A piece of shit

Do not make the mistake of buying any product that is not backed by the manufacturer? I spent over $10,000 in this company in the last 20 years and they won't even call me back to fix my products. Do you want to eat a 3 course meal on a desert island with a saltine cracker, these are your guys. Avoided It all costs unless you can fix the products yourself. They close their store And no longer back their products , Thanks guys, Iraq, not

E-Glide GT board back and ready for action !

I have purchased several high-end electric skateboards from e-glide over the years. This weekend I had some difficulties replacing the battery pack in one of my boards. I took the battery pack which they had sold me the previous week (sent via FedEx very promptly) and the board up to their shop in Santa Monica, a one hour drive each way for me from Orange County. Mike provided me with prompt and highly courteous service, and had me out the door in 30 minutes flat, including a post-repair check ride. I highly recommend both their products and services ! Scott Hale, satisfied customer.

Eglide electric skateboard

I brought in an electric skateboard that I bought on Craigslist and the first time I went by at 4:30 they were closed even though I was told they didn't close until 5. So I had to come back another day and the guy in charge of the place had a real attitude and was a major dick just because I was trying to modify the board with all terrain wheels because the small wheels it came with were too small for my need. He had a bad attitude and made some very rude comments like I didn't know anything. I know I don't thus why I wanted his help. But he had no interest in helping me, he was content just making me feel stupid. I hate stuck up people like that & won't be going back there or recommending eglide to anyone.

The team putting together my bike and checking it for QC

So happy that I purchased my e-bike directly from E-Glide. I had browsed several e-bike models online and decided to buy directly from the shop in Santa Monica and not a 3rd party seller. It was an excellent choice. Dave greeted me as I walked up to the shop and I explained that I was interested in seeing the SS. He gave me a demonstration, told me about the bike, and let me test ride it around the block. They accepted card without a problem and hooked it up. I waited around about 20 min as his team put the bike together and test rode it for QC. They gave me a rundown of the charging system and basic maintenance of the bike. Overall, I am THRILLED with my new e-bike and with the EXCELLENT customer service that E-Glide provided. I recommended them to my coworkers that are also looking for e-bikes and I'll continue to recommend E-Glide to everyone else on the market for an e-bike. I'll be back bc my wife wants one now, lol.

During that time, I wasn't curious enough to walk through the doors; I just chalked it up as another brand-new nice-ass spot to ignore as I walked by after hittin' at the beach all day (doing street shows, the best one on da beach alongside Uba-Uba, Mr Animation, & Calipso Tumblers, of course [Big ups to Harry Perry & Hercule's]. Anyways, I walked in a few days ago bc it was one of the only things I recognized. After donating all my decks and snapping the only one I kept in half, I wasn't trying to buy another one - so I'm very grateful I was able to, and did. Skated everyday since three days ago, and I feel the most genuine to myself I have in a while for doing so (exponentially affecting productivity). Thank you Nick!

The store is remarkable and serves the Board community well. The thing about Arbor over other sporting goods type stores is that the products designed and materials used follow strict sourcing requirements to reduce the impact to earth. I got my first Arbor shirt at REI over 20 years ago and have been an avid follower of their products. I ended up buying several sweatshirts and hoodies which were embroidered or printed in very cool fashion. All the items I purchased were 50 percent off and are of great quality. The cashier and main employee was really nice, as we had nice conversations about our dogs and how she got into boarding. With such nice savings, I'll be back for value priced summer clothing in the next few months.

TL:DR - Friendly customer service, bad surfboard repair job…read more This is going to be a long review, but if you want the short of it. -Took my longboard in, to repair a scrape, and get it color matched. -Got back a repair job that isn't color matched at all. The repair isn't even flush with the board. -Got more dings on my board than when I took it to them. -Check the photos. If you surf in California, it's not a matter of IF you'll get a ding on your board, it's a matter of WHEN. All the surf spots are lined with rocky shores that will ding your board. I am no exception to this rule and have dinged my longboards many more times than I can count. The one upside to this, is that I've become really good at repairing dings of all kinds. Whether it be on the bottom, the rail, the tail, the nose, anything I can do. What I can't do though, is color match. That is a magic unto itself. I was looking to sell an orange longboard of mine, but it had a scrape on the bottom side of it. It's not deep and it didn't crack through to the foam. If I wasn't planning on selling the board, I'd sand it down, fill it up with a little bit of Q-fill if it needed it, then fiberglass over it. Done and Done! BUT, I want to sell it, so it needs to look good, it needs to be color matched, and it needs to work. I heard a lot of great things about the repair jobs from Bay Street Boards, and decided to take it to them to color match and fix it. BIG MISTAKE. I should've known better when I pulled up to the shop and saw someone balancing a 9ft' longboard over their knees while scraping off wax. No stand, the board just wobbling about, almost hitting the concrete ground. Yeesh. I relayed all the info above to the repair guy and he said it was doable. He said color matching is tricky, but that'd he get it close enough. I was charged a $120 and left my board with them. I wasn't in any rush to get my board back, and it was about 5 weeks before I could pick it up. Is this fast or slow? I'm not sure, like I said, I do my own repairs and can fully repair a ding in a day. PRO-TIP: if you are going to get your board repaired by a surf shop, remove all the wax off of your board. There are 2 reasons for this: 1. If there is any wax near the damaged spot it will fuck up the repair. Wax will gum up the sanding pads, it will interact poorly with the resin, and it gets everywhere. Take it off. The repair guys will love you for it. 2. Removing the wax, will give you a very intimate look at your board. You will see any dings or damages that you hadn't noticed before. This is also important because it gives you a reference point and will let you know if the surf shop messed up your board even more. (Foreshadowing) I pick up my board and in the dim light of the surf shop, I can tell the color match isn't even close. It looks like they sanded over it with a too high of a grit sanding pad, and then glassed over it. They didn't sand it down at all to smooth out the fiberglass texture, and they certainly didn't add any dye to the resin to try and color match it. What the fuck?! In the dim light of the shop, I didn't notice that the sanding job was shitty too, it wasn't even flush with the board at all. There's a couple small depressions where the ding is and it's wavy. If you're going to do a shit job, at least make it flush. Every surfer knows to make the board flush on the bottom, you want that water to glide over it without any friction. At home, I had more time to study the board and found even more issues. I noticed that there were small gravel sized dings on the bottom of my board. Each dug into the board about an 1/8 inch. I know these were not there before because of having de-waxed my board and because these are literally impossible for me to get while surfing. These could only occur if you put a surfboard down on concrete/gravel ground to work it. (Remember that guy outside the shop.) Just to hammer home the case, the ding by the finbox can ONLY occur when there is no fin in. Nothing could hit the finbox at all with a fin in. And how do I know I didn't have these dings beforehand, refer to pro-tip #2. Another thing I noticed were resin drips on the bottom of the board that had hardened. This isn't that bad of an issue to correct, just a little sanding, but the fact that they did that, let's me know that they're sloppy and don't pay attention to details. Overall, this was a terrible experience. I paid a $120, for a bad repair job that I'll have to undo AND I have new smaller dings on the board that I'll also have to fix. Yeeew!

Another ding they caused. This is impossible to get surfing because the fin would prevent anything from getting close to the fin box.

When I came across the Eggboards website I was instantly intrigued and made an impulse buy right on the spot--something that I haven't regretted at all :) I only have a few months of longboarding experience and this was pretty easy to get the hang of within a half hour. I've been having a blast on it since and will probably ride this more often than my longboard..it's just so small that it tempts you to bring it along (and pretty light weight too!). The Eggboard turns with ease and you'll feel pretty stable once you get the hang of it. You won't regret it!

But I don't like carrying things so I was looking for a penny board- but then I found the eggboard and I fell in love. I needed to have one. One week later- my amazing husband surprised me with one and I have been (trying to) ride it ever since.
