FIVE DAYS later with no response emailed them again. Got boilerplate excuse (busy season, miscommunication, blah, blah) saying I'd have a quote by email. I followed up TWO DAYS later, and got a quote with a two page list of conditions, one of which required a 50% deposit with NO COMMITMENT for date(s) the service would be provided. Also they listed credit card as an acceptable payment method but DID NOT reveal that they assessed a 3% service charge (I had to ASK in a separate communication). Cannot comment on quality of the actual service I was requesting because I declined the quotation. If they CANNOT communicate in the quotation stage, how am I supposed to trust them by just GIVING them money in advance and no commitment for the work?

What started as a positive experience was ruined after final installation of my backsplash. Granite Selection had sent over their template for the seams prior to cutting and insisted they were necessary behind my sink and I agreed to the alignment they provided. However the installation was completely off on the veining of the quartz behind my sink and did not match what they showed in the template for approval. I have called 10+ times to have them fix this as my kitchen is small and it does not look right. I have only been able to talk to the business owner Paul once and he has constantly ignored me. Beware - they require a check up front and if you have any issues they will ignore you and happily keep your money. I couldn't be more disappointed in their lack of responsibility and care for a paying customer.

I can't recommend Platinum based on the errors on my recent install…read more 1) No seam tape on joists (or sealing of exposed wood holes after nails were removed). No recommendations or ideas presented. Only to say the tape wasn't included in order. Carpenter suggested I should have purchased tape. I said it wasn't offered. 2) cement step was poured at base of new steps because the new steps didn't align with the tear off staircase. Poor job, cement splash on new deck stairs. Design flaw in new stair layout caused base to become issue. Homeowner cleaned but step at base of new steps looks terrible. 3) casement window NOW blocked from fully opening. I have attempted to get Platinum to correct this flaw on design. Old staircase steps and railing did not interfere w window opening. I did not get the customer service I expected after paying $30k for a new deck surface. Btw their model is to collect $ up front print to acceptance.
