Also, we appreciated Andrew's flexibility to meet us after 5pm, so we did not need to schedule time off from work.

We purchased close to a yard of gravel and a yard of sand and got EXPERT delivery over multiple power and cable lines into our yard (it's a jigsaw puzzle with a crane/forklift) and our delivery guy rocked (haha get it?). Would purchase again but glad this project is over!

Who knew buying rocks would be so hard!…read more We have a landscaped spot in our front yard that uses mulch. Edging keeps the mulch from spreading into the grass and sidewalk, but there are a few spots the edging doesn't reach. Tired of having to sweep it back into the landscaped area or replace missing mulch, I wanted some small-ish rocks. Easy, right? Wrong. I went to Menards expecting to pick up some rocks. Bigger than the ones that you can use in place of mulch, but smaller than stone pavers or boulders. Struck out at Menards, the landscaping place suggested a vendor that requires membership and the other landscaping place didn't sell the right size rocks, so I turned to the Yelps and found Crawford, which is conveniently less than a mile from my house. Walking into the place is a little intimidating. Lots of trucks and small construction vehicles for moving rocks. I popped into the main building and told them what I was looking for and they called someone to help me. We went to a huge bin of rocks, I told him approximately what size I was looking for and how many and he picked some out for me and put them on the scale. 5 rocks at 12lb ran me $1.79! We've debated puting paver stones down in part of our yard. If we decide to do it, I'm coming back here. They're super nice, the prices are fantastic and they have a nice selection. PRO TIP: Wear proper shoes. Flip flops were a bad choice.

Today my first visit to Henry Frerk & sons, was one of the best examples of genuinely friendly, extremely competent and efficient customer service that I had EVER experienced....from ANY type of supplier. Hands down, if you are looking for a great materials yard, particularly for all types of masonry or plaster work, do yourself a favor and make your masonry or plaster restoration project a WHOLE lot easier and better by going to see Elizabeth, Matt or one of the other great staff people there. Not only did Elizabeth seek out and carefully mix an extremely close match to my rare 90 year old grout, her knowledge of the "science" of mortar materials can be the difference between your masonry project last several years or multiple decades. Beyond the scientific expertise in coloration, application and adherence, Elizabeth provided detailed mixing and application instructions for my older lime-based mortar with additional and essential tips to achieve the best possible color and quality project. These instructions were invaluable to my tuckpointer who learned new tips as well from Elizabeth. She also requested the home address so they could keep a record of the grout color should a future owner need to match mortar in the future. What other supplier have you dealt with that would provide this kind of all-around, amazing service? In the world of big-box hardware stores where you can't find a salesperson, much less a knowledgeable expert, it's no surprise that this family-owned business have been in business since 1888. Yeah, that's not a typo. On top of all this, based upon other reviews apparently their prices are very competitive as well. Usually achieving two of the three pillars of a great business transaction (quality, price and service) is typically the best achievable outcome. It is extremely rare to get all three as you do here. Enuf said. Just go there and experience true customer service and value that is SO rare in today's hurried retail climate.

I love this place!!!…read more My wife found this place and I am glad she did. We were able to pick out our granite, put a deposit down, have the guy measure and pick up our under mount sink and install in under 48 hours. Are you kidding me? I was building my man bar and all I needed was a counter. Granite Gallery to the rescue! They had a bunch of granite in stock at there yard. We were able to look through it and we found what we wanted. The best part is that my wife and I agreed on the same stone. We did a little negotiating and we were able to come up with a fair price. We did some hand shaking and ran a credit card for a deposit. The next day the guy showed up to measure...it was Thursday. We were suppose to install on Monday but they called Friday and asked if they could install sooner. No one does that...so I said yes!!! We are so happy we found this company. I wish I had more counters to install. I highly recommend this place based on price and professionalism. In the future I will be coming back here for any counter needs.

This was BY FAR the easiest part of the Great Bathroom Remodel of 2013…read more Sure, I only needed a small slab of granite to put in my bathroom window, but still - if you had any idea how painful this process has been for someone who lacks any design skills whatsoever (e.g., "which SHADE of white do you want?" ....WHITE!!), you would understand how grateful I was to walk into this place, be helped immediately, assisted with the finding the right color/style, etc, placed my order, paid, and out the door in less than 20 minutes....not only would you forgive me for the longest run-on sentence ever in this review, but you would be as over the moon as I was about this place. Seriously. Came in on a Saturday, found granite, determined style of cut, placed order and paid a mere $40. Was told it would be ready by Monday. Fast forward to Monday morning and I'm placing a frantic call trying to catch them before they did any cutting because my contractor requested an extra inch. Boom. Done. No problem. A couple hours later I got a call letting me know it was done. I finally came back the following Saturday for pickup and a) I wasn't charged for the extra inch and b) they insisted on carrying this tiny slab of granite to the car for me. Love! Now, if only the REST of this project was this easy perhaps it wouldn't have taken 8+ months to do...

Caution Advised: Disappointing Experience with ICA Cabinets / L2 Supply Corp - Significant Product…read more& Service Issues I am sharing my experience with ICA Cabinets (also operating as L2 Supply Corp) regarding a kitchen cabinet and quartz countertop project totaling nearly $10,000. The outcome was unsatisfactory due to concerns regarding product quality, communication, and unresolved service issues. All dealings, including payments, paperwork, appointments, stone supplier selection, and material procurement, were handled exclusively through an ICA representative named Leon. The primary concern arose with the "Cemento Gray" kitchen countertop. This countertop exhibits an inconsistent finish, with noticeable variations between shiny and matte areas. Additionally, a persistent sticky residue remains on the surface that has not been removed despite using quartz-approved cleaners. When I inquired about the quartz brand to pursue a warranty claim, ICA informed me they could not identify the manufacturer and stated they suspected it was a generic import without a discernible warranty. ICA sourced the stone from a supplier in Melrose Park. Upon contacting this supplier, I was informed that the inconsistent finish was attributed to errors made by ICA's subcontracted fabricators/installers. However, as all dealings and payments were made directly to ICA, the supplier declined further involvement and advised me to resolve the matter with ICA. ICA refused to accept responsibility or contact their supplier to address the issue. The selection of this stone supplier was made solely by ICA. I repeatedly requested that ICA send their installers back to address the visible flaws on the countertop. I was informed that the installers had already been paid by ICA and would not return. My multiple requests for the installers' contact details eventually yielded only a name, but I could not find a listed phone number or email. Furthermore, ICA failed to document the subcontractors' information on my condo building's official paperwork, despite specific instructions on the forms they completed and signed (photo attached). During the countertop installation, the installers arrived without a professional vacuum for on-site cutting. Both the installers and an ICA representative asked if I could provide one. After an unsuccessful attempt to acquire one from building staff, an ICA representative drove me to Target, where I purchased a small Dirt Devil vacuum at my own expense. I expressed concerns about its adequacy, but was assured it would suffice. It proved ineffective, resulting in dust and debris spreading throughout my newly renovated apartment, including over the new countertops. Following the installation, I discovered that the kitchen sink (purchased through ICA) was damaged, and the countertop had numerous scratches. A week later, a white bathroom countertop (also from ICA) was installed. Upon completion, a large yellow stain was discovered on this countertop. The installers unsuccessfully attempted to remove it and confirmed it would require replacement. ICA did eventually replace the stained bathroom countertop and the damaged kitchen sink. They also buffed out the kitchen countertop scratches using strong solvents. These scratches were identified shortly after installation (marked with blue tape in provided images) and attributed to the ICA subcontracted installers. Regarding the kitchen cabinets, initial appearance was acceptable. However, upon closer inspection, numerous cracks were identified (photos attached). ICA initially stated they would send someone to address these cracks, but subsequently reversed this decision and informed me they would not follow through. My requests to speak with a supervisor or the company owner were repeatedly denied. This situation has resulted in undue stress, wasted time, and unforeseen expenses. I am sharing my detailed experience to assist others in making informed decisions when considering ICA Cabinets / L2 Supply Corp for their home improvement projects.

Davan installed our new quartz countertops on 08/27/2025 after shopping around for several months…read more We ended up selecting quartz countertops from MSI. Some helpful hints based on our experience: 1. A big countertop dealer like MSI, located in Elk Grove Village, has a very large showroom where you can see the full countertop slabs. We had some preferences based on the web site pictures and the little quartz samples, but ended up selecting a different slab once we were in the showroom. You really want to see the full countertop slabs before your decision is finalized. 2. We were really disappointed with the Home Depot service, which is The Countertop Factory - Midwest. There was an extremely hard sell visit to our house and a take-it-or-leave it price. 3. Many quartz countertop installation services want you to select quartz they already have in stock. Davan let us shop around and we selected an MSI countetop, which MSI already had in stock. Our job therefore proceeded quickly from final slab selection to installation (less than two weeks). 4. I was unnecessarily nervous about our kitchen tile backsplash when our old formica countertops were replaced with new quartz countertops. We wanted to retain the old kitchen backsplash. That was not a problem and the installation occurred smoothly.
