He put something on it that he left overnight. When he came back the next day and took the material off, the stain was still there. Then he cleaned the granite and resealed the granite. A few hours later when I returned from an appointment, I was happy to see that my granite was perfect! The stain was completely gone. I am so happy. We were in a bind and needed to have countertops available for the contractor to complete our kitchen in a very short time frame. My wife found DJ Marble through a Google search around 10AM on a Sunday morning and called. She expected to leave a message and was surprised when Derrick answered. She explained the situation and Derrick asked us to meet him at noon at a stone supplier. He took us around and explained each type in great detail. We finally picked the "perfect" quartzite stone only to find out that most of the stock was on hold for another customer. He smiled and said he'd be right back. About 10 minutes later he came back saying "the stone is yours"... the material was delivered to DJ Marble's shop the next day. Derrick came to our house to measure and discuss details that we never considered, offering great insight and knowledge. We met with him 2 days later at his shop to layout the pieces, and with his help, ended up with enough extra material to include a backsplash in the laundry area. Rachel had a quote to me one day after I sent her copies of my kitchen plans, and it was 30% cheaper than the company I was going to use. Peter came out to measure and you could tell right away he knew his stuff. They thought they were going to have to use 2 slabs of material (quartz) because of waste and the size of my freight elevator, but they were able to get it out of one slab and saved me a ton of money! I contacted acorn and informed them I had 6 smaller ledges that I'd like them to do the same ONLY IF they had time. They assured me they did. I went as far as to template exact replicas of each ledge to make it as easy as possible for them. After 10+ follow up emails and countless phone calls over TWO MONTHS, they finally came back to me and told me they couldn't make the cuts (after initially telling me 'they can make ANY cut'); not to mention, it was suddenly going to randomly cost almost $1k!?!?! When I asked how they priced each piece, I couldn't even get a response (which is just pathetic). It was CLEAR this project was unimportant to them and instead of simply stating they didn't have the bandwidth/want the job at the beginning when I asked, decided it better to lead me on. COMPLETELY unprofessional and EXTREMELY horrible customer service/people skills. Keep researching and don't waste your time on acorn.
