This place is a bit off the beaten path but worth a stop. Maggie (I believe that was her name) but ales a lot of pride in the busy her and her husband started. They grow their own botanicals/herbs that they use as well. The flavors of the whiskey/bourbon were great. Some unique flavors which is what drew us here. Their maple syrup is outstanding as well! The downfall is their items are pricey compared to other distilleries by $10-$15/bottle. With that being said we still walked away with Christmas gifts of Bourbon and Gin!

They are open to take away during pandemic. Cash only!

We were camping about 30 mins away and made a trip out to the distillery. Worth the trip. Maggie and her sons were at the storefront. They are opened during pandemic. Their sitting area is closed. **CASH ONLY** cell service is terrible so credit card machines don't work. The owner is very precise in his methods which make the "corn whiskey" very good. It's a solid neutral spirit great for shots. Siping or mixed drinks! They have maple syrup, gin, and other spirits. Maggie was great at letting us sample what we were interested in and gave us a history of the place and how everything is distilled. They use locally grown corn for the spirits. Can't beat that.

Free tastings of great spirits (the Corn whiskey and Maple infused version are particularly noteworthy) in a unique and well-suited location, but what sets this place apart is the friendly and accommodating nature of the owners. This is a charming family operation, and for the quality and craftsmanship, the spirits are reasonably priced too. Tastings are currently done in their well ventilated garage, which you see right as you pull up, and Maggie mentioned their plan for using the normal tasting room during winter with special protocols. The owners are clearly being thoughtful about their operations during COVID, and I look forward to visiting this place again soon!

About 30 minutes before closing, the owner's daughter refused to make us another drink, even though the distillery was still within its posted business hours. We weren't ordering food, just cocktails. There were four of us ready to order another round, so the business not only left us with a disappointing impression but also lost the sale of four additional drinks. If the posted closing time is 8:00 PM, I would expect drink service to continue until reasonably close to closing time. It's a shame because our bartender provided excellent service and we were really enjoying our experience up until that point.

They also sell local goodies such as jam, glassware, t-shirts, etc. My husband tasted the 2 small batch rye bourbons while I had the Creamsicle Crush and Barbarita (Raspberry Hibiscus Bourbon Margarita). Cocktails had fresh ingredients and unique flavor combos. Service was prompt and friendly. I want to go back and try more drinks. Server also mentioned we can order food from the restaurant next door and bring it inside the distillery.

We did two tastings and the tasting boards were nice. It's not much of a location to hang in- just one room so our loud group kind of took over. They have a few cocktails too which were tasty (one with chai and cardamom was nice). No TVs or food while we were there but if you happen to be driving in the area the bourbons and prices were good.

Why three stars? It is not a destination place. I am a fan of wineries and breweries that have a bit of ambiance and history to them. This is not one of those places. Upon arrival I wasn't sure if there was a tasting room or not. It looks like a warehouse with no defined parking and no "warmth" to bring customers in. The tasting room has space for 8 people and can be filled with 5. The tasting room is more like a converted office with the expected customer to be a distributor. I asked the server about the history or what makes their whiskey different from others. The answer was "We are between a micro distillery and a large manufacturer." I was hoping for something like grandpas recipes or locally sourced grains but I got nothing. I look for places to be and enjoy a drink with friends. This is not one of those places. This is a sample it, but it, and get out place.
