I was a little nervous when I saw their ratings, but we had a silestone countertop put in and they did an amazing job. They were neat and professional. There was a small tiny chip on the surface and they came out promptly and repaired it and you couldn't tell it was even there. They also get back to you quickly with a response if you have a question and they get the install done quickly. They're measuring also was exact and the top fit perfectly against any imperfections in the wall. I would definitely use them again. read more

The worst experience ever! We are surprised Costco even uses Stone Systems as a vendor!! The sales person lied saying they could duplicate exactly what we had, and it's not even close. The first countertops had to be torn out because of bad measurements, poor workmanship(installers were hacks), and scratches in the countertops. Their best Measure Tech(Nate)came out for the second go round on the countertops and mis-measured so we had to have a third countertop installed. Then, it took three tries on the backsplash, and it is still not right. Plus, the window ledge is 1/2 inch uneven. It's funny, they say their "#1 goal is extremely satisfied customers" and I still haven't received a call back from the customer service manager, Brent Anderson. We just want our money back! Save yourself a headache, and do not get countertops through Costco or Stone Systems!!! read more

The good news: The installers were great. I am glad our work was done correctly and quickly. The bad news: Stone Systems' "customer service" deserves zero stars. Unclear why Lowe's would use this company as their third party installers. My husband and I were essentially yelled at, spoken over, and lied to on the phone by three separate folks after unintentionally overhearing their side conversation about a snafu on THEIR part because the first woman forgot to put us on hold. The topline: - We received multiple, in-writing communications that our installation window was from 8a-12p. No one contacted us on the day of our install. We had a plumber remove our plumbing in the kitchen yesterday and completely upended our kitchen, based on our agreement with the man who measured in order to prepare for installation. We have two small children and scheduled around their school time for the easiest convenience. We payed thousands of dollars for materials from Lowe's plus a hefty installation fee. - My husband called Stone Systems for a status update around 11:30a. The woman he spoke to was immediately rude and combattive, and forgot to put us on hold. She then spoke to someone in their office and said aloud that the crew who was supposed to come to our house first, accidentally swapped their appointments around and went to the 1-5p appointment during our installation time. She came back on the phone and said there was nothing she could do and essentially hung up on him with no conclusions. - I called back from my phone and spoke to a very angry, little man who talked over me for the duration of our conversation. He wanted to know what I wanted out of the phone call...are you baffled yet? We wanted a status update and an acknowledgement of the mistake. He said there was no mistake and then very sarcastically said "I'M VERY SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS." I asked if there were alternative crews he could pull to come to our house sooner and he said "NO, WE DON'T HAVE PEOPLE JUST SITTING AROUND WHO CAN POP BY YOUR HOUSE." - The manager, Kelly, finally got on the phone, and was also combative and rude from the jump. She told me verbatim that they never quoted us an 8-12 window, it was always 8-5. That is simply not true, and I have receipts. When I asked for a bit of a break on the install we paid for, she proceeded to tell me that we are not Stone System's customer. Their customer is Lowes. I told her it was blatantly clear that we are not her customer by the exchanges we've had today, and hung up the phone and called Lowes, who immediately rectified the situation for us immediately, no questions asked, no attitudes given. In an economy where people are spending far less money on things like cosmetic upgrades, I'd sure be careful who is interfacing with PAYING customers on behalf of my business. Word of mouth spreads, and Lowes confirmed they've had several big complaints about Stone Systems and would be dealing with them accordingly. I hope that means finding a new third party installer who will treat their customers with more care. Embarrassing. read more

love my new kitchen countertop and backsplash.It looks great. Good quality product. However my kitchen wood floor was ruined during the installation process. The installers partially covered the floor by a canvas, but there were many open spots which now contain numerous scratches and dents from them walking on debris and dropping hammers and wonder bars on the floor. when I contacted the company they responded by saying their installers said the marks and scratches were there before they did the install. (definitely not true) Despite the that I love my countertops, I would not recommend doing business with them. read more

Horrible company!! We purchased our granite through home depot and they use this company for install. We have a 12" overhang at the island for seating and when you come up from the basement you can see the mesh and red writing! We had to go to Home Depot to complain bc all correspondence ie emails from Stone Source doesn't provide any contact info or a way to respond. I finally got a call from someone and she insisted you don't polish the underneath. I know this isn't true but they sent a tech out to remove the red writing. Also when the installers tried carrying the island piece up our front steps they broke a large chunk of our cedar step off! They won't do anything about it, they don't care! I strongly suggest you don't use this company or buy through Home Depot!! Oh and when I've tried calling the number off their website or the number that the lady called me on, no one answers or it just disconnect! read more

I order a countertop through Costco and Stone Systems was the 3rd party company they use. They were quick come out and sell me a counter top but it was all down hill from there. My order date was in the middle of April and my final install after 5 attempts was in the middle of August. The first time they installed, the sink cut out did not match the sink, they installed it anyway. The second time they came out there was a 3/4 gap to the wall. The third time they came out the new peace they seemed in didn't match. Again the installer was going to just install it until I pointed out that it didn't match. At this point I was trying to talk to their mangers which almost imposable. They assured be it would be corrected. The next install they was suppose to be in the morning and they ended up calling at 8pm saying they were on their way. The next install the sink install was wrong again and the broke my gas line for my stove. Finally they came and did the install correctly but then wiped my screen on my stove with acetone and bubbled it. I could could not make up how bad this company is to deal with. STAY AWAY. Please read the reviews on this company. They are horrific to work with and produce poor quality work. Do not order countertops through Home Depot until they stop contracting with stone systems and perfection plumbing. They never produced a final invoice despite multiple requests. They charged $7 more per square foot than Home Depot initially quoted. The mis measured in nearly all locations. They charged me by the square foot, but were seen cutting off several square feet worth of unnecessary material that I was certainly charged for. The countertop is chipped and scratched in several places. They mis- measured the sink, which has left me without a functioning sink for 9 days and counting. Upon producing a new quartz slab with proper sink cutouts, they claimed to be unable to finish the installation of the garbage disposal due to the location of the waste line. This is something that should have been caught weeks prior during measurement. To this day day I am without a functioning sink despite the fact that all appliances (sink, garbage disposal) were measured and approved during measurement. They waste line needs to be lowered by 2 inches, and they refuse to do the work or contract a carpenter to move the line. I paid for a finished product and they (along with perfection plumbing) are refusing to finish the job because it's more invasive than originally anticipated. (Even though all parts were approved in advance.) DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY. read more

All phases of the project were great from the measuring, scheduling, communications, quality of work and especially the installation. The three person team did an amazing job. I asked why I wasn't called and who the supervisor was since I have his voicemail saying it was being redone. he back peddled and told me cracks aren't covered since it wasn't broke when they installed it and they'll do nothing. This company is terrible. I would never recommend them to anyone. We ordered quartz through Home Depot and a measure tech came out a week later. A week after that the installers came and tore out my old countertop. Then they told me they could not install the new countertop because the sink was different than they thought. They had every piece of information about the sink but couldn't make the cut. They came back a second time to measure after making us install the sink without the counter. The install team returned and DID NOT HAVE THE UPDATED DRAWING. So the install team made measurements and cut the sink hole on site. Then during install they kicked my new sink and cracked it. Once the sink piece was fit properly they tried to fit the corner price and it was the wrong size. They never apologized for cracking the sink, they just laughed about it. By this time it had been 5 weeks since we had our first measure tech visit. They ran out of material and had to order more and then cut the last piece. Overall it took around 9 weeks to get our countertops. We got a partial refund in the end. Overall the install teams do not care about your home. They were rude and seemed uncomfortable doing the jobs required of them. They replaced the sink but the install team never apologized. They even laughed when they came to pick up the sink they cracked. HOME DEPOT NEEDS TO GET A NEW THIRD PARTY. read more

Would not recommend this place. Bad customer service, poor workmanship and disappointed with their professionalism in owning up to the mess-ups. We tried to resolve our issues with them directly, but they never returned our calls. When we filed a complain with the BBB, they even failed to respond. Here are the issues: 1) During the demolition, these guys were so rough that they took a large chunk off the cabinet (approximately 5 1/4" wide by 1"). Then when I confronted them, they ignored me until I persisted (3x), they then said that the damage was already there because they could not find the broken piece. I am positive the damage was not there before, we personally refinished these cabinets and I am aware of all details. 2) There was a chip in the Granite at the bottom right corner of the outside cabinet next to the stove. 3) There was also a minor scratch on the same slab as above. I think the scratch could be buffed out but should not be there on installation. 4) There are several gaps where the installers sealed the Granite to the wall, not a big deal, but another indication of sloppy and rushed workmanship. 5) The installers used the same size bit to drill holes for the Faucet and Soap holder, the installers were too lazy to switch to a smaller bit for the soap holder, the hole is so big that it took quite a bit of fidgeting on my part to just BARELY cover the hole with the base of the soap dispenser. The extra space from the large hole increases the chances of water getting into the cabinet area. 6) The installers also chipped the Granite when drilling the hole for the soap dispenser. The chip is near the top edge and I was able to hide it with the base of the soap dispenser. A smaller hole would make such a chip less of an issue, but with the larger hole the chip is difficult to disguise. 7) The hole for the soap dispenser was also drilled too close to the sink so the bottom of the dispenser does not tighten flush against the bottom of the counter, instead it tightens on an angle because it hits the edge of the sink. I was able to rectify this problem with a washer, it looks fine now but we do not have a waterproof seal. If the installers would have put a little more thought into what they were doing this could have been avoided. read more

4 years ago we purchased countertops through lowes and stone systems, we have a 15 year warranty, come to find out its a limited warranty and doesn't cover your granite falling apart.....really? I called them a year and a half ago several times in between and never got a response from them. We have numerous chips in our countertops pieces falling off all along the edges, it's not supposed to happen. Today I called them for the 5 th time and told them I was going to,post everything negative about them on Facebook, Angie's list, and everywhere I could think of. Then they scheduled a service call and charged me 150.00 for that, seriously. Someone needs to do something about these people. read more

They are so bad I would give a 0, but I can't so they get a 1. Inconsistent measuring despite "laser" measurements (like an inch off). Tried to blame house settling and moving, but the house has been here 70 years. Overall fabrication quality is inconsistent with edge profiles (some hand ground which is obvious) that dont match. Hard, if not impossible to get responses from Fidel or the install manager. Lots of run around. Then the corrections to the original problem are a problem, again with hand created edges that don't match the other machined edges. They then go silent with zero contact. If you are updating a rental or a house you don't care about fine, but if you want quality orat least a callback move on and take your business elsewhere. read more

We made an appointment directly with Stone Systems to come back and fix a chip in our newly installed countertop, but they never showed up on the scheduled date(8/18/17), nor did they call to cancel, or to reschedule. We have not heard back from them yet. This is especially frustrating because one of the first countertops they installed was very poorly fabricated and needed to be replaced. When they came to install the new counter top it had some of the same flaws so it was returned to the mill to be refinished. When they returned to install the countertop there was some buffing that needed to be done and there was a chip that needed to be filled. The chip has not been refilled and we have discovered another problem that should have been caught and corrected before it left the fabrication floor. read more

Install was for 10am to 2pm, they showed up at 7;15 pm.I rescheduled and lost another 10 hrs of pay. I called installation Manager for explanation and to tell him not to send the same guys back. Got no explanation and he sent the same guys back. They arrived 45 min late. Countertops didn't fit so they grinded them over my 2 week old resealed driveway leaving a 20 ft sq white stain. Called them about the install over 3 weeks ago but no reply. Find someone else to do your countertops! read more

73 days now and my counter tops aren't installed. Payed in full through Home Depot. The guy who came out and measured, first it took him 6 days to turn in the measurements and then they were wrong. Customer service is so bad they don't even bother to apologize. Truthfully they have a snide I don't care attitude. Monica says she will call you back and never does. This company never once called me, I had to call them every time to get things started. Home Depot has been good about helping me get in contact with these poor business people. I was told it would take about 10 days to get my counters in from the time that they came to my house and did the measurements. Now they are estimating about 3-4 weeks. They obviously do not care that their customers need these to be on time. I guess I'll just have to cancel all the other contractors that are waiting for the counters to come in as well. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. First, if you have to reschedule your countertop measurement for any reason within 48 hours of your appointment, they charge you $200 (I didn't need to do this, but every time they talk to you they remind you over this.). But, if they don't show to your scheduled time slot, they don't compensate you in any way. And you are bumped to the back of the line to get measured. Customer service is horrible! When we finally got measurements completed we were told installation would be 10-14 days later. First delay was because they didn't have our material in stock, which considering we purchased it back in December and had a measurement schedule they should have known it was coming up. Apparently that is "not policy". Well... here we sit 44 days later and we just received a call pushing out our install date due to a COVID outbreak in their facility (15 of their 20 employees). Instead of accepting responsibly for any issues along they way, they blamed others. So now we will not have install completed for 58 days after measurement. And that is assuming we don't get pushed out again and installers show up when they say they will. When I asked how they are going to compensate their customers for this inconvenience, especially since we are well beyond the 10-14 days after measurement, they laughed. I was told "it is out of our control". And while I agree, a COVID outbreak is out of their control, everything else along the way was not. read more

It's time for a good review for this company. It wasn't without issues on my first try at install, however, but Ernesto worked with me to make it right. At first it looked like my quartz was not going to fit, measured wrong? Of course I was upset and frustrated. My installers were gracious and kind and gave me a number to call. They did the demo of my old counters/sink and were able to preserve my existing backsplash, which I can't thank them enough for. Although they were not able to do the job that day, I appreciated their kindness. Kelly was sent to remeasure the same day. She was also very kind. I was called the very next morning with an explanation on the measurements and another crew was sent to do the install that afternoon. I was over the moon relieved. My quartz countertops are beautiful! I can't say enough about how a situation that could have gone much differently was handled with respect, professionalism and skill. I would not hesitate to use Home Depot for your countertop purchase. I thank everyone that was involved in my experience with this company. read more

When I purchased my granite through Lowes, I did so specifically to have the help of a large company behind me if something went wrong. Little did I know that the company they use to purchase and install the granite is a privately owned company. Stone Systems of Mendota Heights did such a horrible, horrible job of installation on the granite of my kitchen. Privately held explains why the customer service is so poor. For our countertop layout, we were given a plan that showed one seam. Two seams were installed and the installers chipped the granite during installation and put in a putty to cover it up and didn't tell us. And, the seam is jagged and it looks like I installed remnants instead of a slab of granite. Save yourself the headache that I have and go elsewhere for your countertops. read more

Lowes uses this company...I am a firm believer in fairness and this company will not own up to its lack of professionalism and mistakes. They do not deserve to be in business. Their so called professional installers are lackeys. We installed a granite countertop from Home Depot in Duluth. They use the bad people from Stone Systems also. First they kept putting off the installation and then did a bad job with the seams, also the counter had a small white dot - the counter was a dark green. We had them come out and the installer than came looked at the seams and said it wasn't a good job. Now 9 months later the seams are breaking away and we have holes where whatever they used for the seam in dropping out and now we have holes in the seams. They were suppose to come out yesterday and one more time they cancelled. Rotten Company! read more
