Ask the Community - Stick Docs

Does Stick Docs sell a variety of alpine ski boots?

Hello, we apologize for the delayed response. Unfortunately we do not sell boots or equipment here. We are primarily a tune and repair shop and sell a very small selection of ski bindings and accessories.

Do they offer heat molding and inside toes shaving services?

Unfortunately we do not. The last place left providing that service is Sprts LTD in woodland hills.

With the store in my sites I pulled a hard right without rolling the SUV I was driving and parked... Amazing surf shop for goodie , surf boards and skateboards. Grabbed my Val Surf logo sweatshirt and a weird Nike shirt cause it was kick a$$ white with hot pink drawing... Now I explored and found great surf gear from major brands I won't mention but the shoe selection was amazing, especially the VANS. The suede leather Vans were awesome and I desperately wanted a few pairs but I didn't have room in luggage.... As I was walking past UGG's display they had the sand color version and again if I had room I'd bought a pair... Super cool " Dude " handling cashier duty's was awesome. The over the top skateboard decks blew me away located behind him and I only wish I was 12 again so I pester my parents for one... we had a good laugh about age and away I went... NOTE : Speaking of killer items and this wasn't for sale was wooden shoe by Vans with images of old school pro skaters including the "Godfather of pool skating" Mr Tony Alva! For those who don't know him well he was a member of the Zephyr Competition Skateboarding Team, or the Z-Boys.... Can't wait to come back and I'll have a bigger luggage bag for more gear. But needless to say this stop was amazing and worth the wait...

It's off season so I've been itching to be on the mountains and this was the closest feeling I got. At first, balancing and being on the board was interesting and I felt like it was different feeling than snowboarding but after getting the hang of it, it was really fun! My instructor was James and he was patient and understanding. He provided valuable feedback and tips that helped me feel more confident with control and balance on the simulator but I definitely would be using the tips on the mountains as well

It's a super clean, modern studio. All the staff are extremely welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about helping you make the most of your visit. Shoutout Connor who was my private instructor. He was amazing and totally calmed my nerves (this is nothing to be nervous about, LOL. But I didn't know what to expect!) The ski simulators offer customizable difficulty levels, making them accessible to both beginners and seasoned skiers. They can be so advanced that even the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team uses them for training!!! I was amazed at how much I improved in such a short time since I've only ever snowboarded before. Plus, it's a fantastic full-body workout, burning up to 700 calories in just 30 minutes!!! Totally recommend this experience.

OMGGG..I can not rave enough about this place!!! Ever since a good friend recommended it to me…read moreyears ago, my fam and I have since come back for our EVERY snow need. PF Powder (aka P.F. McMullin Snowboard and Ski Co) is a cute small business ~ literally your one stop shop, specializing in all things ski & snowboard. It's located in Santa Ana in the deserted looking Edinger Business Park. They are definitely known for their discount prices on all winter/snow-related gear, outerwear, and accessories, as well as services like waxing, tuning, and rentals. When you walk in, the store is so neatly arranged and organized, it's super easy to find everything you are looking for. After coming here for so long, I legit just discovered that upstairs houses their "gently used" section, for those looking for an even more affordable option. The workers are super friendly, with a chill vibe. Everyone is knowledgeable & always willing you help you. My lil fam of 4 snowboards every year, so we have come here (year after year) to update our snow outfits, to googles, boots, snow socks, thermals, & beanies. You name it, they have it..AND we've bought it! Even when my kiddies wear younger..babies, we even got sledding/tubing gear here, so they could play in the snow. We really appreciate the affordable prices ~ ranging to discounted ones to more pricey name brands. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

We were greeted multiple times stepping into the store and asked if we needed any help. We just came here for a snow jacket to prepare for real cold. The inside has cool decorations, snowboard brands etc kind of like a little wooden fort. Theres even a laddered second floor where they sell 2nd hand items. The store is divided into sections for board care/rentals, they have curtained fitting space and a toilet. They even have helmets and ski shoes. The prices here for snow jackets/gear (have pants too) are definitely cheaper than other name brand outdoor places and good quality (150-200), even cheaper than some outlets (but im not too well versed in brand comparisons so dont quote me if you are seasoned). I I think accessories might be cheaper at outlets?, but its more convenient to get everything in one place. They have toe warmers and google covers. They even have the board conditions for different mountains written on a white board as if you were up there in a resort. It would be great if they had a diagram for beginners of what clothing items/essentials to get including accessories and thermal layers as the store overall is very approachable to a southern californian newbie. The only thing is that it is a bit hole in the wall, parking is a bit confusing as you do look like you're pulling up to an inn. But there is a parking lot and we seemed okay parking there for our time here. Had a good time here, would recommend it to anyone looking to get into winter sports.
