The red oak floor was completely stripped. 37 damaged planks were replaced and the match to the 50 year old floor was so good that it was impossible to see the new material. I got a water based varnish on the floor. This requires 3 coats with sanding in between but it was complete in 1 1/2 days. After the floors were finished I had new oak railings installed and they look as though they were installed 50 years ago with the floor. The fact that a crew did not show up on the first start date is not a big deal. When they did get to work this company did a great job that I am proud to show anyone!
