Service POOR!! Overpriced! Over quoted!! Do not waste your time here. The willowbrook location is complete and utter trash. I dropped off a pair of pants to be altered, I was fitted & pinned left and said it would be ready in one week. Saturday came and I went in to get my alterations and I could see my pants still sitting on a hanger with pins in it--they were not touched! She gives me a lame excuse and says she had trouble knowing where to cut the fabric????!!! What? Then proceeded to ASK me where she should cut it? I was flabbergasted! I told her, " you are the expert"! How was I supposed to know where she should make the stitch?! She said okay you can come back at 5 and try them on again for a 3rd time and then she will confirm where to cut it. This is after I just let her pin it again, on my body! My slacks are brand new with the tags still on the garment. I was so confused and disappointed I had to walk away and calm down.In the end I returned and hour later and got a refund. What a joke experience! One thing I really can't tolerate is having my time wasted. If they couldn't do it they should have just said so. Plus there is a little bit of a language barrier which adds a layer of comprehension issues. This place is not professional at all. Better to go elsewhere. read more

AVOID THIS LOCATION UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR CLOTHES STOLEN AND WORN UPDATE: To be clear the pants were STOLEN and WORN. Disgusting that this company is still denying the truth despite the evidence. As mentioned in my review, our family was OUT OF COUNTRY from March 27th - April 1 (I have attached my plane tickets for proof). So my family and I were NOT there to pick it up between those dates. Additionally, Stitch It opens at 10AM from Mon-Sat. The invoice transaction history you sent me says that my pants were checked out on March 28th at 9:55AM. So 1: I was not present in Canada that day. 2: These were checked out by an employee before the store had even opened. 3: As mentioned in my review, I picked up only the pair of jeans on the 26th after receiving a text that it was ready on the 25th. Seems like the worker hid this pick up date on the transaction history. 4: Over the phone FARHANA advised me that someone came and picked them up on the 29th and the 30th (These dates are not on the transaction history and also I was not in the country as I returned on April 1st) It's clear that these pants were stolen and worn as these shady workers have decided to lie about the dates and the BRAND NEW PANTS had its BACK POCKET SEAMS RIPPED OPEN, TAGS GONE, AND PET HAIR ATTACHED ALL OVER WHEN I HAVE NO PETS. On March 26th at around 2pm-3pm we went to Stitch It in Willowbrook mall to pick up THREE pairs of pants: 1 pair of jeans and 2 pairs of dress pants. When we arrived they only hemmed the pair of jeans and not the two dress pants. They told us to wait 20 minutes for the dress pants but we told them we had to leave for work so we cannot pick it up till later. They told us to come a week later so we only bring the pair of jeans and not the two dress pants. On April 3rd we go back to the store as we are now home after our trip outside the country. We go to the store and they tell us that they do not have the pants. We tell them that no one checked it out but they continue to pressure us and say that someone in our family probably checked them out (they are unaware we were not in the country during that period of time so no one in our family could check it out). I call them again this morning and then they tell me something completely new. They tell me that someone checked out our pants on Friday, March 29th and Saturday, March 30th. Please keep in mind that our entire family OUT OF COUNTRY from March 27th - April 1. No one in our family could have checked those out. They refuse to tell me the workers who worked on those days and they refuse to check their security cameras and continue to tell me to wait a couple days. This is absolutely unacceptable and it's very apparent and clear that these two dress pants (which were both nearly $200 each) were stolen by these workers. Only when we filed a complaint to BBB, we immediately received a call back from them saying they found my pants. KEEP IN MIND THESE PANTS ARE BRAND NEW AND THE NAVY DRESS PANTS HAD TAGS. When I get there I see that that navy dress pants had NO TAGS, WRINKLED INNER WAIST BAND, RIPPED BACK POCKET SEAMS, and PET HAIR (I do not have any pets). Clearly these were WORN because when I dropped them off they came straight from the store after I bought them and I did NOT wear/try them on in store either. This is a disgusting and unethical franchise location and I am yet to receive any help or answers as to where my clothing is. I have paid the full cost for the hemming for ALL THREE PANTS and now my BRAND NEW pant is completely ruined and the manager FARHANA refuses to help out but only deny everything that has happened. Instead of answering my questions she didn't listen and instead talked over me the entire time saying that they can steam and tailor everything back to it's original condition when that ISN'T THE ISSUE. The issue is that these BRAND NEW pants were clearly stolen and worn until confronted by BBB and they refuse to do anything about the DAMAGE they caused to my pant. read more

I took two pairs of pants in to be hemmed - 6 days later, went to pick up. They were not complete, waited an hour for them to be done. They were poorly done - puckered, too high (hem was halfway up his calf). When I went back, there was a sign on the door that said 'Back in 10 minutes'. I waited 30 minutes, then asked a mall employee - they told me they would not be back, they close early, despite what it says on their website, or their door. I came here after hearing a good review from my mom who took my Opa to get two pairs of pants hemmed. My experience was awful. As previous reviews have detailed, the attitude of the staff member I dealt with was apathetic and borderline rude. I wanted to switch out the rings on my dress straps from bamboo to metal and tighten the straps. When I asked the older woman helping me if this would work she said that that was my decision to make. I came here to get a professional's opinion but... okay. When pinning the straps for tightening she didn't measure, just placed safety pins where they would be tightened. I thought this was odd but what do I know? I received my dress (for a friend's wedding) a week later. The straps were uneven by about half an inch to an inch. The excess fabric from the straps was cut in a jagged line and stuck out from the straps unless I tucked it in. Plus the straps were only sewn across with one line of stitching; as an amateur sewer I could do better. I went back (she didn't have me try on the dress before leaving so I had to come back once I discovered this.) She was unapologetic and did not seem to grasp how bad it was that the straps were not the same height. She measured the difference between them 5 times to be sure she was fixing them to the right height. The first time she got a 1 inch difference, the second time half an inch. I picked the dress up a week later (a week before the wedding I needed it for) and all of the problems were fixed. I bought a $300 dollar MMA gi (uniform) and the pants were long. I usually hem my own pants but this gi had really thick cotton material. I tried sewing it and I broke 2 sewing machine needles. I then called stitch it in langley and got a price. I had already cut my pants and I was afraid that they wouldn't stitch correctly. I talked to the lady and explained to her what I wanted. I wanted extra stitching and I was told this would cost extra, I really didn't mind the extra charge. When I picked up the pants, I was amazed by the quality of work, the pants looked great! I was really happy and I would highly recommend this place. read more

I went inside today to ask a simple question about pricing. When I entered the store I saw two women sitting and sewing. I waited patiently for one of them to acknowledge my presence and ask if they could help me. Neither did. For a long time. I stood there and was beginning to feel frustrated. They even began talking to each other and they giggled a bit and continued working. They were not very busy. Clearly they were not helpful either. I finally had to ask aloud, "Is there anyone available to help me?" One of the ladies casually stood up and came over to me without any apology. She showed no hurry in her gait, no sign of embarrassment for having made me wait so long. She answered my questions with a sort of you-are-not-important-and-you-are-interrupting-my-work attitude. She did not speak harshly to me; yet, her apathy and slight annoyance were obvious. As I left, neither lady offered a simple Goodbye or any sort of acknowledgement that I was a potential customer who may someday wish to give their store my money. Unfortunately, my experiemce was that they both had poor customer service skills, and I was not impressed. This stitching store may be the most convenient for me to visit, as it is the closest to my home, but I will look elsewhere as the employees' apathetic attitudes leave me wondering if they will care if they mess up an alteration on my clothing. read more

They will destroy your clothes! Customer service is terrible! My dress is unwearable. Asked to shorten 2 inches and they put black stitches on the red material!!! They cut 4 inches!!! All dress is stretched out and looks ugly. Making a complaint, want my money back. Stay away! Zero stars! read more
