The front office person was very pleasant and helpful, and that part of the experience was great. Unfortunately, the yard crew was difficult to deal with. I accidentally pulled in the exit, apologized, and corrected it, but the employee made a bigger issue out of it than necessary. Then when I picked up my six 2x4x12s, they seemed ready to give me some of the worst boards in the pile. I ended up selecting my own while they stood there staring at me. Better lumber than the big box stores, but the yard customer service needs work.

Good company for highest quality decks and very fun to work with! I would, and do, recommend Craig to anyone that wants a nice deck, not just a filler space. Much, much better than a lot of the decks on most of the new construction I see popping up around town. He designed and constructed a very custom steps and rails system from garage up to the garage door for my disabled mother and added nice extras like grip tape and handrails for extra stability. The level of craftsmanship required was extraordinary, and Steel's absolutely delivered. What truly set them apart was their ability to make the new work look as though it had always been part of the home. The color matching, grain matching, and overall finish were flawless. You genuinely cannot tell where the original floors end and the new work begins. Josh, in particular, was exceptional from start to finish. He managed the project with an attention to detail, aesthetic eye, and commitment to perfection that surpassed every other vendor we worked with throughout our remodel. He cared deeply about getting every detail right and consistently went above and beyond to ensure the final product was exceptional. It's rare these days to find a company that combines true craftsmanship, technical expertise, professionalism, and follow-through at this level. Josh and the Steel's team reminded us that there are still skilled craftsmen out there who take immense pride in doing difficult work the right way. We could not recommend Steel's more highly.

Since I'm a rock collector too, I appreciate the beauty and value of their Onyx and Obsidian decorative boulders. They were delivered and placed in my front yard by Javier yesterday 7/17/25. Javier did an amazing job-- he was considerate of his skid steer fork lift in terms of damaging our grass, plants, sprinkler heads, and lawn. He had me lay quarter inch plywood on the lawn for him to drive over. When it came to a forsythia plant that was right in his path to place one of the boulders behind it, he had me hold the branches upright close to its center so it would fit between his two fork extensions and not be harmed. Then once in place, he tweaked the position of both boulders using one of the fork extensions to push one side of the boulder furrther back, bringing the other side more to the front. It was masterful to watch him do this. As you can see from the attached photo, our Onyx boulders are beautful, adding much to our landscape. Couldn't be happier!!
