Awesome to have a small business locally that knows what they're doing with great care for your equipment. I recently took the plunge and bought my first set of skis. I definitely didn't want to mess them up. My sister told me to take them into REI for installation, but my gut said otherwise. I called and was told to bring in my boots for binding installation. Overall, they finished it before I expected. Super nice service and fast. I would rather go here as opposed to REI where some random guy might be really experienced with snowboards but not skis or vice versa. You can only remove and replace bindings on a ski 2x so i'd rather not chance it. read more

Such an easy process and fast turnaround. These guys know what they're doing and make ski/board maintenance accessible and easy. I didn't plan ahead and thought I was going to have to pay rush fees (which also are not at all unreasonable) but one quick phone call & they were able to do major tune-ups to our (2) skis + (1) board in 2 days even though a snow storm was coming in. Stick Docs has the best customer service. We called so many other ski/snowboard places and everyone said it would take weeks to get our bindings put on. Stick Docs, took our calls (no putting on hold or robot secretaries) and even though it was the incredibly busy first snow they made time after hours to put our bindings on so we could go skiing with family that was only in for the weekend. As a beginner, I also appreciated how they explained the way they set up the bindings and they even made sure our boots fit correctly. I needed bindings mounted on a new pair of skis and had limited options living in Los Angeles. Was also looking for a fairly quick turn around so I could squeeze in a few days of spring skiing in Mammoth before the snow is completely gone. Brought the planks in on a Saturday afternoon, had them delivered to my front door Monday morning. The ski technician even called me to answer some technical questions I had before beginning the mounting process. The work was flawless, the advice was solid, and the process could not have been more simple or convenient. Yeah, you can go to REI and get the same work done for a little less cheddar. Needed to get my skis tuned for a last min trip this weekend but couldn't seem to find anywhere in LA to get a tune?!! I finally came across their pick up/ drop off services online and read really good reviews so I decided to try them out. I ended up bringing my skis into their shop because they said they would waive the rush fee if they didn't have to send the driver to pick it up for same day service. Definitely would use again but hopefully next time I can use their mobile pick up services instead when I have more time since standard turnaround is about 4 days. I had used their pick-up and drop-off service in the past but needed to get my skis tuned and bindings mounted for a quick Mammoth skiing trip with my kids. Brought in the skis and my kids snowboards and they were very helpful. The ski tech went over the needed repairs and had my skis and my kids snowboards waxed and edges sharpened. One of my kids snowboards had a core shot and not only they patched it up, but they also color matched it so the repair doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. They don't carry any hard goods for sale such as skis or bindings but they do carry snow goggles, ski bags and boot bags along with DIY tuning equipment. A wonderful ski shop. I strongly recommend it. Incredibly helpful staff who are genuine. One time, I went to Stick Docs Ski Shop looking for a stone gummy for rust removal. I was in a rush. They were out of stock, but they kindly said they have one for use in the shop and they can take care of it. Initially, I was worried because I thought I was going to be charged for labor. But it was FREE! They worked on it for a solid 15 minutes and they didn't charge me! What a friendly and helpful business. I know where to go when I need work done on my skis. My snowboard fell off the rack on the highway and didn't think it was salvageable. My coworker insisted I call Stick Docs and have them take a look at it before I throw away my board. After speaking with the ski tech and sending him pictures of the damage he said they can fix the board. Low and behold they were actually able to get it back in excellent condition and the cost was reasonable. They also mentioned if the repair area needs a touch up in the future, just to let them know and they'll take care of it. I am very impressed with their service and the repair I received.
