We came in as a small group and asked for one of the large tables with the lazy susans. Instead, they tried to combine a rectangle and a circular table. The idea was to eat family style, so how could we share with a seating arrangement like that. The larger round table was actually available, and after a bit of a back and forth, we were seated there. Eaten at stir crazy before it changed its name; since 1995. Ate there at least monthly, when worked at Intel most days for lunch. I think new ownership has happened. The food is AWFUL! The szechuan chicken we picked up tasted like FISH! HORRIBLE! They told us it was chicken, if it was it was UNDERCOOKED and cooked in a pan they just cook seafood in. I'm so sad to lose my favorite Chinese restaurant. We were near Stir Ceazy for the first time since moving out of the PDX metro a couple years ago. I got so excited for my favorite Mandarin Crispy Eggplant and my husband was looking forward to House Special Lo Mein. What a huge disappointment. It looks like there are new owners and definitely new recipes. Our food was not delicious. Bland, lacking everything we loved like flavor, color, fresh ingredients. the eggplant was covered in raw onions...what? The lo mein had no protein- a few small pieces of chicken but no shrimp, beef or vegetables. The kitchen has been covered by a wall- you can no longer see the chefs cooking. In this case it's probably a good thing... They're cooking garbage back there. We left our full plates on the table and left. We paid the full price even after talking to the owner and the person at the front. They didn't seem to care. read more

The mapo tofu is a stellar vegetarian dish that we will definitely be back for, and have been recommending to all our friends and family. Korean Chinese food is very different from regular Chinese food and in big cities, there are many choices., Recently found Stir Crazy Kitchen, and I am so glad gave it a try. Their Kanpoong chicken, not on w gloss menu, just on Korean menu is crispy and plenty spicy, sweet well caramelized. Jampong ( spicy seafood noodle soup) was also really good. Not much seafood in it thigh. Also has Korean Chinese style sweet and sour beef. Nice and crunchy ( request sauce on the side) was excellent as well. So if you are seeking Korean Chinese food, this is the best place in portland area. Next time will try their regular menu. read more

We ordered takeout the other day. I was impressed with the general tso's chicken and the salt and pepper squid. However, the broccoli beef was severely lacking. The rice was also pretty dry, and one of the other dishes I can't remember the name of, almost had no meat, even though it was a meat dish. I would try this place again. The food overall was decent. There aren't a lot of good Chinese takeout place near me, so this is worth checking out. We had to wait for our order much longer than the expected ready time. Overall okay experience. read more

I recently tried this spot after hearing that they are owned by the workers at former legendary spot, China Jade. And in fact they kept all of their menu from that restaurant also. Make sure to ask for the secret Korean/China Jade menu. So had to try and was delighted to see that the quality of food stayed the same. It was as delicious as I remembered. The jjam bong portions were giant, an spicy broth was so refreshing. I highly recommend! I also noticed that the front of the house was being managed by one person, she was so kind attentive and was working extremely hard. This restaurant didn't seem too busy, an I think that's such a shame! The food is excellent with incredible pricing. Especially the lunch specials. We have come twice for the lunch special and it was awesome! Lunch deals come with soup (house choice), meal of choice, egg roll, and rice. Most meals are around $12-14. Food was fresh and awesome! Lin's China Jade used to be my go to for Jjajangmyun / Jjampong orders. So sad they closed down. I was looking for a Jjampong place earlier, and this popped up. This place was only 4 minutes from my house. As soon as I saw other reviews mention that this is basically the resurrected Lin, I immediately left my house. As soon as you are seated, they will give you the standard menu. It has your typical American Chinese fare like general tso's, orange chicken, etc. The Korean options are available on a separate menu that you have to ask, so I did. I got the seafood jjajangmyun and fried shrimp coated in sauce (깐풍새우) with a side of kimchi to share with another person. We finished the noodles and the shrimp quickly. The shrimp comes with a side of rice. Pro tip: mix the rice with the leftover jjajang sauce and you have jjajangbap. We practically had 3 dishes. The price is good for the portion, and we left very satisfied and full! Will try Jjampong next time! I am so happy to discover this place!! read more

I love me a combo meal with some general tso and fried rice. Come to find out that they don't really have combo meals. Very disappointed. So we got the house special lo mein. Good flavor in the noodles. A little salty and I like mine a little more sweet but it was solid. Not a lot of vegetables, which is good, no one wants those empty vitamins anyway. My only complaint is that I personally don't care for ginger and toward the end I was having to play the "ginger or bamboo shoot" game. Jade's China Jade was one of my favoritr places to eat when I was a kid, so when I found out it shut down itnwas lretty sad. But then this place opened up with the revival of Jade's China Jade! The food here is comforting, they don't skimp on the portions, and it's just delish. I also appreciate that they don't use peanut oil because my wife is allergic to peanuts. Sadly, they food was even worse. Everything was so heavy in soy sauce, it was ridiculous. No other flavors or spice. Food was NOT what we ordered, portions were small. Our drinks were empty 75% of the time. We were never asked about how things were going or tasted. When we brought the wrong order to their attention, they shrugged and tried to make it our fault. 3 stars cuz the waitress was nice and the tea was very good , I drank the whole thing! I'm not sure what kind of Asian/ Chinese food this is but the fried rice I got was definitely not FRIED rice! It was basically white rice with just peas and carrots tossed in, even the chicken looked white, was gonna tell them to take it off my tab but I ate half of it as I don't like wasting food. The pot stickers looked good when they brought them out but idk what kind of spice they had mixed in with the meat but it was nasty! I only ate one, took the rest home to my sister and she also couldn't eat them. The fried shrimp starters were mainly just the breading. The best thing was the orange chicken my husband got but it didn't look like orange chicken and tasted more like general or sesame chicken. Finding a really good Chinese food place has been difficult with so many closures in the past year. Our "go to" restaurants have all disappeared. Just before the new year, we've been hearing great things about this place and we're pleasantly surprised! This is what we've been looking for: excellent fried rice, seafood, meat, and noodle plates brought us all back to the good ole days of just having fun, eating out family style. It's still China Jade or Jade China that sucked on Cedar Hills Blvd. They are the rudest people, the food is nasty, greasy, and tasteless. Definitely not fresh. Not sure what they put in their soup but it's all grainy. Ordered Sesame Chicken. It was worse than rubber. The waitress tried to tell us that it's a crispy chicken. Burnt chicken would have tasted better. She asked if we needed a knife. LOL! I was polite and didn't laugh in her face. Because that tells you something right there if you need a knife. Not sure what they call chicken, but that wasn't it. The soup was horrible. Rice was good, cook right for plain white rice. Glad I paid $12.95 for a half of cup of rice. Paid for what I got! This place won't make it because if it's lunch hour and across from Intel, and the place is empty. That tells you something right there. I shouldn't have gone in, when the parking lot was empty too. But I like local business-but not this one, it is off the list. I wouldn't give their food to a dog. So sad that we lost Steve and Johnny, now they knew how to make great fresh food and make their customers Happy! This waitress was rude and tried to sell her dried up, crispy whatever it was, because it wasn't chicken. Save your money and buy a frozen Chinese meal from Safeway better tasting. Now to go brush my teeth to get that nasty taste out. Don't go here. Panda Express is better, or Safeway Frozen section. I am always looking for good Chinese. It's hard here. My child always wants soup when she is sick. I am actually tired of pho. Inconceivable! On this occasion Cheryl D. suggested egg flower soup, here. In the ten long years I've lived and worked on this side of town I have never been inspired to go here. Child said " Yes!! Egg flower!" Ok then. I callled in our takeout order. The nice lady on the phone said twenty minutes AND gave me our $ total. Hardly anyone does that. The nice man gave me our well packed box of dinner and offered me a menu. No one does that either. +1 The food was piping hot. +1 and stayed that way until we arrived home. Egg flower soup was perfect. Just whispers of egg whirled into broth. Exactly how my mom learned to make it at Chinese cooking school. Princess ate the whole quart. +1 ( she is sick remember and had been asleep for like 48 hours. Hungry child). Rice was perfect. +1 Sweet and sour chicken was pretty good. Lots of pineapple, peppers and onions in a flourescent pink goo packed separately from the battered chicken. Batter was a bit dense. +1 for veggies. -1 for batter. -1 for color. Potstickers were good, a bit thick. I liked the vinagery dipping sauce. +1 and -1 for doughyness. Bbq pork was thin, dried out,way overcooked. -1. ( Although it did look pretty). No. The bbq pork at Fred Meyer is better. ( But get it from Good Taste or Uwajimaya). Mandarin Eggplant was cut in tiny cubes and battered like the chicken. It was crunchy and packed separately from its sauce which was loaded with crunchy onions. I wanted to like it. Ask Cheryl. I have an eggplant thing. But. No. -1. Not a fan. I can think of three other nearby eggplant dishes I enjoy more. If my math is correct, that puts my score at a 2. I don't think that 2 stars adequately reflects our experience. And we did not try any veggies ( Princess chose three things, I wanted eggplant and dumplings....gotta draw a line somewhere) nor did we eat in. This is one of our favorite places. Yet last nights meal was horrible. My husband always gets King Pao Chicken and I get Curry Chicken most of the time. Both were the worst we have ever had. His meal was very over cooked. Mine the chicken was coated (it should not be). And almost no sauce. It should have ample sauce. So disappointed in the meal. We have been going here for years. No issue...less? Easily done. No rice? Great. Every time that we go in, the service is amazing. I really am missing the dine in during covid...and wish they'd open.
