Like others it was a pleasant first visit but follow up was either slow or non-existent. We waited well more than a week for a simple price quote of some of the appliances we looked at, which came in 25% above our allowance which they were aware of. When I asked for a list of other options for refrigerators I was sent only 3 models and confirmed that was it. However when I looked at the manufacturers' websites there were at least 12 models of similar features in the price range I requested. Do they carry them or not? I have no idea. When I asked if they carried Samsung or LG (since I want to do research on every option) I was told to watch out for "those import models". Is this 1980? Are we not a global economy? Why would an "import" be a problem compared to poor quality domestic products? I don't see how that is even relevant to the decision. I am looking for options to not use Ferguson to provide appliances for our new house. I hope our builder will work with us to do so. They picked a bad partner.

DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen…read more Eleven years ago my downtown Minneapolis condo was whimsically renovated in penny-pinching contractor-grade cabinetry and appliances, so it came as no surprise when with minimal use, the eight-foot long, once faux-white-marble bathroom counter-top developed fungus-like splotches of yellow and brown stains. I could live with this UN-decorative feature if I had to, but then adding injury to insult, spidery black cracks began creeping through my bathroom sink. "You're going to have to replace the sink and counter top," my plumber told me. First I contacted a nationally-known home improvement store that had little interest in my small bathroom project. Every time I called the big box company, someone transferred my call to someone else. I was frustrated. Then one glorious autumn morning, I noticed a DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen truck parked outside my downtown brick residence. I called the number on the side of the truck and was put in touch with Lynn Monson (designer). Within the week Lynn was at my condo and we were selecting counter-tops and faucets. I decided on an Onyx counter-top in Blue Pearl gloss with a blue pearl non-recessed sink bowl, back and side splashes, grab bars and a new shower head. In addition, he arranged for new hinges to be installed on a vanity door that was wobbling like a loose tooth. I was happy to review my proposal for the bath work and surprised that it was less than half the cost of what the large national retail store had proposed. Best of all, no middle-men or transferred phone calls to reach a project coordinator. On the day of the install, two strong guys, Nate and Chris showed up precisely at 8 am with equipment and a pleasant greeting. Nate wearing a blue Norse Track and Field tee-shirt (you know you're in good hands when one of the workers is a Viking descendant). Working as a team, Nate and Chris removed the unsightly faux white counter-top from my bathroom. In the light of day it looked even worse leaving my condo. Clunky, top heavy and discolored. "Good riddance to old rubbish," I said, as Nate and Chris carried the counter-top past me and out into the hall for it's final departure. Then, somewhat heroically, they carried in the sleek new Onyx Blue Pearl gloss counter-top with sink. I cheered them on as they installed the new counter-top; utilizing the industrial shop vacuum they brought with them as they worked. When the job was completed, there was not a speck of dust to be found. I do believe they left my bathroom cleaner than they found it. Sometimes you buy something and the first few days are thrilling. Then the novelty wears off. Not so with my upgraded bathroom: new counter-top, sink, faucet, shower head, grab bars and vanity repair. Now when I begin my morning ritual and water flows mystically from the new pewter faucet falling gently into the deep blue sink, I feel that I am living a scene from the Disney movie Snow White and would not be surprised if chatty little woodland creatures hopped up alongside me on my new blue pearlescent finished counter-top. Everything is super spaced out, and it's not overly clear where things are. I ended up trying to find someone who worked there to ask for help, and it took me a while to locate anyone. The person I did find didn't know the answer, so I had to keep looking. Their stock of what I was looking for - simple hooks - was pretty low, so I had to go to another location. I probably won't come back to this location again, just due to its sheer size and overwhelm.

This location has a great selection of items in all departments. I have shopped here twice now, and overall I have no complaints. Turns out they had what I was looking for and BEYOND! :P I even found the softest premium pet bed for my dog, and she totally loves it! It was so much cuter than most other dog beds in its price range--matches our living room rug (also from BB&B) perfectly! Ok so enough about dog beds...they do have a pretty nice pet department, a great offering of candles/home fragrance, and a plethora of bed, bath, kitchen and dining items. Today we were in search of a decorative bathroom garbage can that looked nice but didn't cost a fortune. Although some of the ones we liked were as much as $40, we found one that will be perfect for $9.99. Since we didn't spend so much on the garbage can, we found a few other items to round out our sale, and we put our coupon to good use! The Minnetonka Bed Bath & Beyond has successfully changed my opinion about the brand. One man had been rear ended and the other employees were too busy to assist customers because let's all go outside and look at his vehicle. I ended up ordering tile on line because my husband and I really liked the one that I had picked out. I would not have purchased anything through this company other than the fact that we really liked the tile and it went with our new remodel. I know that's contradictory by purchasing tile there but I wanted to let other prospective customers know that the service was terrible. When I went to pick up the tile, again the same employees were too busy talking to assist customers. I finally had to say excuse me after watching the rear ended car employee walk away from me after seeing me stand there waiting for help. Just terrible service!!!

The guy was amazingly helpful, knowledgeable, and willing to offer suggestions and tips. When I got my knives back they included a little note with a recipe to test them out and ab"thank you". It was really nice and I didn't know they give a portion of sharpening and class sakes to pay off student lunch debt (which is a ridiculous thing tonhave exist). They hold monthly classes for skills and sharpening as well as custom orders. If you can't make it during the day they have a drop box behind the shop you can put your knives in and they'll text you with updates. I will definitely be coming back for any knife needs.
