Excellent service and follow up! I scheduled a pick up for service today. Stick Docs sent an email confirming pick up for today, called me to confirm that they were sending their pick up driver, texted me when he was 10 minutes away, and again when he got here. Sam evaluated my daughter's board, gave a fair estimate of the approximate cost, and agreed to drop it off at my work address. But Stick Docs shows up at your office, takes your board away and like magic it's delivered back to you ready to go. They always show up when and where they say they will and make it so super easy. I needed to get my skis tuned up for one last session to Mammoth this past weekend and my local ski shop had wrapped up their tune up department for the summer. After some online research I found this ski tuning service and at first I couldn't believe some of these reviews. They had to be too good to be true. So these guys are kind of like Postmates, you can get your skis tuned up and waxed anytime by booking a pick up from their app. Soon after placing a repair request I got a call from them confirming my request and had my skis picked up that same evening. The pick up guy explained exactly what my skis needed down to the bevel angle of my edges! A great part of their service is allowing you to pick the turn around time for your repairs. I was able to select how soon I needed my skis back. They even had a next day service which is what I selected. When my skis came back they looked like they were brand new again. The workmanship and quality of their ski repair was beyond what my local shop had ever delievred. I'm definitely using these guys again next season. read more

No wonder these guys get such good reviews. Pick up and drop off of your board/skis is included in their service prices, and their turnaround is fantastic. Called them last Thursday and originally scheduled a Saturday pick up (they were pretty booked up), but got a call that night that they could actually pick it up that same night. The driver went over everything with me, and even talked me out of getting a minor tune on one of the boards since all it needed was a wax and edge. On my other board, had a 2-3" gash from going over a rock, and that ended up fixed as a part of the major tune up (that board was pretty beat up) so didn't even have to spring extra for the base repair. Ended up getting the boards back on Saturday, and the boards look great and are ready to hit the slopes. All in all, these guys absolutely rock, and do a fantastic job. read more

I don't think it could have been any easier. I needed some Look bindings mounted on a new set of skis, which can be really tricky. I made the appointment and they picked up the skis at my office! Two days later they brought them back and Voila! And... they waxed the skis. S. California doesn't have much to offer in terms of ski support, but these guys deliver! read more

Can't thank these guys enough. They picked up my board from my house and dropped it off, providing excellent communication throughout the process. I can't think of an easier workflow and will only use Stick Docs in the future for all my board and ski needs. They returned my board on time and looking almost brand new. I was amazed at how they transformed my old(er) Burton Custom 156 that had been sitting in a board bag for nearly two years untouched (had a baby and was out of commission for back to back seasons.) Anyway, they cleaned the rust, sharpened the edges, filled the holes, scrapes and minor gashes. Please note their standard turnaround time is 5 days, but they are willing to accommodate shorter turnarounds for a minimal fee...they can even do same day or next day if you're really in a bind. I just needed a simple storage wax for my skis and had been putting it off because I dreaded having to find a ski shop in LA and lug around my skis to get them there and back and I hate traffic... Basically, I was lazy and they had an app and they picked up and delivered AS THEIR STANDARD and I thought, sure, why not? The man who picked it up was super friendly and informed me that it could be done in 2 days instead of 5. Love these guys. I rented boots+board from these guys twice this season and have been stoked with how it's turned out. They have good boards and more importantly, quality comfortable boots. Honestly, the best part is that these guys deliver to your door and pick it up from you when you get home. That's the biggest sell. I freaking hate having to go into crappy rental shops and wait to rent mediocre gear once I get to the mountain. This wont save you money, but it is a well priced and is totally worth the luxury of not having to make extra trips running around town. read more

had my snowboard tuned by Stick Docs and my experience with them was superb. Calling them to schedule a pick up time was a breeze. Tony(?) who picked up my board was professional and informative on what was needed to be done on my board. I went with the Minor Tune up which was $60 for a 24hr return service. He brought back my board this morning and told me all the details. He also knocked off $10 since my board was already in pretty good condition to begin with. Definitely would hit up again. read more

I was very skeptical about Stick Docs as the service they claimed to offer was too good to be true. I am very happy that I was proven wrong. I have a pair old skis that I thought would only need a wax and an edge job. However, the driver (sorry, can't remember your name) carefully inspected my skis upon arrival and recommended a major tune up. He explained what will be done on the skis and gave me an idea of what the skis would look like when finished. The base had a lot of cuts and even a rock managed to be stuck in it. when I got the skis back in two days, I could not believe my eyes and hands (feeling the base) as it was as good as new!! The base was not smooth and all filled up, not even able to tell where the damages were. The edges were nice and sharp and looked just as new. The services that Stick Docs at the price they are offering is truly remarkable! Especially when you consider that there is only a handful of brick and mortar ski shops around Los Angeles.
