If you've never been there before, it was a little confusing to figure out if a waitress would come to your table or if you had to go the bar to order. After waiting a solid 10 minutes, we flagged down a waitress and it just seems that they had an internal miscommunication about which waitress was in charge of our table. The wait for our Bloody Mary's was about 30 minutes and they said the wait for food was about 45 minutes, as they were busy. The Ultimate Bloody Mary was worth the wait and it was out of this world! We shared the garnishes and loved the slider on top! I had a chicken wrap for lunch, though the burger on my drink was so good, I think I will try a burger next time. Once they realized we were going to be respectful of their place and their folks, they welcomed us! The food really is good, especially for the money. It's one of those rare inexpensive places left in this country, where a pretzel appetizer easily feeds a family of four! LOL! I wish there weren't just two of us, because we also ordered boneless wings and cheese curds! Everything was hot and fresh, and it all tasted great. The drinks were large, inexpensive, and cold. No complaints at all. The service was also really wonderful, with friendly staff and very efficient servers. Like I said, nobody gave us a lot of grief for being from out of town. But, we could tell right away, this was a "local spot" and for a very good reason. Locals and regulars definitely make up the customer base, but they keep coming back for all the other reasons provided: good food, good drinks, and very reasonable prices. Example: I offered to buy a beverage for a very nice person who was incredibly helpful to us, specifically in arranging our spots on the shuttle bus. She was drinking a rail Old Fashioned. You know what that cost me? $3.50. That's not a South Park reference. That was what I paid for a rail cocktail! Anyway... if I'm ever in Appleton again, I'm stopping by. Full bar and bartenders that are friendly and are good at giving suggestions on what to drink or try. We've also played a many dice and bar games with them for shots. Great place to be for Packer games and all sports. They usually have some specials for the games as well as daily/weekly specials in the kitchen. My favorite is when they do crab Rangoon pizza! The other option I always order when here is a variation of different wings that they make. They have a full pool table, a dart machine, and a nice side small patio outside. The bathrooms are very small and cramped, but usually pretty clean. Unlike many other dive bars in this town, this one everyone is and does feel welcome here with the friendly service and atmosphere of the regular customers.
