After sitting thru a relatively corny movie just across at Showcase cinemas, I eagerly had a taste for chicken. Sure, I could've opted for KFC or Popeyes, but I wanted something new. I have been curious to try Sticky's, so I figured why not? I stopped in around 8:30pm on a Saturday night and things were calm. Only a few folks eating inside and the line was short. The ambiance seems to be that of a fast-casual restaurant. Their menu is focused mainly on their chicken strips however, they do sell chicken sandwiches, wraps, and chunks (known as poppers), as well as a plant-based option (mushroom poppers). Moreover, each of these options can be ordered traditionally (meaning fried in original seasoning) as well as tossed or dressed in a variety of sauces. Speaking of sauces, they have a nice variety for all of your dipping desires. I was indecisive on whether I wanted strips or poppers, so I asked the kind staff to help me. The person suggested I go with the 3 piece chicken finger combo with a side of fries and drink. For sauces, I decided on buttermilk ranch, cray sauce, and chipotle aioli. Please note, only 1 sauce is included. Additional sauce will cost you. My meal was up within a few minutes and I took it home to eat. The chicken fingers were great. It had a nice crunch to it and they were seasoned nicely without being salty. In addition, it seemed to be white meat and the juicy. The fries were subpar though, nothing special. I feel like I've had better fries at regular fast food joints like Popeyes, and when I was done, I wished I had ordered the classic fries instead. Among the sauces, the cray sauce, which is a Peruvian cilantro jalapeño sauce, was my favorite. It did not taste spicy but the cool, creaminess of it was great. I also liked the chipotle aioli but it was standard with what I'm used to, nothing distinctive. The buttermilk ranch was ok. I would not order it again as I've had better. Altogether, it was a good meal however, don't think 3 pieces was enough for me as I still felt a bit hungry afterwards. Maybe a 5 piece or more fries, would've given me the feeling of fullness. In terms of pricing, I paid about $15 which was a bit pricey but standard for this type of dining.. In terms of service, staff were kind and helpful. I had changed my mind between classic fries and Cajun, shortly after ordering and they made the adjustment without hassle. Overall, no issues. I would return and I recommend others as well. It's a nice spot to fulfill that chicken desire after a long day of shopping or movies.

Sticky's is a fairly new hot spot in Yonkers. Super packed when I got in around early noon. The line was backed up to the door so I stepped out, did some shopping and went back. The people were very friendly but the service was kind of slow. Food: Spicy crunch chicken wrap 8.4 They loaded the wrap with chicken tenders and was completely satisfied. I wish it would have been a little spicier.

Didn't want to wait for Shake Shack so I walked on down a bit to Sticky's . As a connoisseur of Zaxby's I knew not to get my hopes up too high but. ..Sad face. Underwhelmed with the fingers. However the fries were soooo good!! I might come back and try the mushroom poppers and certainly get another order of those delicious hot seasoned fries.

This place I always thought had good nuggets, but it's always filthy. I only go because my 10 yr old likes them. The tables always have garbage on them and the concrete floors make it very un inviting to sit and eat there, not to mention the wobbly tables with napkins stuffed under the leg to "sturdy" them.

    Dirty napkins on the table.

This place is FILTHY. The name is befitting because the floors and tables are sticky as all H*LL. The table in the dingy section where you are supposed to eat was wobbling. Ugh never again. Food was ok nothing spectacular.

Went to Sticky's in cross on what seemed to be opening day and let me tell you the chicken taste phenomenal it taste like it went to Sunday school every week its packed with flavors and they have a plethora of sauces to pick from for our order we got the house sauce which is Sticky's that resembles a white bbq sauce the lemon piccata sauce is a hard pass really doesn't taste like much but the vampire aioli was the real winner here a creamy garlic parm taste that would protect you from any blood sucker all in all stickys gets a 5 star review from us over at ch0pstixs on instagram make sure to follow us !

So, this one was a real doozy of a visit. The drinks were fair, with our order being a Goose Island…read moreIPA, Long Island iced tea, and a pomegranate martini. The service and food, on the other hand, were quite a mixed bag. We ordered a margherita pizza, pancake tacos, steak and eggs, and French toast with a side of sausage--the pizza, at least, was good. However, the "French toast" was more like an anemic panini press trying to pass as French toast. The steak and eggs comprised of a fairly well-cooked (that is, it was the right temperature) yet underseasoned steak of a relatively dubious cut, underseasoned home fries, and eggs done wrong (sunny side instead of over easy). The lattermost was the start of the problem, as I was willing to give it a shot, but found the texture off-putting. In light of this, I brought the problem to our server Adalia, who brought it to her manager Elvia. Thankfully I had someone else with me to tell me what happened: Elvia came over without addressing me on their error, silently took a look at my plate and instructed Adalia to have the kitchen put the eggs back on the fire. She takes my plate to extract the eggs, and brings them back (unsurprisingly) completely overdone, first in Elvia's hands, then in Adalia's for her to serve; we send for a refire, and they come back correct 7 minutes or so after I've already finished eating. Considering the hassle it took to get them, I couldn't trust it enough to eat, leading them to waste as well. After all was said and done, the GM Amer comes over to see how things were, and was thankfully helpful and understanding of our situation. Here's the rub: I was initially willing to overlook the steak, the home fries, and even the eggs if the error was properly ameliorated. Adalia and Amer both did very well, and I'm grateful for them for that; Elvia, on the other hand, managed to break the chain of competent customer service by directing the server to handle the problem in a way that was set up for failure (if you mess up an egg, it's an immediate refire because of how the egg cooks in the first place -- Amer also arrested to that policy) all without addressing us and taking accountability, due to negligence or whatever else. Not only that, but when sending the incorrect eggs over the second time, she couldn't even bring it to us herself--it would have been easy, seeing as she was the one that originally had them--and left Adalia and her tip to potentially take the fire if the patrons happen to be angry. Mistakes are fine--everyone makes them--but I'd describe this as cowardly more than anything else, and I take issue with that in particular from a leadership standpoint. While Amer graciously extended an invitation for a better experience next time, I can't say I'll be taking him up on the offer when their service and food are this misaligned; unfortunately, a disappointment overall.

I was deciding between the turkey salad and the Chicken Salad Ciabatta from the lunch specials and asked our server how the chicken salad was, She said it was her favorite and that it was a lot of people's go-to, so I decided to order that. Our food came out pretty quickly. We ordered the Heritage Nachos, Loaded Tater Tot Skillet, Philly Cheesesteak, and the Chicken Salad Ciabatta. The nachos weren't really for me (I didn't love the type of chips used), but the tots were good and my boyfriend liked his cheesesteak. I absolutely loved the chicken salad sandwich and fries. I get a little fixated on foods I like, so I had honestly been craving that sandwich ever since. 3/14 SECOND VISIT: I decided to come back on March 14 specifically hoping to order the chicken salad sandwich again. It was much busier due to St. Patrick's weekend,I was alone, I was seated in a booth in the back. I was given the dinner menu, so I asked the server about the chicken salad sandwich I had previously ordered. She didn't recognize the sandwich but offered to ask the kitchen after I showed her a photo and the menu from my previous visit. Unfortunately she came back and said they couldn't make it. She suggested a grilled chicken sandwich, but I declined since I'm not really a fan of grilled chicken. I ended up ordering the turkey sandwich and asked for a few modifications (no stuffing or cranberry mayo, just regular mayo on a ciabatta). When the food came out, I immediately knew it wasn't turkey. I waited until the server came back and asked her to confirm what meat was on the sandwich. She initially told me it was turkey. After taking it apart & having a few bites I knew it wasn't turkey. I winded up eating the fries and asking for the bill. I decided to show her the inside of the sandwich again and asked her to double check with the kitchen, she returned and confirmed it was actually ham, even though the ticket showed that she ordered turkey. She did offer to remake the sandwich, but it would have taken another 10-15 minutes and at that point I was already over it. I ended up just paying, and leaving. I completely understand that menus change and servers can't memorize every item. I just wish the sandwich had been confirmed with the kitchen sooner when I questioned it the first time. Overall, my first visit was great, and that chicken salad sandwich was honestly amazing. I just wish the second visit had gone a little smoother.

To make matters worse, one person in our group didn't receive his meal until everyone else had already finished eating. The owner stopped by and casually explained that this "sometimes happens on busy days," and offered us drinks for the inconvenience--but we were still charged for them at the end. When we brought this up to our server, she claimed she wasn't aware of the offer, and we ended up paying full price for everything. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience, with very poor customer service.

However, I'm happy to report that I dined here recently and had a better experience. Since the time of my initial review, La Casa remained in my periphery - mainly because my parents periodically visited and it was a frequent stop of one of my friends who lives in Bronxville. That being said, I was curious to check out La Casa again - and that opportunity came when my mother chose here to celebrate Mother's Day. La Casa is located just off the main commercial strips. The interior is pretty spacious with a bar towards the front of the restaurant and the main dining room split in two sections. The decor is somewhat under-toned with a cool color scheme and tasteful decor. This is in contrast with other Mexican restaurants that tend to go overboard with the kistch and warm colors. I will say the seats look a little tired, they could use some re-upholstering - and were a little lower to the ground than I expected. In addition to the indoor space, they have an outdoor section which was done up very nicely. The brunch menu contained a selection of apps, sides, quesadillas, tacos, and sides. We decided to start by splitting a few apps: brisket and al pastor tacos, a quesadilla, street corn, chips and guac, and more guac with tuna. All the apps were tasty - the biggest standouts for me were the quesadilla and the tacos which were all generously filled and had good flavor. For my main, I got the camarones a la diabla which were shrimp in a red pepper sauce placed atop beans and paired with bok choy. The dish was pretty good - the shrimp could have been a bit snappier, but I appreciate that they de-shelled them and the sauce and beans worked well with them. Dare I say the bok choy was the star of the dish? It had just enough flavor and added a needed green. We opted for dessert, and I got the grilled pineapple which was paired with (per the menu) vanilla ice cream or guanabana sorbet. I wasn't asked to choose, and was served the sorbet. I would have liked to have been given the option, but maybe that's all they had - fwiw the sorbet was good. The pineapple was candied and came as a large, thick ring - definitely needed a knife and fork to cut it up (which they provided); this was a good dish in concept but I think it can be executed better. Service was good, everyone was friendly and efficient. In my experience, service tends to be the weakest component of a meal on a holiday, but they did a great job. Overall, I had a good experience at La Casa. Even though it's not in my backyard, I would definitely return if the opportunity presented itself.
