    Swiss cheeseburger. Lemonade. Yummy.
    Tanya R.

I am a burger lover. Today, Jimbo's served me a Swiss cheeseburger that tasted like love. Hot, juicy and fresh off the griddle-my tomatoes were fat and red and my pickles were crisp and delicious. Ice cold lemonade from the fountain was the perfect drink for washing it down. I'm generally only this far uptown for work and Jimbo's burgers are one of the greatest lunch treats.

My fiamce is pregnant and i wanted to get her a nice breakfast. They made these eggs uncooked. And refused to allow me to speak to their manager. DONT BUY FROM HERE!!! EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! Eggs were not even cooked correctly!

Did you guys really refunded me $2.50 for a $12 burger??????????????????????? I am a regular customer!!!! I understand that this is a difficult time for everyone esp small businesses. $2.50 really. Keep it

We were thrilled to find two seats at the end of the bar when we arrived. As luck would have it, the two gentlemen next to us eventually left, allowing us to slide over and enjoy an even better view of the TV for the rest of the game. I started with a Tito's and club soda, but unfortunately, something seemed off--perhaps the club soda was flat. The drink just wasn't good. To their credit, the bartender took it back without hesitation and was very accommodating. I then ordered a Negroni after the woman sitting next to us highly recommended it. I don't usually drink gin, but this cocktail was absolutely delicious and changed my mind. Since we were there for several hours, we shared an order of zucchini and eggplant chips and happily snacked on them throughout the game. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, with a nice mix of ages and people enjoying the evening. We made sure to leave our bartender a generous tip since we occupied our seats for the entire game. Even though the Knicks didn't pull out a win that night, we certainly didn't leave defeated. I'd happily return for another game, cocktail, and fun evening out. And maybe even get dinner there. Little did I know there was another big room in the ack once you past the restrooms. They were having a thriving business there!

We got to have our dinner in the dining room which was so much nicer and peaceful than the bar area, which I also wouldn't have minded but it was too noisy for a relaxed evening. Service was wonderful and very accommodating! I also loved all the monkey decor, it really tickled me every time we spotted a different monkey haha. We started with the truffle monkey bread! It was so good! For my entree, I got the miso cod, buttery mashed potatoes and a coconut margarita which were all amazing! We even got a complimentary dessert for our anniversary which was a salted caramel ice cream with a candle! We also ordered a banana split for fun and we loved it. I would definitely come back even in the bar dining area because I want to try everyone else's food recommendations! 10/10!

The bread was perfectly soft and paired really well with the cheese, truffle and butter it came with. The crab cakes were delicious, crispy and well seasoned. For mains we shared the cheeseburger, steak frites and prime rib French dip. All three dishes were great and all the meat was cooked perfectly medium rare for us. Finally for dessert we had the chocolate pie which we all loved. It was the perfect way to end the meal. If you're able to get a res here I think it's well hyped!

We loved the French onion soup, it had great flavor and the cheese on top made it so amazing! everything came out hot and delicious. We got there pretty early and I wish that we had gone on a day they had breakfast. The breakfast photos caught my eye. After we paid and gave our 20% auto gratuity, our waiter Jose asked if we wanted to leave additional gratuity. Our tip was already $25 and I was actually surprised he asked for more. We declined and left. Out of my whole entire trip this was the only restaurant that asked for more than the 20%. I found it rather odd. My review is based off the food itself.

He took the time to listen to our concerns and invited our group back so we could give their group another chance. While I still stand by how our initial experience made us feel, I also think it's important to acknowledge when a business owner responds with professionalism and genuinely works to rebuild trust. Our return visit was a completely different experience. I appreciate the way the owner handled the situation and his willingness to have an open conversation with us. It doesn't change what happened that first night, but it did change my impression of how much he cares about his guests and his business. I wanted my review to reflect that as well.

We are so thrilled that we ended up here. It was the perfect way to end our day. Cozy yet elevated pub atmosphere. Relaxing yet also fun. Great ambiance and good energy amongst staff and customers. There was a wonderful bartender and waiter (both from Ireland) working the night that we went. They were both delightfully witty. Two-part, proper settle, tight dome, no rushing it. That's rarer than it should be in Midtown where half the bars treat a stout like a lager. Whoever's behind the bar here has been trained or grew up around it. Food's better than a second-floor pub between 5th and 6th has any right to be. The JRB burger comes on a house-ground patty (they grind in-house, and you can tell, loose texture, actual seasoning), caramelized onions cooked down all the way, not just softened, good cheese pull. Fried pickles on the side had a crisp cornmeal shell and stayed crunchy under the burger juices, which never happens. Buttermilk chicken salad was the surprise. Chicken actually brined, crust stayed on, greens weren't an afterthought. Only real knock: music was loud. Not sports-bar loud, more like the bartender's playlist got away from him. Fine at the bar, harder at a table if you want to talk. Room's got real bones. Reclaimed barn wood, old rail track as a foot rest, that big 45-star flag on the wall. Been here almost 20 years and it's aged into itself. For the neighborhood the pricing's fair. Beats P.J. Clarke's on the burger, loses on quiet. Go for a beer and a burger, not a date.
