Mini maki maki & salmon sashimi
    Eva K.

Let's be honest, I get all excited every time I hear new food place opening in Amager, including Sticks n' Sushi. I usually don't go to this chain for sushi but since this place is within walking distance from my apartment, I feel like I need to try. Location: Right there facing the water by Amager Strand, five minute from Øresund st. Clean style, with open kitchen, with nice bright room and with outdoor seating Food: We ordered Mini Maki Maki (half of the Maki maki menu) with Sashimi shake tataki. Food came pretty fast and they were super tasty. I guess I have to frequent Sticks n Sushi from now on. Everything was delicious and the salmon sashimi was really good. I'm usually not into maki rolls with tempura ebi but these tempura ebi tasted very good with the right level of crunchiness. Yum! The other two maki rolls topped with salmon had cucumber in the middle and I ate it without protest (for you who don't know, I'm not exactly BFF with cucumber). Service: Flawless. The staff (waitresses) were young but they were very service-minded and taught to put customers above everything. Our waitress was very patient when we couldn't decide at first what we were going to have and even when we just decided to move inside from our outdoor seating (because it was too windy) and she checked if the food was okay, she offered a water refill for me (I didn't order drink and was pleasantly surprised that she brought a glass of water for me). The only thing that is probably negative about Sticks n Sushi that it's quite pricey, but then all good sushi places in Copenhagen are pricey. Considering that the sushi were very good and the sashimi were excellent, I guess price corresponds with quality. I could always count on getting sushi from this place from now on, I suppose, yet I'm still looking forward to my next trip to Japan where we could get good sushi with cheaper price :)

Quality dessert for a perfect price! And very tasty as well, and creatively thought.

Sticks'n'Sushi is my absolute favorite sushi place. My happiness for it increased when I heard that they were gonna build one 500m from my home at Amager Strand. The food was absolutely amazing, the waiters were nice - as always & the restaurant is beautifully and creatively designed. The only thing that made me give one star less, is because my sister and I waited for 25 minutes, to get our drinks the second time. We could understand and respect that the restaurant was only 1 week old, so it was understandable. But it was a little bit disappointing when they also forgot that my father ordered a beer more. But that doesn't stop me from coming to their restaurants because this tiny disappointment only happened once and it was, as I said, understandable! :-) Even in London's Sticks restaurant, the food and service was amazing! Highly recommended sushi chain, if you're a sushi love like myself :-)

Service was amazing. They offered a hot towel for my hands before I began. The decour and ambience was mellow and hip. The speed of which the food came was tardy. Food was delicious. Not a quiet place, energry is great tho. Bathrooms were clean and nice and had lotion! Wait staff all friendly with smiles loved it.

Great view and service, however the sushi quality was absolutely terrible. Very similar to grocery store sushi. It was disappointing.

Pretty decent/good sushi, nice atmosphere. The service and waiters could be nicer, especially given the price.

Since day 1 we've been itching to give it a try but schedule just didn't permit it. So we made it a point to dine here on our last night in Copenhagen. True enough it didn't disappoint. Came in without a reservation on a Sunday night and we were seated right away. We decided to get the "As good As It Gets" combo which includes the following: Sesame Edamame - soya beans, grilled with supreme soy & sesame Hotate Kataifi - scallops, miso aioli, trout roe, kataifi & shiso cress Kani Korokke - crab croquettes with wasabi caesar Ebi Bites - tempura shrimp, miso aioli, chili, lime & coriander Tuna Tartare - tuna, avocado, sesame, miso, yuzu and spring onion on crispy flat bread Shake Tataki - salmon, sake-tamari marinated trout roe, daikon, miso, ponzu & daikon cress Hiramasa Kataifi - hiramasa, kataifi, chives, shiso, truffle oil & ponzu Temaki Setto (create your own handroll) - wagyu tartare, lobster & yuzu, kataifi, cress, soya sesame, avocado and sake-tamari marinated ttrout roe with sushi rice and crispy nori Ebi Panko - tempura shrimp & spicy sauce, topped with avocado New York Subway - tempura shrimp, avocado & spicy sauce, topped with salmon & garlic gindaro no miso, black cod & miso Hotate Bacon - scallops & bacon with miso herb It may sound or look like too much but we definitely devoured every single bit of the set. We paired our meal with Purple rain and espresso martini Excellent service. Excellent food! Definitely a must try. April 2026

Our server was also very friendly and provided good recommendations on the menu. The place was lit dimly like what a bar would be bit it was still packed to capacity that night. After perusing the menu, we elected to ge the "As Good As It Gets" set which included a Sesame Edamame, Temaki Setto (create-your-own-handroll), Come for a Swim (hot & cold small plates), Grilled Sticks (black cod and scallops), and Nigiri (Ebi Panko & NY Subway). This was a lot but we nibbled on it pretty fast. We paired it with my Purple Rain while my wife matched it with her usual Espresso Martini. Everything we tried was fresh and great tasting. Would definitely recommend this spot to any Japanese cuisine lover.

They are located at the top level of the hotel. It's recommended to have a reservation to dine. The staff was friendly, but wouldn't accommodate any party without a prior reservation. The food was excellent! I remember getting one of the set menus to share. It came with sushi, yakitori, and appetizers. The set was called (something like) "The perfect day", which it truly was!

We came around 7PM on a Monday and it wasn't too busy. We were able to walk in and get sat right away outside (I definitely recommend sitting outside). It's got a nice view! Our server was very kind & answered a ton of questions we had about what to choose etc. We started with the tuna tartare which was light and refreshing. I thought the avocado on it would be more like cut up pieces instead of more like guacamole. I thought it would be better that way. I didn't love the texture of the avocado they put. We also got the blanched spinach with the goma sauce which was tasty but I wish it was warm instead of cold! It was a pretty small portion as well. Things I really loved: the seared salmon sushi - it was very fresh & the pieces were large! We got the wagyu stick and MYYYY GOD if steak were butter than that's how I'd describe the texture. Sprinkle a little of the flaky salt on it and it's one of the best things I've put in my mouth. Things I didn't love: the miso cod stick. I've had this before elsewhere and it's been way better. I expected the texture to be buttery and for it to not taste fishy - it was neither of those. Also, Ted Dansen & Lilly Collins walked right past our table so overall had a really cool experience here!
