Fantastic experience with the Martin Door Company!…read more We just had our entire 27 year old garage door replaced with a significantly upgraded one. New upgraded garage door opener system also installed to replace our existing one. Now is Wi-Fi-enabled and has battery backup. This new system is whisper quiet, and oh so smooth and beautiful. Sales person Jeff Woody is a gem! The installer (Chuck, I think?) was very knowledgeable and professional. The whole process went without a single hitch. Thanks Martin Door!

(little annoying the "remeasure tech" was HOURS late but whatever) Got a call mid February, doors are here, we'll be there 02/24 to install. Again, great, fine. They show up, on time, said they wanted to re-measure to make sure everything was to spec. Um, ok - why wouldn't it be? They ripped off all of my door trim/casing and sat in their trucks for *90 MINUTES* without a word. Came back: "we have a problem". The brickmold is a quarter inch off - the manufacturer (ProVia) has a software problem and even though we gave them the correct measurements... blah blah, whatever. So, wait two weeks to get the corrected brickmold. Fine, stuff happens. 03/05! Called them 03/06. Guess what? STILL WRONG! No apologies, no anything. Wait two more weeks, no biggie, this is the way stuff works. March 20 it is! NOPE! March 16 and get an email that the manufacturers internet is down. No idea what that has to do with anything... how many times can you fail a customer and just tell them to wait two more weeks? Anyway, now I'm scheduled for April! Of what year I have no idea. Pathetic.

After 5 months of having to initiate contact several times per week, our first door came in June...and the next one in July and the last one in August. We were told the painting would be done by Mobile Magic in O Fallon (the auto body paint shop) and he painted them himself - and not very well. It's September of 2023 and we have not seen a window...we paid him another 25% after the last door was installed with the promise that the touch ups to the doors would be completed and that he would drill the door bell holes that he forgot to do the first time he was here...and that our windows were 'on the way'. Nothing. Nada. Zilch Now he suddenly falls off the face of the Earth. He was terrible at responding prior to this, now he is non existent. There was ALWAYS an excuse...he was sick, his truck broke, the wrong door came in, his guys didn't show up - or better yet, he took TWO vacations while we waited for installs. I wouldn't even bother complaining, except my doors have 'lifetime workmanship warranties' and there is no paperwork for our doors, so if something goes south - we have nobody to contact to fix it from the 'company' who installed it. Here is the deal. He is by himself. There is no 'team'. The reviews online that are good are likely from his friends and family. Do business with Patrick at your own risk. If you want to see his work or the catastrophe of text messages and emails from Pat, let me know.

We were very hopeful when we contracted with Pat to do a very tricky window replacement job…read more Polite, on-time, thorough and generally very professional. The job, however, required some cutting which resulted in 25-30 faux stones (on the exterior wall) coming loose from the exterior wall...which also required some additional caulking around the new frames. Because of the unexpected extra work, I paid $300 more, in cash, up-front on Pat's word he would complete the job soon. We waited, and waited, and waited. Promises to return and complete the job were made and not kept. Finally, he told me by text message that he was not qualified to replace the stones and that we would need to get a real masonry person. But he did promise he would finish the caulking. We're still waiting 2+ weeks on and he has kept the extra money and will not reply to my requests to at least finish the caulking...even informing him to forget about repaying the extra money - just finish the caulking! We really liked the other work he did...but clearly he cannot be trusted to complete a job and even lie to protect money he owes a client. We give him two stars max.

We had a very poor experience with another company when researching windows and installation and…read morewere a bit cynical of contacting another business. However, the process of obtaining a quote was indeed as easy as Zen Windows website makes it out to be; check out their website and watch the videos. I completed their form with the number of windows, approximate size and the requirement that the windows must meet a minimum efficiency. A reply was quick and thorough and above all easily understood and answers to questions were immediate. Dennis provided all the information needed should a permit have been required. Once accepted, Kevin came out within a few days to take specific measurements needed for ordering the windows. Within just over a month, we received a call asking if the installation could take place within 48 hours as they had an opening. Ed, Jimmy and Daryl were the installation crew who arrived promptly and you could not ask for a more conscientious and professional team. They seemed to get along and worked well with each other. Care was taken to protect floors and carpet, the installation and operation of the windows was explained, and clean up was meticulous. I had planned to shampoo my carpets after they were finished and Daryl did such a good job of cleaning up the floors I did not have to vacuum first! We had 6 windows replaced and opted for the Endure EN600 series double hung, Energy Star Certified windows. These windows were installed on a warm day in rooms that get the afternoon sun and it was immediately apparent that the sun gain was much lower than the previous windows. The wind is gusting today and there are no drafts! The total cost was a bit above some of the other estimates but after our previous experiences as well as the ease of the ordering process, the personable and professional installers- much less the quality of the windows- it has been well worth it.

Their seasoned installers were very professional, prompt, and respectful of our home. They worked hard to replace our entire two story home in one day before bad weather was supposed to hit the next day. We feel like we got a great product that will last for many decades which also has a great warranty. I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting the best customer service and no pressure sales with a great buying experience.
