    Chicken & Shrimp Hibachi
    Steve Z.

Been here a number of times over the years and it has slowly gone downhill a bit. They used to be great for Hibachi and Sushi, but it's also the other stuff that is a growing concern (dingy inside, kind of dirty looking, etc.). I had the Chicken & Shrimp Hibachi plate with extra rice. Overall decent but I could not shake the atmosphere. The salad however, was fantastic (dressing super awesome). In summary, if you are looking for decent food and don't mind the surroundings, there ya go.

We had a party of four on a Wednesday at 6:30 pm, had a small wait maybe 10 mins. We ordered a kids chicken with extra side of rice, 3 sushi rolls, and crab wonton order for an appetizer. The wontons were 5 stars I only wish it had more pieces! It came with 4 and they were so good. The sushi was all good but not great. We didn't get an option of low sodium soy sauce they just brought out the red cap, which we didn't complain about. The kids chicken was delicious and with the double order of side rice it was more than enough rice. As for the interior of the restaurant, the whole hibachi side was packed. It looked fun over there. Our waitress seemed to have a hard time hearing us when we ordered so that was a little difficult to navigate ordering, she would just stare at us and then say do you know what you want? When I just ordered to her face. We did get fortune cookies when we got the check, which was a fun addition. The menu stated tables of 5 or more are charged an 18% gratuity. To increase my star rating I would want more personalized service, a clearer menu (fried rice is not even on the menu as an option to order a la carte but you can order it this way) and photos of the menu items on yelp or on the physical menu.

We came here to enjoy a little late night snack. I enjoyed one of the new specials of sushi which it was really really good especially the dipping sauce that came with it. I love the steam buns. They are always delicious and the tempura fried shrimp was really great with the steam bun. The fried rice was just as good as when they cook it on the hibachi. The noodles were OK for me. I didn't really care for the texture. The mixed vegetables was good too. The server was able to make recommendations of menu items and he was nice.

BEST GINGER SALAD DRESSING EVER! This used to be my fav hibachi place but I'm kinda over hibachi so now I'm excited to see what other things this place has to offer. On my last visit I was excited to try the Asian Coconut Curry and it was delicious! I really enjoyed it! When do I want hibachi, I like to get hibachi chicken and mix the chicken up with their chile sauce. I also add sweet and sour sauce to my fried rice. At the hibachi you can also choose to opt out of your soup and salad and get more rice in your meal (though I was starving by the time my food came) or you can opt out of salad for two soups or out of soup for a double salad. Hubby even tried opting out of veggies for more rice but somehow ended up with both anything. I will say their ginger salad and is the best I've ever had. Their wontons are equally delectable (and on the Happy Hour menu!). This is the only place where I still like the clear soup. I did not like the pan fried dumplings and cannot remember if I like the other type they have or not (guess I'll have to try it!) The Hibachi Diablo Shrimp tasted better with chile sauce and surprisingly tasted better the next day. They have a happy hour (4:30-6:30) in which you can get certain appetizers and the mini sushi rolls for cheaper. We have definitely gotten more stuff because of that. It was great! The specialty rolls are different for each area so keep that in mind when visiting different locations. I had to pay 50 cents for each of these sweet and hour sauces. None came free with my order. But that's fine.

Dined here for a birthday dinner. Our party had two tables. I will say that I always give extra grace when there's a large party at any restaurant that I dine in. However, customer service and promptness is so important to me. Our sever was good, but she could've been more prompt. The server who worked with our other table (Justin) was amazing. He was prompt, attentive, kind, etc. There was a looooooooooong wait for hibachi for half our party. The food and beverage was nice.

We sampled several different sushi rolls, appetizers, and hibachi entrees. Everything was fresh and assembled with care. My steak hibachi was good The fried rice had nice flavors and my vegetables were crisp. The sushi was the best I've ever had. The same can be said for the crab rangoon. They came in an order of 6, were absolutely humongous, and were stuffed with crab meat and cream cheese. The restaurant itself seemed clean and organized, but I didn't notice much of the decor. The fried rice is what I remember! Recently Stix's fried rice has seemed to have gotten way more basic but Osaka has really stepped theirs up!! For example, Osaka uses seasoned butter, vegetables, egg, soy sauce, and chicken in their rice. Stix only uses egg and soy sauce now. The difference is very clear and I now prefer Osaka! I also LOVED Osaka's sushi. Talk about having sushi for days- my only complaint is I wish they'd make it easier to tell which rolls are deep fried and that they'd make the menu easier to open. I don't mind a huge menu, but one that I have to spread over two seats is not good. I have to admit, the chicken hibachi wasn't as good as I was hoping for, but I really liked the shrimp. I wish they had some spicy sauce besides sriracha to add to my food, like chili paste. But I guess I'll just get shrimp next time instead. The sushi though was great! I may also just stick to getting sushi here instead of anything else. The Yamabuki rill is so good but it's so big it's difficult to fit into my mouth in one bite. I have jaw problems so I might just have to cut this one in half. It's definitely good enough to get again. Is this the best Chinese restaurant in town? Good heavens, no!…read more But it may be the best in the buffet class, rivalling the Grand Pacific, though without the crowds, the noise, and the shrieking urchins. Good food throughout, regularly freshened. A small but nice salad bar (better than the Grand Pacific's). Others are right to lament the relative want of vegetables on he bar. But I do like their asparagus and their green beans. Favourites of mine include two or three of their chicken dishes...beef & peppers...their hot & sour soup (a tad too hot for my own very tame tastes, but a lovely flavour). One nice touch: on the bar, a big bowl of fresh chopped green onions to sprinkle on soup or other dishes--Ichiban's deep-fried shrimp is my #1 and gets a whack of those onions. There are a few regrettable things--not bad, really, so much as just ordinary. The "crab Rangoon" has been nowhere near either Rangoon or any species of crustacean. For dessert you can have fruit. Mostly canned. Ice cream in dixie cups. And regrettably commercial chocolate pudding. But then, we don't go to these places for dessert, do we? Here's one thing that needs to be remedied forthwith...Servers issue one big paper napkin to start, and bring lots of smaller diner-style serviettes on request. Good so far. But the last four times we've been, the big napkins have REEKED with an aroma that I'm pretty confident is mould. Yuck! My guess is that it's a storage issue. GOOD service. Prompt, polite, responsive, unobtrusive. A good place to go on a casual date, or with the fam, or with buddies from work. Good value. Chow down!

I've enjoyed introducing Thai food to a couple different groups of people and getting to try different things with them. I prefer Pad Thai with pork at spicy level 7 to really appreciate the flavor. If I have had a lot of spicy food then level 10 works but when not I prefer 7. The Pad Thai with Beef was surprisingly good as it is made with angus beef. The Chef's Fried Rice is super sweet and tastes really good without spice. I may try it super spicy one day but I think it's good as is. The sushi here is really good as well. My fav (and my fam's fav) is the Bomb Roll. When it comes to curry this is how I basically feel: - Red and Panaang curries: Great flavors, excellent choices to go all the way to level 10 spiciness. I always eat it with chicken. - Yellow: Has a really distinctive flavor that can be ruined by too much spice. I recommend level 5 or less. I've had this with chicken and tofu and both are pretty good. - Massaman: This curry has a very light flavor and is best kept at spicy level 0-3. People with peanut allergies beware: contains nuts. - Green: I actually dislike this curry. I don't really enjoy the flavor and its burn slowly builds over time after you have eaten your last bite and is hard to counteract. - Jungle: I thought I would like this one because it is just spice, but since it doesn't have coconut milk, it doesn't have any real flavor to it (to me anyway).
