Tucked away back off TV Hwy in the safeway shopping center is a chinese restaurant worth checking out. I stopped in for lunch and ordered off the reasonably priced lunch menu. The waiter was friendly and helpful. Since I'm a curry fan, I ordered the chicken curry for $5.95. The lunch comes with soup, tea and an appetizer. The service was fast and the food was very good. They will also make scallop or shrimp curry if you ask. The lunch menu is available 7 days a week and they also have daily specials. I thought this chinese restaurant was good enough to try again and I will be back. They did get a 93 out of 100 for their last health inspection score on 4/14./2009. read more

I took my dad and my husband here for father's day, it was busy but not crowded. I called ahead to make sure they had seats available and the gentleman I spoke with was very polite. We we're seated immediately and given tea and water immediately. Throughout the meal the staff refilled our waters without being asked. Service was polite and efficient. The appetizers came quickly and were delicious. We had the eggrolls, pot stickers, my husband and father had hot and sour soup while I had the wonton soup. Both were equally amazing. My husband got sesame chicken, dad got the seafood paradise (or something with a similar name) and I got broccoli chicken. All were absolutely delicious. I was surprised at how many scallops were in my dad's dish and how big they were. Everything was cooked perfectly and I only had to season my soup. What I really liked was that I didn't feel rushed at all, the servers weren't hovering and only came when they sensed we needed something. The food made great leftovers too. I ate here on Friday on the last day of my trip up to Oregon for work. I came here a couple years ago (2011) and have since changed to being vegetarian. I ordered the stir fried tofu and egg flower soup. The tofu was crispy and tasty, and the portion was generous for the price. The egg flower soup was plain but also tasty. The ambiance is okay, but it is across from Intel's Aloha campus and as such pretty busy at lunch with Intel employees. You can see the chefs cooking through the window. A little girl was waving at the chef who was stir frying some food and he smiled and waved back. Overall, I got a good vibe from the place. The service was pleasant and the two employees there were nice to me. I would come here again next time. read more

:-( the kung pao chicken is soggy breaded chicken bits. There's no veggies in it either, it's just chicken and some bits of green onion and whole chili peppers. Sucky! The Mongolian beef is kinda spicy usually it's pretty mild at most other places. The hot and sour soup is pretty bland, I added some sriracha sauce and a little soy sauce to help but basically it was all eggs and not a lot of veg in it. The BBQ pork tasted very gamey and soggy- just weird! Crabby poofs were basic but the sweet and sour sauce was pretty bad! Hate trying new Chinese restaurants and getting shitty food. read more

Ah, it was all right. First thing, though: avoid being seated in the back corner near the lounge doorway, right next to the emergency exit, especially in the rain. The emergency door is improperly sealed and it'll be like having a cold fan blowing on you all meal. Service not ostentatious but took good care of us. Food was kind of bland but of good quality. I liked my kung pao, but it was not strongly flavored. They do give you a ton of hot oil if you want it, but if you were to use even a tenth of that, it'd be like you ate napalm, so I would suggest being very careful with that stuff. I've been lucky enough to eat Chinese dishes while in part of China, so I have my bar set pretty high. They pass my requirements, so I'll return here again and again, guaranteed! Generally I like coming here for a quick cheap snack but lately things haven't been awesome. Their customer service has never been tip top and the food tastes like it's frozen, never fresh. A week prior I ordered for delivery and the delivery boy walked it right over to my place of business (in the exact same parking lot) as happy as can be. I tipped very well and was happy I'd be able to order for delivery in the future as I cannot leave my place of business- being the only one working for long periods at a time. Today I called and I spent 15 minutes on the phone while the woman tried to figure out my address (we can see each others business from across the parking lot), couldn't figure out my phone number, then proceeded to tell me they won't walk across the street to bring my food unless I placed a $25 minimum! What the what?! It was ultimately a frustrating experience and I don't believe dealing with them is worth my money, time, or effort any longer. read more

I am going to keep this review short and sweet today. My wife and I visited here for lunch and found the place was just about empty when we arrived. We sat down and tea was brought to the table with our menus. We both ordered off the lunch menu which I have to say was very well priced ($6.50 - $8.00) depending on what you ordered. The waiter did not ask us if we wanted anything else to drink. I ordered the Honey Chicken and my wife ordered the Cashew Chicken dish. Our food took the average time to come, about 10 minutes. The food was hot when it arrived and the presentation was average at best. My honey chicken was bland with not very much flavor at all. The chicken was cooked well and was moist as could be expected. The wife's cashew chicken was a little more flavorful but not much. I am hoping we hit this place on a bad day. :( read more

I went there today for the first time, and had lunch. Ordered the egg drop soup and the shrimp with lobster sauce. The soup was good; the shrimp dish was delicious. Among the best I have had. I will certainly return. The portions were large, the tea was brought to the table along with a glass of water, and unlike some Asian places, there was no charge for the tea. My lunch was $7.95. I must note that the shrimp were quite large, unlike the tiny ones I was served recently elsewhere. I did have trouble finding the place; went around the block twice before spotting it at the most easterly spot in a strip mall with a Safeway on the far side. It was worth the effort, and I brought home a menu because they will deliver to my house at no charge with a minimum $25 order. read more

Food is mediocre at best. This outfit is the one you turn to when you are desperate for food, and do not want to drive anywhere. So today, I placed an online order, for delivery. I waited and waited... and waited. Still no food. I finally called them (well over an hour later), and the person on the other line played the 'computer is down' card. I could barely understand him. We've been here a few times place is clean and there's a big window in the back where you can see them cook your food so that's neat. We ordered a bit of everything and the food is ok. Nothing to hoot about but also have no complaints. Food is ok a notch better than Panda Express and service is good and fast. If you're into it, they also have lottery machines. read more

I'm not writing off Stir Crazy Kitchen yet. I think. Not yet. Got takeout a few nights ago. I chose the Mandarin Chicken along with an order of the House Special fried rice. The Mandarin Chicken was okay. Pretty deeply breaded pieces of chicken in a rather tangy, sweet sauce. It was one of those dishes that was fine while it was hot and the chicken was crispy, but no amount (or method) of reheating it was going to make it palatable the next day. Call Dr. Kevorkian on this dish, folks, it ain't gonna be good after it's intended period. The fried rice was terrible. The "House Special" translates to a combo, which means bbq pork, beef, chicken and shrimp. The pork was atrocious: just chunks of gray meat with absolutely no flavor whatsoever. The beef, chicken and shrimp were fine, but very bland. There just wasn't any seasoning to speak of in the dish. Usually I give a fried rice dish the benefit of the doubt, but there was no hope for this, either. The fella I ordered from was friendly and prompt. Everything was on time, and the restaurant itself is clean and bright, if a little (lot) strip-mally. I'll venture to other parts of the menu, because the place is very close and they're nice. I just hope that the quality of the fried rice doesn't extend throughout the rest of the menu. read more

First off I love this place because they deliver! Since this is my only experience with Stir Crazy I cannot say anything about the actual restaurant atmosphere. But food-wise, extremely yummy. Their affordable, fast delivery (which to me means fresh) and the chicken is not overly breaded (soggy) or grisly/fatty. We always get the General Tso and Kung Pao. I've lived in the Aloha area for many years and have been to Stir Crazy Kitchen many times. I've had no issues when I've eaten there. My problem is in the past few months I've ordered Orange Shrimp 3 times to take out. All 3 times I've gotten home to find out it wasn't shrimp, I'm not sure it was even chicken. Whatever it was it was tough and rubbery. I had difficulty cutting it with a steak knife. It's no accident. I won't be back. read more

Hot and sour soup was awesome, crab puff one of the best I've EVER had and the General Tso was good, but not great. There were plenty of actual Chinese people eating here, which is usually a very good sign, as well as Chinese cooks. Service was fast and friendly as well. Well, they had my phone number with my order, no reason why they couldn't have called me and let me know. Have been looking for really good Chinese food since moving out to the Portland/Beaverton area. Have tried a bunch of places with little success. Tried Stir Crazy Kitchen tonight based on recent reviews and ordered Kung Pao chicken, which is my favorite dish. I get it everywhere and I always order it extra spicy. Usually places can't make it hot enough. Or at least won't. The extremely nice gentleman who took our carry out order asked if I wanted them to use their "secret weapon" to turn up the heat. Of course I went for it! The dish is magnificent! Tons of heat combined with incredible flavor. This is one of the very best Kung Pao chicken dishes I have ever had. Anywhere. So glad we went for it tonight. Will be heading back to Stir Crazy Kitchen soon for another fiery experience! Thank you for really exceeding my expectations! read more
