. There's a good number of selections on the menu of various sandwiches, salads, burgers and entrees and it's fairly cheap compared to most other bars. The last time I was there I had the buffalo chicken wrap and it had some great kick to it, as I was statrting to sweat. I am kind of a wimp when it comes to spicy stuff, yet I still like eating it. The only weird thing was a buddy and I sat at the bar and wanted to get food and drinks. When we wanted to order food the bartender told us to wait as he was going to get a server. It wasn't a big deal, I but don't understand why a bartender couldn't take our food order. It's not that hard to write down an order. read more

I had an awesome salmon salad that they recently added. The menu is extensive for a sports bar. I lost weight just walking in the place.

With the attitude of the servers AND the owner, it's amazing they are still in business. Clearly a "job" for them and not something they enjoy doing. Several people complaining about the poor service and food last night. One nice bartender and he was great; he should be running the place. The girls were slow and bitchy including the owner. I actually had a total stranger hand me money and say "when one of those lazy bartenders decide to come down to this end, get me a Bud Light"! No joke! Time to shape up and lose the attitude. Just because your business is floating on Lent season fish fries, doesn't mean you should let the remainder of the year suffer with slacking service. read more

The atmosphere is exactly what it should be, a great place to enjoy your favorite sports. Wait staff 5 stars. Very pleasant and quick. Food .. not so much! I had a grilled sandwich that had a really awful "other food" flavor to it. It tasted like the grill hasn't been cleaned in a very long time. I ate 2 bites and still have that awful taste in my mouth. I give the food less than 1 Star. Overall a good place to hang out but I don't think I will ever eat there again. read more

Was disappointed when I went to watch the NCAA tournament and all but the 4 tables near the bathroom with 1 TV were the only non reserved tables. The waitress constantly said to sit anywhere we wanted. But that would have been a very undesirable day. We even arrived 15 minutes before the first game. read more

We ate here on 12.27.13. I got an Angus burger with everything on. The burger was very greasy and I got charged 0.50 for the Lettuce, 0.50 for the Tomato and 0.50 for the cheese. My 6.99 Angus burger ended up to cost 8.49 including the grease. The waitress / Nicole did ask us how everything was once. I will not be returning for seconds. read more

We tried to go here tonight to have dinner and stay for a bit to watch the Badgers play in the Final Four. Two hours before game time, all the tables on one side were reserved and empty; the other side was reserved for a party. Since there was no available seating, we left for another, more welcoming place to eat and watch the game. As we watched three other cars drive away, we wondered if the owners considered their lost revenue when reserving tables. read more

Waited 15 minut5 for bartender to wait on us. Waited an hour and 10 minutes for food after ordering!!! Manager said that was normal!!! YICKS! I stopped for the Sunday chicken dinner. Food was good as always, however the service was below average. I ordered immediately after I was seated. I didn't receive my ice water until well after customers seated after me ordered from menus and received their beverages. Upon having to wave and request it, it was delivered. When my dinner arrived, it was not what was ordered but was corrected immediately. Again, near the end of my meal, I waited and finally got the hostess' attention for a refill of ice water as my food cooled. I was there at the end of the day with few other patrons still seated. However, it's not acceptable to receive this poor service while the employees bus the tables and clean up for the day. read more

the menu is catered to well extremely old people who like bland, greasy, mushy food. the burgers and pizza are ok the later better than the former, wait staff is good drinks are good, clean restrooms but you cant get anything other than fish on Fridays, the sunday chicken is well suck-tacular. if you like your food from a can or box then this is for you but as a restaurant this is just your stander Wisconsin dinner. read more

Horrible food and horrible service. First and last time ever going. The waitress (who took 15 minutes just to greet us) was extremely rude and snotty to me. I got the crispy chicken sandwich, it was extremely spicy, and when I told the waitress I couldn't eat it because of the spice, she went and got the menu and decided to argue with me that it clearly states in the menu that it was spicy. That would of been a great point, but I ordered off a piece of white paper with the specials on it and on that white piece of paper it did not state that it was spicy. I asked her if the drinks were free refills and she said yes but you only get one so I told my daughters they could each get a drink. One got Sprite and the other lemonade. When refill time came she then informed me that the lemonade wasn't a free refill, considering that I made it a point to ask about refills you would think maybe she would have mentioned that. My mom ordered the 6oz tenderloin sandwich, worst sandwich I've ever tasted. It was a piece of over cooked meat on a bun. No flavor, seasoning, or sauce. This was the worst dinning experience I have ever had. And when I told the manager about it, his words were "well she was busy." Never going back again read more

I used to go here every weekend and thought that the food was decent and the service was awesome (we had the same, very friendly waitress every week for our group). The last time I went with my group, we had a different waitress who was very rude. My friend, who was 20 at the time, was going to be our designated driver, however, since the dining room was closed, she was told she was not allowed to sit with us where we were near the pool tables. We had all planned on eating, and she would have ordered a soda or water and stayed with us, but the waitress insisted that she had to leave because she was not at least 21. The kitchen was not closed yet (it was 9pm), however, she insisted that it was Stone Toad's policy in the rudest possible way. She also said that she would have asked her manager, but proceeded to look over her shoulder, then look at us and say, "But I don't know where she is." I regret not asking her to please do so anyway. In the end half of our group left to go have dinner elsewhere. None of us will be returning. If this is your policy, it is rather ridiculous, especially when paying customers are trying to be responsible and your kitchen is still open. read more
