The watermelon cocktails are unhappy hour for nine dollars and are both strong and sweet. I've also had them for dinner as well and they are dangerous! I came for dinner the other night with a friend around 6:30 and we got seated right away in the back. The seats are kind of funny because it seems like we're waiting in cruise ship booths because a lot of them are curved and are staring at other tables. We ended up balling out and getting two watermelon, cocktails, two berry cocktails, the calamari, the tomahawk steak, and brussels sprouts. The top everything off we also got the warm chocolate chip cookie with ice cream on top. It was honestly a delicious meal and we had leftovers for days. To begin with, the customer service here was amazing. Our waiters were great overall although I forgot his name, it was an older gentleman who was training a younger girl, and they both did an excellent job making sure we were taken care of. Moreover, the place was very neat and clean, which is always a big plus for me. It really made the whole experience more comfortable and enjoyable. In addition, the food did not disappoint. The steak I ordered was great tasty, juicy, and full of flavor. I also got a cocktail with watermelon (I can't remember the name), but it was very refreshing and delicious. My boyfriend ordered the steak and fries, and he said he loved it as well. On top of that, I really appreciated the little details. When I asked for hot sauce, they brought out mini Tabascos, which is actually my favorite it was such a nice touch. One of my girl friends and I went there for happy hour. Happy hour is Sunday through Friday 3- 5:30 pm and also Sunday-Friday 10- close, which I think is really good for being in the city! This was my first time going I've been wanting to go for a long time as my friend said the burger is great. I ordered the STK burger with fries. My friend ordered beef tartare, meatballs and STK & frites. Everything was great I really enjoyed the meatballs and the beef tartare had a bit of spiciness to it which made it unique. My burger was good but I ordered it Medium Well and it came out Medium so next time I go I will order it well done :) I think the pricing was great for being downtown and the inside was very pretty with purple lighting. The fries were not my favorite because they were not freshly cut fries, but they were so well seasoned that I found them acceptable. This was by far my worst dining experience in years. I would not have been as upset about the service being extremely long. Reservations were at 830 seated by 915, we did not leave until 1155. We were well aware of the time limit on the table of 1hr and 30 mins. After waiting almost 2 hours from being seated, the manager came out and apologized for the time and offered a round of shots. After that we heard our food dropped and the servers brought out half the other of our table's food. I ordered a tomahawk and instead of telling us they dropped it, they put the bone and a normal ribeye on the plate. We order this cut everywhere we go, so the fact that a $92 steak was passed off as a $170 steak was insulting to say the least. And when I spoke up, I was insulted by the waiter. My lovely wife and I stopped by STK one weekday afternoon to check out these tasty selections. We were seated at the bar, and the service we experienced was pleasant and attentive. The happy hour cocktails are priced at $9, quite a bit less than the normal cost that runs over $20 per drink. The crab and corn fritters are a steal at only $3 for four pieces. To start, I came here with my friends to celebrate a birthday dinner. We were seated quickly since we made a reservation ahead of time. However, our server did not come over to greet us for over 10 minutes. I will say that our server was knowledgable about the menu. We ordered a variety of food. The next issue was our server's service to our table. It felt like we were rushed out of our dinner. She came over and tried to take my fries away. I wasn't finished and said I was still eating. A little while later, she came back and tried to clear the table again! So I asked for a box for my fries that I was trying to finish there. This is part of the happy hour menu, but is very delicious even for only 4 bites. Just wish there was more. Wagyu Meatballs 3 of 5: also on the happy hour menu, but the flavor was lacking. I could tell it was not much wagyu going on in this dish. Only get it during happy hour. It's not worth getting otherwise. Braised short rib 4 of 5: Great sauce and texture. Would order again for sure. The mashes potatoes underneath was the side I suppose, so order one separately if you'd need more food. Slightly to much for the amount. Brussel Sprouts 5 of 5: best dish for me. The combination of the thick cut bacon and cider was the most perfect contrast in flavors for this dish. I made reservations for a birthday dinner and no one acknowledge and I didn't say anything. The table next to us was also celebrating a birthday and our server seemed more chipper and happy to accommodate them compared to us. Don't get me wrong, the server wasn't "mean," but more of a nice nasty. I had to ask multiple times for the check then waited 20 mins to pay! I had to ask twice for lemon. I literally watched him walk around the restaurant helping everyone but us. Even when the host seated us, took him 10 mins to introduce himself compared to other tables that I observed. STK steakhouse was a great place to dine on Christmas Day. They made us feel special on the holidays and they had a special food and drink menu. All of the food was delicious from the ceaser salad, the wagyu potstickers were delicious, prime rib, and a warm chocolate chip cookie for dessert. The prime rib came out to a great medium rare temp. A lot can change in 10 months! Admittedly I have still opted to avoid the steak at STK Steakhouse and mainly been visiting for the happy hour. STK Steakhouse is an unbelievable vibe for happy hour. My favorite server is Sonia! She has a great personality and always makes visiting STK worth it. The drinks are newsworthy. I've had almost every drink at this point. The bartenders know how to make a well blended cocktail. My favorite classic drink is the STK Mule and my favorite specialty drink is the Guava Berry Kiss. The happy hour prices, in comparison to the regular menu prices, will have you questioning if the price is correct. They have so many menu options and all of the specialty cocktails are priced at $9. The food options on the happy hour menu are solid. They have a delicious Wagyu burger that comes in full size or slider size. The burger is well made and the fries are addicting, I would highly recommend visiting STK Steakhouse for a girls night out or for a date night. read more

While visiting Chicago, I stopped in to try the $69 Steak Night menu and ultimately concluded that STK is more about the vibe than the food. Here's the breakdown: Baby Gem Caesar Salad: The lettuce was tough and far too large to be baby gem. The croutons and dressing were fine, and the portion was generous. 2/5 Jalapeño Pickled Shrimp Cocktail: The shrimp were topped with pickled red onions and sliced red peppers. They were pretty average in size. Nothing exciting, but nothing terrible either. 3/5 Mushroom & Truffle Tagliatelle: I was pretty disappointed with this dish. I love truffle, and despite having flakes of truffle dusted on top, there was barely any truffle flavor, or any other flavor. In hindsight, I shouldn't have been surprised given the price point. There was plenty of mushroom, though, and the noodles were cooked al dente. 1/5 14 oz NY Strip (with a pad of lobster butter): We ordered it medium rare and received it closer to medium. I would have expected a steakhouse to execute steak temperatures more accurately. 3/5 Vibe: There were tons of large flies buzzing around the dining area, which was very distracting. We had to wave them off the table every 10 minutes. Otherwise, the ambiance is fun and club-like, with outward-facing booths, purple lighting, a DJ booth, and desserts served with sparklers mimicking bottle service. I could see this being a great spot for birthdays or bachelor/bachelorette parties. Service: We walked in and were seated quickly. It was our server's first day, so I can't fairly rate her since she was training, but she was very friendly. Overall, this STK visit was pretty lackluster due to the food quality. I'm honestly wondering what happened to this place. I brought clients here last night and the experience was extremely disappointing. To start with the positive, our server was great--attentive, polite, and clearly trying his best. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. I ordered a glass of Caymus. When it arrived, it tasted bitter and almost like vinegar. It was very obvious the bottle had been opened days earlier. I had to insist on getting a new glass, but when the second one arrived it was perfect. Mistakes happen, so I didn't make a big deal about it. Things went downhill from there. Several menu items we wanted were already sold out, which was surprising considering the restaurant was nearly empty. We ordered alternative appetizers, including mini burgers and a crab cake, and they were both very underwhelming. We each took a bite and left the rest. They also brought what they described as "fresh bread," but it tasted like a stale bun topped with large amounts of cold blue cheese. It was completely inedible. Then the main courses arrived. Two of us ordered the sea bass and another person ordered the short ribs. The moment the sea bass was placed on the table, there was a very strong, unpleasant fish odor--like river fish rather than fresh sea bass. It was extremely off-putting. I tried a few bites because I was hungry, but the smell made me feel nauseated. The other person couldn't even attempt to eat hers. The short ribs were tough and lacked flavor, and the creamed corn was watery and tasted like plain cream with no seasoning. We told our server about the issue and he took the food away. At that point we didn't want replacements. To try to make up for the experience, they brought us three glasses of champagne. We explained that we didn't really drink champagne, but I tried a sip anyway and it was flat and unpleasant. When the bill arrived, nothing had been removed. This was surprising considering almost everything had been sent back untouched. When I mentioned it, the server seemed embarrassed and went to speak with the manager. It took nearly 12 minutes for the manager to come over, and by then we were already very frustrated. Eventually they removed the sea bass from the bill. I've had great experiences at STK in Las Vegas and Miami, which is why I chose this restaurant for my clients. Unfortunately, this location was nothing like those. A colleague had actually warned me not to go, but I assumed it would be similar to the other STK restaurants I've enjoyed. Sadly, they were right. I hate writing negative reviews, but I feel obligated to warn others. If you're expecting the same level of quality as the Las Vegas or Miami locations, you will likely be very disappointed. To top it all off I spent the night in the hotel bathroom from 3am to 6am throwing up what little fish I ate. read more

This was the first time my husband and I had gone to STK to celebrate being married for a year and a half and a delayed birthday celebration but it ultimately ended up not being the best decision. We had arrived 15 minutes prior to our reservation and had received a text message that our table was ready upon walking inside. Despite the text and checking in, it took over an hour to get seated and many individuals who arrived after us with later reservations got seated prior. We would go up occasionally to the host who kept stating we're next but unfortunately it did drag. Upon getting seated our waitress was wonderful but at this point I was tired and hangry. The food came out late and was a bit cold and our waitress would consistently apologize as everything was coming out later than anticipated compared to tables that had bigger groups. With each entree normally costing $60+, the dinner for two option was a no brainer. And, I'm happy to say we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner! Our server was attentive and funny. She answered all my questions and made sure the dishes I chose were gluten free. To start things off, we each ordered a cocktail highly recommended by our server: award winning spiced watermelon and cucumber stiletto. Both drinks were very good. After cocktails, I opted for the bottle of red: Bonanza Cabernet - which is made by the Wagner family who also produces Caymus). The red went really well with my steak. The 14 oz sirloin was tasty and had a little bit of char on the outside. For our app; we got the shrimp - very nice. The shrimp were large. The sides were very good too: asparagus I cant comment on the dessert since it has gluten but hubby seemed to like it. Bonus - there was a DJ playing 80s songs which is right up my alley! I was in Chicago for the weekend and I've heard nothing but good things about STK, so I knew I had to check it out. It was raining upon arrival so it was a little crowded trying to get in. There was a long wait list for people with no reservations (it was a Saturday) but I was able to be seated at the bar and enjoyed my night. I ordered a Sidecar to start which I always do and the lovely bartender which I can't remember her name told me to try a flavor so I opted for a mango- very good! We went straight to entrees because I didn't see anything I wanted on the main menu so I got a NY Strip and some mac. These were both AMAZING. There was a garlic oil served on the side and it really upped the flavor. I ordered my steak medium and it was literally perfect, I wish I had pictures of the inside. There was a live DJ keeping the energy up and playing amazing music and this added to the experience. Overall, I throughly enjoyed my time there, great service, beautiful decor, and amazing food!
