This is a place I would go to if my mom didn't want to cook me pho. I got the oxtail pho, which the meat was tender it fell off the bone. I also got the stone pho, which comes with a side of tripe, brisket, meatballs, beef, and tendon. Everything was so tender, especially the brisket! Their pho is enough for 2 people especially the stone pho. I was very happy their broth didn't taste like dish water like other places. Their oyster basil wings were delicious too. They're always busy so service is not always 5/5 stars, but the servers are doing the best and are not rude so please be mindful. I've seen comments of people complaining of the slow service, keep in mind this isn't a 5 star fancy restaurant. It's a small business where the staff is running around and don't even have a break. Just be glad that they're not rude and are actually trying to do their jobs. read more

Broth was pretty good, definitely better than a lot of places in MN. They were very generous with the meat, we barely finished it all. However, there wasn't much noodles and the broth was too oily for my preference. Also, chili oil wasn't spicy and I believe there might be peppercorn in it because it changed the flavor of the broth after putting a few scoops. Went there last night. Space was tight but food and service was good. The gentleman server was great! The lady server was a little rough. We ordered garlic fish sauce chicken wings for appetizer. It came out after one entree came but flavor was there! Good garlic/salty/sweet/fishsauce taste! Bun Bo Hue had good flavor and tons of good quality meat. Had to try the stone pho of course. I believe that you will not find this entree anywhere even in California or Texas. This place was delicious!!! The broth for all the soups were very clean and flavorful. No additional sauces needed. The pho comes with plenty of meat and just the right amount of noodles. Ox tail pho had 4 huge bones! Bun bo hue was perfectly spicy with lots of lemongrass flavor. It also comes with the correct type of vegetable garnishes. Minnesota is home to many southeast Asian restaurants that serves pho. You'd have to come up with a unique presentation as well as have a broth that tastes amazing. This place has both. The stone pho comes out boiling in the pho broth. The noodles and meat came separately and there were ALOT! I ordered the oxtail pho. I've always heard from others that the boiling stone pho takes a long time to stop boiling, but not in my case. As it came in boiling, I started to put my noodles and meat into the bowl, the boiling didn't last too long, but it did last long enough to cook the raw beef. I had to share the stone pho oxtail with my partner because the amount of meat was so much. The meat was amazing. The oxtail meat falls out of the bones. The pho broth tasted fresh and not bland. I did wish there was more noodles. We were almost out of noodles before we were out of meat. However, like I did mention, they were very generous with the meat so it may just be that the noodles were a good amount, but because there was a lot of meat, you could've mistaken the noodles to be less. Nevertheless it feed my partner and I. We did also order the banh mi which tasted good. The wontons also came out hot, crunchy on the outside but warm and soothing on the inside. We were so impressed with the foods and service first 2 visits. The last 2 visits were so disappointed and insulted. My stone pho broth was mud dark and the tendons were hard like rubber. My daughter's bun bo hue was lukewarm but politely ate some. Her uncomfortable face expression made me ask the new waitress to HEAT her BBH bowl. About 10 minutes later we thought they were making a new bowl because of the time it took instead the same bowl came out overheated. No need to say how it tasted. Like many passive Asians we didn't complain out loud assuming the waitress would understand when asked to reheat or the pho meats I discarded aside, no apologies. It's difficult to post such review but the experience left my family bad tastes in our mouths, literally. The long drive in 7 degree snowy evening from Shakopee to celebrate my wife occasion was a bad memory. We will not come here again. read more

As a frame of reference. I am Vietnamese and have been eating Pho since I could remember. So The meat, such as ox tail and beef are tender. But the soup is off and doesn't taste right to me. There is an after taste that I can't get over. The vegetables and presentation are nice. I just got the standard ox tail pho and not the stone pho because I think it's a gimmick. The price is pretty expensive compared to my favorite pho shops. My oxtail pho cost 22 bucks. A standard pho is like 15 bucks. Stone pho is like 35 bucks. Ambiance is very cramped. Tables are very close to each other. They are really cramming you in there. Lastly, they provide every person a bottled water. This is not a plus to me as that is so bad for the environment. Can you imagine, every customer getting a bottled water?! I wish they would Just provide at least paper cups and just carafe of water. Anyways, while the meat is good, the pho is mediocre , space is cramped, and they are not environmentally friendly or even try to be. For these reasons, I don't recommend coming here. read more

We went for dinner around 5pm and there was no wait. We were asked to sit at Table 10 by the cashier. Waters were promptly provided (Costco bottled waters) one per person. Menus were handed and then we ordered shortly. Food came out hot, which I loved. We ordered 2 bowls of pho, cream cheese wontons and spring rolls. I was not a fan of the cream cheese wontons - wraps are really thick and not a lot of cream cheese filling. Spring rolls were freshly made with all the yummy stuff - I really enjoyed them. The pho came with a lot of meat which I appreciated but the tendon was way too big to eat in one bite. Ambiance is updated inside but just basic for a strip mall pho joint. Don't expect an IG photo op. Stone Pho is not my first choice pho joint to-go in Blaine. read more

We order the spring roll (in my opinion one of the best that I had) special fried rice was very delicious, our friends ordered the special Pad Thai was ok but not the greatest, the passion fruit was very very good, my husband ordered the special Pho was ok but we had to ask the server for silverware, and the chicken stir fry for my friend kid came without the rice and we have to ask for it, we all ordered the food at the same time but the food didn't come at the same time. This restaurant does not take credit cards like normal restaurants. They charge a usage fee of 3% or so. This is totally unacceptable in this day and age. Service means putting your customers first. I experienced racism here. My sister and I are both are African American and this was my third time coming here. When we came in the staff offered us a table in the back near the trash can and it was at least 7 flies flying around us. I asked if we can be moved to the open table in the front and he rudly told me no and that I had to sit at the bar. As I'm sitting at the bar an Asian woman and her husband came in and they immediately gave them the table. I then asked why I couldn't get the table and the woman got up and stated she didn't want it to be a problem. Then she went to the bar with her husband. While we both were sitting waiting to order a table became available and they gave it to her even though I was there before her. As we're sitting an Asian woman came in with her Asian friend and we're waiting to be seated. When the next table became available I asked if we could have it and they told me no because it was for her and again I was there before her. She told them she didn't want the table and wanted to sit at the bar with her friend. I asked if we could have the table and they still refused to give me the table. After we were done eating I wanted to file a complaint because of the racial discrimination. They refused to get me a manager and even when I called asking for a manager they continued to hang up in my face and tell me manager wouldn't be in for three days. I promoted their business online and recommended my friends try this restaurant but that will never happen again. They sat my by a garbage can and flies because they don't like black people and will never get another dollar from me. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for months, today was the day. My first time having pho, which already intimated me. I ordered, sat at the window, wasn't even given napkins or ever checked on once. I will say it was delicious. I had a lot leftover because I filled up fast so asked for it to-go. Was given a plastic container for me to pour the large bowl of pho into it I guess at my table. It would've poured all over so I asked them to do it. The lady did not seem happy about this. I just got a feeling like I wasn't wanted there. Just unfriendly is the best way I can explain it. For that I won't be back. Would think they would at least be friendly to new business to keep them coming back. Maybe I did something to piss them off, dunno. We used to give this restaurant five stars, but over the last six months their grilled chicken platter has declined in quality and quantity while the price has increased. The chicken doesn't looked or taste grilled. The portions have been reduced by 30%. We've spoken with their management several times who were gracious and polite. We tried it again recently but there was no improvement. We literally had to grill the chicken at home to reinvigorate the meal. Whoever was their chef before is sorely missed.
